A woman with a very broken accent called me twice.  The second time she called she seemed very angry and said "Do you know why I am calling you?!?!?  I asked for her phone number and she told me she would give it to me after I talked to a technician regarding the bugs I had in my computer.  I told her no and to go away and stop calling me.  I knew right away she was a scam.  I listed them as telemarketers but they are really just very poor scam artists.

It is a scam.  They are NOT from Microsoft/Windows.

Somebopdy with a very broken accent called and claimed they were  Windows Tech support. They asked if my computer has been acting up.  It is because it has been infected with a trojan. I told them we take our computer to a local comouter repair shop when it acts up. They instructed me to go to my computer and wanted me to go to al sorts of windows.  When I wouldn't give them any data or codes they hung up on me.  I figured this was a scam so I am reporting it.

This call is a scam from people claiming to be Windows Tech support. They say that your computer is sending data and that it is infected with a trojan. They instruct you to look in some folder on your machine and recite some code to verify that they have access to your computer. The gag is that those names are the same on every machine. All of this to convince you to pay them to clean your computer by buying their software.

Dont get scammed. However, it can be fun to pretend your doing what they ask and wasting their time and long distance bill. If you want to get rid of them quick, just say you have a Macintosh and they'll quickly hang up.

Received a call from 278-567-3612, rang twice, connection was not good, nobody responded and who ever it was hung up.

Received a call saying they were from the Windows Technical Department.  They were very rude when I was trying to get a phone number from them.  They kept giving me different phone numbers and would not be truthful with their information.

I had a very difficult time understanding them and kept asking to speak to someone who could speak clear English.  The caller just kept trying to disguise his voice.

I believe this may have been a scam call since the caller was not willing to give me the correct phone number.  The number I have listed was the number that called me.  When I tried to call it back to verify it, it said it was not a good number.
