This is likely the TEXAS DPS (Department of Public Safety) soliciting office looking for donations for their charity. They dont get very much of the money collected because the professional solicitors get their huge commission.

The should change their caller-id as I thought one of my kids had been in an accident somewhere, called them back w/o any answer for 30 minutes till I googled the number, idiots!

5/18/09 Went to answer but caller already hung up / my answering machine started answering / says TX HWY PATROL --- sorry ..I do not do any charitable donations or any business over the phone....

Received call from Hwy Patrol (281)537-2249 on 5/13 who also hung up on machine.
