LEGITIMATE call from HP service in response to support case that I logged. They did leave a message.

Got a call, but no vm left. If they can't bother to leave a message I can't be bothered to care. Blocked the number.

Got a call from this number and the name that came with the caller id said "Williams, Britt"
Nice lady, asked for two employees who don't work her and thanked me for her time.

Got this call from Hewlett Packard. I was not available to answer it at the time and they left no message. But it was in response to a complaint with HP and I had asked a supervisor to call me back, so I believe it is a valid number, and I will answer it if they call again.

It's a solicitation call from HP. And no matter how many times you asked them to take your name and number off their calling list, they continue to call. They harass businesses to promote their services. This is why I don't use HP products.

I chatted with HP customer Support this morning and ordered a part. They had to call for more information.

Legit call from HP Support... while having an incredibly strong indian accent, they are helpful and if you're called by them you likely entered your number into HP support at some point.

Was at work when they called I'm not allowed to answer the phone when I'm on my sales floor so I click my power button to dismiss the ringing they proceeded to wardial my phone I had to silence my ring 7 times while in a 30 second conversation with a customer very bad manners from a company that just made 6 grand off me
april 2013-08-05 17:20:14 Unknown
That looks like a spam call to me.
april 2013-08-05 17:19:26 Unknown
I don't own any HP devices, I've never registered any HP devices, I don't know why HP would be calling me. However, when I answered I heard a very soft beep and then long silence.

Calls me everyday but no one ever answers even when I hear background conversation, doesn't sound legit at all.

I had the same phone call here in costa rica, and I asnwered and it was to know about the prices of medical exam. Which is very strange because what does it have to do with it? I thought it could be from skype, but I could not get any info about. If someone knows please let me know.

Hp tech support calling regarding an open case
GJA 2013-04-09 13:12:21 Unknown
They keep calling me at work but I don't own any HP equipment nor have I ever opened a service ticket -- hardly a courtesy!
Just Me 2013-04-05 18:56:25 Unknown
Sounds suspicious
Don 2013-04-01 19:23:49 Unknown
I wonder if this is a Skype number or the like. I called back and entered the 7 digit number from an email from DHL and I got the person who sent the email from DHL.
don 2013-04-01 19:19:03 Unknown
I received a call from this phone number and called it back. It was definitely from a person I spoke with at DHL collections. No question about it.

I got three missed calls from this number. It would make sense that people are saying it is HP, as I ordered a laptop through their website this morning. However, I never asked for any help from customer service or tech support. I tried to call the number back and I couldn't speak to a live person. They asked for "my agent's number ID" and since I obviously don't have one, they disconnected the call.

This is HP tech support follow-up call for a ticket logged. Chances are the IT guys who work in the shadows so your environment 'just works' called them - and your info is on file for warranty information (e.g. your name is on the registration).

Got a call from this number at 9:20 pm last night. I don't answer calls from area codes I don't recognize. Got a call from an 800 number this morning that left a VM. It was from my Discover card, checking some suspicious activity. The one I could confirm as FRAUD was a supposed charge from HP Homecenter two days ago, for $1,540.40. I froze my account until I could check out other activity also, such as the $1 from Yahoo Wallet the same time as HP, of course, to verify it was a good acct. number.

It is the supervisor of the Technical Department following up on my call to Tech Support. So don't be a fool next time, and instead, take the call you dummy

HP had huge sale on high end laptops that ended last night at 12:00 midnight. I wanted the 20% off the $1500 machine so spend a long time finding the exact right configuration, adding and deleting configurations from my "shopping cart" during the two hours I was online with them. Then I ordered the one I settled on, but forgot to use the right credit card (I have just moved to Florida) and the shipping address was different from the billing address on that card, so changed to correct credit card and it went through. It did, but I am sure that it looked suspicious to HP and they did the right thing by calling me today just 12 hours after the purchase to ask me if indeed I had just purchased one of their laptops online the previous night and to confirm shipping address----they asked no additional financial or personal information. Just a polite call to confirm that credit card fraud wasn't taking place.
There may be problems with their sales dept using the same number to make cold calls but I can tell you that if you do business with HP then you can trust that it is a legit call regarding a purchase or service question for your machines. If you have a problem with cold calls from sales and have NO HP equipment then I would look up customer service or complaint line at HP.com You can find their privacy statement here at: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/privacy/privacy.html
read that and all your questions will be answered. They provide ways to "opt-out" of sales calls, etc, and will even remove you from their online collection of personal info by web beacons and cookies that are on HP sites and companies OWNED by HP (that is where many of you who have no HP products may be getting your info into HP's hands, through one of their subsidiaries).
there is even a one website "opt-out" for collection of personal data by all "participating" companies located at: http://www.aboutads.info/
as regards to DHL, there is much fraud perpetuated on their name's behalf, because they are a truly global company (have pulled out of US market but still are world's largest logistics/shipping company) and yes they have a page to make complaints and to report fraud using their name. here it is:
http://www.dhl.com/en/contact_center.html (just read or click on appropriate link)
1-800-CALL-DHL (1-800-225-5345) where you will find the following automated system:
The DHL automated system is a speech and touch tone enabled service that allows callers to perform various self-service transactions.
The numbered prompts to choose from are:
1. Schedule a pickup
2. Track a package
3. Billing question
4. Find a drop-off location
5. Ask about something else
6. Spanish (must say Español)
7. Get a rate or transit quote
8. Delivery notice
9. Hear news about DHL
0. Representative
DHL Customer Service Representatives are always standing by with help or additional information (price quotations, other queries). Simply press ?0? or say ?representative? at any time. Your call will be instantly transferred to a friendly, knowledgeable Customer Service Representative, along with any information you have already keyed in, so you don't have to do it all again.
so press "0" and ask them to remove info from their system, if not in their system report it then as fraud using their name at: http://www.dhl.com/en/legal/fraud_awareness.html#brand_use
hope this helps you all. take care, God Bless!

A woman said that she is from HP, asked for our IT Dept.
Don't have one . . .
"How about someone in charge of your network & computer?"
We have an outside vendor that works on them.
She then said something about being able to help us save money on networking, etc.
Told her we didn't have a need right now . . .
She kindly said Thank you and that was it.

Received a call from 281-257-7820 - the guy said he was calling from DHL and needs to update our computer software. We do not have any DHL software on our computers.
jenni 2012-08-10 18:36:11 Unknown
they said it was from HP, but then they wanted additional personal information of the type you give to get your credit report. It didn't seem right to me, so I forwarded the info to HP.com
