What if u gave them a cc #

My husband works out of state and he called me tonight. The call FROM him showed up as THIS number. What the heck?  I am wondering if it has anything to do with an app I recently installed. Hmmm.

This phone number is related in an Identity Theft case that my fiance and I are now fighting.  I have never seen this number before and it has never called me but while gathering information from the various agencies in this struggle to fix this the social security office told us that this number is connected to her social security number.  This is odd because my fiance is from Georgia and the first Texas number she has ever had is an 832 area code which is her current cell phone.  Whoever is connected to this phone number is obviously into criminal activity.  BEWARE!  I promise there is nobody that will read this that wants to go through what we are having to deal with now.

This is a scam.  For years we have received from about 2 to 8 calls on our inbound business 800 line.  Total cost to us is only from about 16 cents up to as much as a dollar a month, but they have
done this for many, many months and probably do it on thousands of phones.
We contacted our phone Co. but they say they can do nothing to block the number.

They call and charge many times when our office is closed and no one would be here.
A SCAM.

This phone number has shown up on several phone bills.  We do not know who it is.

Returned the call & message said it is a non-working number. Called it twice & got the same message each time.

The call came in on my cell phone.

I get calls from my cell number 15-20 times daily from this number. Sometimes it goes through to my voicemail and I here a 2 second hum. It could be a collection agency? I started getting the calls the day after I signed up for a facebook game (IQ test) I submitted my cell phone number to retrieve the results. I don't know if this is related.

We have been getting hundreds of phone calls from this number at our call center.  We are going to pursue legal action to find out where they are coming from, but we need help to take this on! same thing happened to me

For years we have received calls from this number on our WATS line.
Not a huge amount, $2 to $3. per month, but AT&T says they cannot block the calls, so continue to charge for them.  If we delete them from our bill AT&T re-sends them the next month, with late-payment charges added.

Odd thing about calls from this number, they show coming thru to our phone at all hours of the day, and this is a business phone with attendant
12 hours each day.  We know they don't actually come through.

I'm not sure what is going on with this, but I just called my credit card company from my cell phone, and the automated system asked for verification that I was calling from this 281 phone number--apparently that's the number that shows up on their caller ID for me, and my phone has a 303 exchange and is nothing close to this number.

Three calls were charged to my on-line Phone Card;
Total of $3.68 plus Service Fees and Taxes.

Received several calls on our 800 inbound WATS line.
Has been going on for months and we can't stop them.
We know the calls do not come through to our phone, since it is a
business phone and answered all day, yet several come in each month.
No information on caller ID.
