They left a message stating they were "Liquid Education" and referred me to an 866 #.  Wanted to find me school to continue my education.

just got a call from this number # 281-385-8228 and said he is a recruiter for school/ job placement. he said he got my number from affieliated web site. i asked which one and he siad there is over 1 million. i dont believe him, i  told him i would get back to him.

SAME AS ALL THE OTHERS THIS PHONE NUMBER INDIAN ACCENT NAME GAVE WAS DAVID COOPER FROM HOUSTON LAW FIRM. I WASNT QUIET AS SMART AS SOME OF YOU. BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS LEGIT CUZ I DID HAVE A PAYDAY LOAN. BUT I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED NOW FOR ALMOST 2000.OO . THE BANK IS TRYING TO HELP ME GET SOME OF IT BACK BUT FOR ALOT OF IT IS A LESSON WELL LEARNED. JUST GOT ANOTHER PHONE CALL TELLING ME A WAS APPROVED FOR A GOVERNMENT GRANT FOR 7000.00 BUT NEEDED MY ACCOUNT NUMBER OR DEBIT CARD # TO DEPOSIT MONEY IN TO IT. I TOLD HER SEND ME A CHECK ILL DEPOSIT IT MYSELF. NEVER GOT ANOTHER CALL.

This ediot says his name is Jimmy Johnson, same as everyone else posts, same thing, they have a legal issue that is time sensitive. if I don't reply leagle action will be taken. jimmy Johnson? give me a break, he could not even speak good english. They just want your info to get your money.

I just received a call from this number stating that I ow $300 from a loan that I never made back in June.  This person was harassing me on the phone saying that I was being sued for the amount of $300 that I supposedly ow to this agency. I had asked for the information of the suppose case that is against me in court tomorrow and the account number that money supposedly went into and he said that he didn't have that information, he did not want to provide me that information. He also asked me for my social security number, I did not provide it. And again he harassed me saying that I was going to have to pay $3,000 more. Who is this people? And what is it that they think?

some guy called and claimed to be from this law office .he said that we owed money to this payday loan co.he said that this was our last day to take care of it or he was going to sign the paper and send it to the sherriff. this guy was named jimmy johnson and he talked with a foreign accent

a few weeks back i was hurting on cash and searched around the internet for a quick cash loan... then I saw the interest rates and whatnot and figured being just broke was better than a snowball of debt into eternity and declined any offer i was actually given....since then i've received hundreds of phising emails a day, and telemarketers calling every chance they get. i thought it was finally over last week until this number started calling saying there was legal action taken against me and i would owe 3400.in 48 hours with cops at my door..unless I paid John Smith (the Indian guy on the phone who could barely speak English) upwards to 700$...so I hung up...and they called back...and called again,,and again. I answered finally to tell them off and he yelled at me for hanging up and continued to yell that I was breaking the law! he then read off the last 4 digits of my social and email and address...it's a scam tho so glad this was here so i didn't freak out. if it was a real case i'm sure i would know by now. f*** this dude!

This company left a message on my voicemail saying that my SS number is being investigated and that I could face legal actions if I don't call the back. They called me back 20 minutes later and when I answered they asked if they were speaking to a Karen Lions and I told them they had the wrong number. The guy's name was a Kenny Anderson and he a strong Indian accent. Anyway, when told he had the wrong number he replied "really?" . I said yes. He says "how disgusting!". He then shouted across the room, "hey guys, this is the wrong number!". How professional is that? This is a scam. Don't fall for it.

received a call from a guy called "Jim Wright" stating I have a lawsuit pending against my SS for a loan I supposedly took out. I get calls all the time periodically. They will stop for awhile, then start up again. It makes me so mad!

I have been getting calls like these off and on for about the past 6 months. It's usually someone who barely speaks English, from India. Their name is usually "Jim Jones" or "Mike Williams" something general like that, although they have heavy Indian accents. Anyway, after filing complaints with the BBB, FTC, States Attorney General AND getting an alert placed on my credit report, I'm still getting the calls from time to time, letting me know that I'm "going to jail" etc. THESE CALLS ARE A SCAM! I do not owe anyone money at all. They are counting on people owing someone, somewhere & confirming their information, or worse, giving credit card or bank info. When they call now, I answer, when they ask for me, I say "you have the wrong number!" They USUALLY don't call back from the same number. If they do, I block the number (when it's an actual legitimate #). If you DO owe a company money, which is unpaid, contact that company directly & make arrangements w/ them, not these scammers! Believe me, I've been working in the banking industry for 15 years & this is NOT the way that legit companies collect!

Fighr back ! This is a scam that is terrorizing  uncountable numbers oy elderly like myself. Call them back and take up their time with frivilous bs, and that will give them less time to prey on the innocent.do not threaten them , just take it up there time by asking about the weather , if they have plans for the weekend , do they enjoy fishing ..... We all know its a scam out of baytown , texas. Call the law enforcement their and report these people. I have and the police response was there were no complaints. Help me, help us....  And in the mean time call the harrassers and waste there time.

Same guy calling me too.  I am in the midst of a bankruptcy and just happened to be in my attorney's office the last time he called.  I just handed the phone to her. He quit calling for a couple of weeks but now he is right back. I have blocked his number from all of my phones.

Received a call from a guy named Jim Jones saying that I received a loan that I didn't pay back and that a lawyer is filing a suit against me.

I'm having the same problem ! I got the same phone call. the number showing on my cell phone 281-385-8228 ! I live alone and this man call's and tells me that he is going to call my court house. well ,If he could speak ENGLISH ! And only call's when I'm at work,  leaves a voicemail. I'm ready to tell him a few choice words. How do they get your cell phone numbers? I'm on a donot call list .

this number is claiming you  apply for a loan saying u have good credit, and u are being order to paid the money they lend you plus addition charges

get my attorney... US law firm etc. Going to put me in jail. this Indian guy calls all the time and tries to use names like Jerry Petterson to insist that I owe money. He is very hard to understand and quite persistent. I never answer the call but he fills my voicemail.

One of the most common collection scams is for the creditor to actually tell you that they are going to take you to court or have you arrested if you do not make a payment. A creditor can call you and ask for payment, but under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act a creditor is not allowed to threaten to take you to court, to sue you, or have you arrested. If someone does use this scare tactic refuse to deal with them. Let them know that you know what the laws are.

Calling this one now to add to my list to annoy and spread to others to annoy.

The same man called my husband on the 9th of Sept, He claimed the same thing, we had accepted a payday loan from US Cash ADvance. Of course we had never heard of this company so my husband told him so. He left several more messages at our home. Finally on the 14th I answered the phone to his call. By the way this on claims to be Dwayne Johnson, he quickly tells me to pay up or a warrant will be issued for my husbands arrest. I quickly tell him to bring it on that we have nothing to hide and that we will be happy to let the legal system handle it. I let him know that I can proof that I have not received any money, I also asked him if he understood English he said yes, I said good. I then told him that I had 2 phone numbers on him and that I would file harrasment charges on him again if he called. So far he has not called my husbands cell nor has he called our home. This is scam.  They have been calling me for months on my cell and at work.  They are trying to scare you with legal action to get money from you, but the legal action they claim is illegal and will not happen.  The sheriff is not going to show up at your home or work to arrest you.  No law enforcement is going to get involved in any debt collecting.  I just tell them they need to send me proof and they eventually hang up on me!  haha, don't give them any information!!

They have been calling saying they have my ss# and they are filing charges and a deputy will be at my door. They used to call from a Washington DC number now they say they are from the us law division. Indian accent and we have asked them to fax or email us a copy of this supposed debt or to our lawyer yet they never can do this and they start getting upset and saying we owe this and if we don't pay they will arrest me. HUGE SCAM!!!!!

I have been getting calls fron someone named Jimmy Johnson, or Ken Anderson, Mr. Smith, Eric jorganson. All acussing me of something fraudulant. The number is 281-385-8228. Telling me I have 24 hours to call back or charges will be brought against me. This hase been going on for a month now. Can we get this harrassment stopped somehow.

I am from Phoenix, az and i keep getting this number that calls me. i dont answer and every time there is a voicemail stating that there is a legal application regarding my "social number" is what he says and that i need to have my lawyer call or me call to get this straightened out. ive gotten calls like this from other numbers in other states, all sounding like its the same person.

I'm so tired of the harrassing phone calls fromthis number i dont know what to do.
I have called every government agency i could, ss, and the credit bureau agencies.

These people change there name, company name and there is a different phone number every time they call. But the same indian accent

I have even told them that i was going to blow up the building that they where in.
They will not give there address or there lawyers information.
I have had my lawyer talk to them and he even said its a scam, and that they will not release there bar # thats how you can tell its a scam.

I just want the calls to stop seriously. I dont owe any money for any kind of pay day loan at all.

They guy that called me today called me a bi*** because i told him to take me off of his call list, and when i asked for his address so that i can send a letter he stated was i coming to have sex with him. At that point i hung up.

I want this man name john hung to stop calling me! its SCAM!!!!.He has the last 4 digits of my SSN# and says i owe money.
