calls my cell phone number multiple times during the day.

Got 2 calls in 2 days.  Answered second call and it says "please hold I have an incoming call for you".  An Indian voice picked up and said hello.  Hung up.  It's listed as Cameron Cooper, a valve company in Texas.  Not sure what's going on.

This number called me for no reason.  I called it back, it's Washington Mutual Card Services, I DONT EVEN HAVE A CREDIT CARD.

I have a WaMu credit card and received several automated calls from (281)504-0039. Finally decided to call WaMu at the number listed on my credit card (not the number they give in the call). They said they wanted to update my address and everything else is fine with my account.

wamu is calling me too because my mail got returned.  already don't them it was a mixup but guess that wasn't good enough.  my account is in good standing otherwise.

If you answer it is a busy signal. They don't leave a message if you don't answer. Whats the point then you ask? Just to harrass?

Sure I believe you. Im sorry I didn't mean to upset you or anyone else. I just meant USUALLY that was the case-of course there's an exception to every rule-and also-it's just my opinion-Anyway-good luck with getting them to stop calling, and again, forgive me for upsetting you.

Washington Mutual Collections

This is another number that I get tons of calls from.  I don't understand why I'm getting them.  If it is in fact WaMu, weren't they bought out by somebody else?  So how do we know this is not a scam?  And, they NEVER leave a message and when I answer, nobody is there.  It's very annoying as I don't have a home phone so they are calling my cell and eating my minutes.  Between the 3 numbers that are calling me, I get over 40 calls a DAY, starting at 6 am going up to 9:30 at night!!

The 281-504-0039 is WAMU Cards i got through on a call back to them and automated recording said contact them about the account.  so my guess is to call WAMU and tell them to stop calling you fro the 281 #

It is Washington Mutual. Showed up on caller ID as Cameron Cooper. Washington Mutual uses a device that can display any number and name on your caller id to fool you into answering the phone.

I  answered two of these calls, Both were from a guy with an accent that stated a technical error prevented my payment from posting and he asked for my checking account info. The first time I foolishly gave it out. Five days later (tonight) the payment is not showing on my account and I get another call from a guy with the same accent and story about technical problems and no record of the previous call or payment, and again asking for my banking info and authorization. This time I refused to give it out, stating I will make whatever payment is needed the way I always have. My account has been in good standing for the past 14 months,

Well G13169, I am getting these calls at all time of the day also along with different phone numbers and I KNOW for sure that I am not behind on anything.

When u answer, it says,"I have a call coming through" and then it connects you to a rep. I'm sure it's a collection agency.Listen. believe me I hate getting these calls, but if we were all truthful, the fact usually is that you are behind on some bill or other and it has been turned over to one of these annoying "collection agencies"(and I use the term loosely-they should be called harrassment agencies). The best way to avoid these calls is to get your bills in order the best way you can, even if it means getting financial help. And I am including myself in this advice more than anyone. I probably get more calls than EVERYONE! So I'm not trying to be hateful or rude or anything of the sort.Please forgive me if I step on any toes, I don't mean to cause trouble! THANKS!

Keeps calling my home.  The phone number shows on the caller ID, but the name is 'unknown'.  No messages have been left and I was not here to answer the calls. I read the other posts and while I do have a washington mutual credit card, I am not behind in payments so it cant be the collection department calling me.  While I was curious as to 'who' it was, I am not curious enough to call them back. :)  If it is that important, they will leave a message.

On my caller ID it said "Cameron Cooper" with the phone # of (281)504-0039

It IS Washington Mutual.  This time is was "Brian" with an Indian accent.  Come on.......GET AMERICAN PEOPLE FOR AMERICAN NAMES or flat out say, "My name is  Harshvardhan."  That would be more believable.

Call the # on your account and they will stop for 30 days.

A computer is calling you and it can do it all day until 9pm your time.

call my cell, then my work line when i did not answer. Also got calls from 623 area code. Pls help me stop this.  When I answer, I get no reponse

If Washington Mutual is the provider of Sears' credit cards, it's not illegal for the call to route from Sears and be answered by WAMU.

Caller id shows Sears, but when you call it answers Washington Mutual.
This is illegal per the FDCPA.

They called again. I'm really thinking about changing my number. So I called these people back at the number on the caller id and it's busy. I don't get it!

I'm getting calls from 303 and 623 numbers on my cell and, a minute later, on my home line.  Now today it's a 281 number. They don't answer when I pick up and they don't leave a message when I don't. What's going on?!?!?

First time getting this number although, the other night I received a call from a 623 area code and The person on the line (in hindsight) seemed like he was trying to keep me on the line. Maybe like he was phishing for my number. I hung up.

Now I am getting calls from this 281 number in addition to 303 and 623 numbers.

Any idea on how to get it to stop without changing numbers?
