Told this guy if he did not stop calling, I would go down there and shove a pole up his rear until he felt it in his mouth... Never heard from him again

they call my cell phone every day, at least once, sometimes 2-3 times. I have called them back and they tell me they are looking for someone I have never heard of. when I tell them this, they assure me they will remove the number from their system. I have even been transferred to a "supervisor" who also assures me my number will be remove. However, they keep calling. And they always leave a message, so they are using my minutes!!! Why can't they be stopped????

This number calls, and even if I answer the phone, it is a recording that says they can't leave information on answering machine but it concerns a matter that requires immediate attention and I need to call 281-647-4152 to take care of it. I have no idea what it is about, but I don't owe anyone.I don't return the calls because I'm thinking it might be some kind of scam.

This company will not talk to anyone, just call a recording. I called once and asked who they were. They asked who I was. I told them my name and then she asked if my husband was home. He works. They will not talk to me, nor will they ever reach my husband. Who are these people. My beacon score in 814 (credit rating) I pay all my bills. My husband was recently in the hospital and this may be a hospital, but they are making me sick. All of our bills are paid, and St Catherine's hospital in Katy is a notorious fraud. They once were going to send me to collections and found out that, "oops" they actually had "extra" money in an account and so "nevermind". When I asked them how much "extra", he only said "plenty to cover this bill ma'am". They are idiots down there. Go to any other hospital unless you are unconcious.

Really nasty people. Just don't answer.

Don't tell them your name.

Talk in a funny accent, tell them the call is being recorded, start making animal noises.

They violate the Fair Debt Collection Act (see above) consistently but have not yet been prosecuted yet. Probably since the people harassed by debt collectors can't afford attorneys. Funny.

These people must be so low brow they're not even checking the credit bureaus. When someone dies it usually only takes 2-3 months before their SSN is marked as deceased with all three major bureaus (Equifax, TRW & Experian).

I suppose you could fax them a copy of the death certificate or the obituary. Though that seems a bit outlandish.

They are breaking the law though. (In regards to the Fair Debt Collection Act)

The Act bars a debt collector from engaging in conduct that harasses, oppresses, or abuses the debtor. Examples include profane language and repeated telephone calls. The Act expressly forbids calls to a debtor between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am (without the debtor's consent), calls to a debtor when the debt collector knows the debtor has an attorney and calls to a debtor's workplace if the debt collector reasonably should know that the debtor's employer forbids such calls. A debt collector must cease all communications after a debtor informs the debt collector in writing that the debtor refuses to pay or wants the debt collector to stop calling.

Good luck!

These guys are really bad news!!! They call from different numbers but mostly this one. They use bully tactics and are very rude!!! Now when they call I tell them that the call is being recorded and they say I am not authorizing you to record my call then they will hang up.

These people keep calling a company cell that use to belong to a employee that is now deceased. I have tried to explain this to them, but instead they will ask for another phone # for this poor guy. I guess they do not understand what deceased means?? I've told them to remove this phone # from their call list that this man died in 2006 & please let him rest in peace.
