I keep getting calls from this number to my cell phone; it's a recording and I hang up on it but still have to pay for a minute of my cell phone time.

it shows up general w and then hangs up on answering machine

left no message.

if they are calling about extending my auto warranty, good luck to them.

i sincerely doubt that Ford will warranty a 15-year-old car whose speedometer has flipped twice and which is on its third engine.

i got this call today @ noon.  it said "general w" wasn't home, didn't take a message and didn't leave one.  

as far as "satellite tv" goes i think they have been ruled against for calling people on the dnc list here is the link

i'm glad i found this site.  since i can't block calls on my cellphone, and putting my number on a no-call list obviously does no good at all, i just don't answer calls if i don't recognize the number.  that's what voicemail is for.  no message left from this call received at 2pm dst 7/16/08 ..

when i get calls that show numbers that i find on sites such as these, i don't delete them.  i save them as 'scam call 1', etc., so i know not to waste time on that call; i just punch 'ignore'.  but - i think i need a new system:  i'm already up to 'scam call 23' ... and i'm running out of 'address book' space in my cellphone for numbers i really want to know.

I also received a call from this number.  I did not answer as most people who call me with legitimate business are programmed into my phone or I recognize the area code/number.

Hahahah, wwk ^ I just looked at my caller ID to check the time, I got the same call at 11 am yesterday. Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer either. The ID said "Texas Call"...I know some people in Texas, so I searched the number and found this site.
Most the time when I answer those calls some recording of "This is *so-n-so* with satilite tv...."
Sometimes I hand the phone over to my 4 yr old, after they talk with him a while, they stop calling.

The call from 281-520-3779 came in at around 11 a.m. today.  Since I didn't recognize the area code, I didn't pick up.  They didn't leave a message and I made a note to check to see whose number it was.  I'm glad I found this site.

Missed call on my Wife's cellphone.  Don't know anyone in the registered area.  Glad we got her voicemail turned off.

Something to remember: "Due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider" (from whitepages.com).  In other words, "you can take your number with you when you switch providers".

I was on the phone with my mother and told her I would call her back as I had another call--I have been waiting for several important calls, otherwise I don't use call waiting, also I get charged by my phone company for the minutes used to check my voice mail.  It was 281 520 3779.  Irritating.

have asked them to STOP calling me, to remove my phone number 3 times now and i STILL keep getting calls from them at my office at least once a day.

I recd call didn't answer. left no message. I put them on junk blocker which hangs up on them after one ring.

I don't think I should get this phone call. It definitely has nothing to do with our household. No one likes this type of evasion. A call from 562-289-8135 & 909-842-8149 just a few minutes before that with the same lame recordings / excuses.
