Called too early within the last couple of weeks, then again, twice around 12:45am PST, this morning.  Didn't answer the 1st time, but did the 2nd time.  No one there.

miised call on my cell and when calling back statint that phone has been disconectted ..area code is 281 in texas some were...

I am worried because I was crank calling my old boss at Hartford and sending him gifts.

I couldn't believe that I wasn't alone on this..I received an email from a friend on how people can look up your phone no and find out "exactly where you live", which brought me to look up this damn no. that keeps calling me towards late afternoon pacific time, then hangs up!!!..Twice now that this happened...someone needs to look more in depth on what this means..

This number is owned by Global Crossing. It was, at one time, reserved  
for use by Easytel, but we never took control of it. Global Crossing  
has simply left our name on there as reserved.

It is not a working number at all, however. Whoever is placing the  
calls is using a spoofed/fake caller ID number to avoid detection, for  
unknown purposes.

The first night it called twice around 3am then again around 3:30. Now last night around 3:45am.  
Houston Mayor says to call the police? And do what?  

It seems really odd to me, kind of eerie. My husband thinks its a satellite. Don't know. Don't like it.

I got the same type of call from 281 698 6587- last night at 2:13  Very upset.  when I called back it said it was disconnected.  Information told me it is in Texas and that all she could see.

Calls at all times of the night.  Already a member of the Do Not Call list and filed a complaint after they called at 2:32 am in the morning.  Last night called at 11:37 pm and went to file another complaint.  Do Not Call List said they have a grace period of 30 days even though I am already registered.  Where is the justice in that.  My family gets woken whenever GC-EASYTEL HU wants to and there is no one to help protect a service that I pay for.

No one talks when they call not even an automated anything, just calling to disrupt.  When I call back number is busy.  This company harrasses.

I get calls day & night from this number.  If I answer there is no one there.  When I call back I get a recorded message this number has been disonnected.

I get a call from this number about once a week. who is calling me and why ?

Always get this call, how do I block this number?  this is so annoying problem

I got a call this morning at 2:30 AM - this is the 3rd time I being awaken
by this rude person/company - I am registered at "do not call registry", this
complaints will go to the Attorney General. I reported this coward company
3 times! Please go to > Do Not Call Registry, register, and file a complaint.
This is the only way we can beat this sickos.

I have received several calls from 281-698-6587 and each time I get a hang-up when I qnswer thephone. Who is this and how I can I stop it?

I have received 6 calls from this number in 3 days. Some at 4am. When I answer, there is nobody there. I want this to stop.

I have had phone calls from this number at least 4 times. Yhe last one was Feb. 8 at 12:35 A.M. PST. The one before that was Feb. 4 at 2:50 AM PST. I have family on the east coast so every time I hear the phone in the middle of the night I panic. What can be done about this company??? HELP!

I have been recieving these stupid annoying calls and when I say hello there is noone there.  I have a newborn and it disturbs him.  So I just called the phone company and got caller block and blocked the number.  So lets see if these a...holes can call again.

I have been receiving a calll at 2AM from 281-698-6587. Nobody is answering the call and when I call back the operator says "the number is disconnected". How can a disconnected phone number calls me?

Always calls very late at night between 12AM and 5AM.  There is never any one at the other end.  When called back, message says the number has been disconnected.  Today is only Feb 08, 2008 and I have already had four calls this month.  This is someone who needs special training on how to use a phone, in an area with no cameras or witness.

Got this call last night at 11:54 p.m.  Nice wake up call!  Needless to say, my husband and I were pissed off!  Who is this??

Let my add my experience to this list. Got a call at 2AM last night, Feb 6, at my home number. Of course I was in bed and asleep. I answered the call after about two rings and there was an instant hang up. The caller ID says GC-Easytel.

I got another call similar to this about a month ago from a different number, but otherwise, the same, middle of the night, hung up when I answered. Sure wish we could all tap into someone who could tell us what is up with this. Very mysterious.

This company/person has been calling and when I answer the phone either in early a.m. or anytime during the day or night - they hang up.  How can they get away doing this?

How can someone get away with calling you anytime during the day and hanging up and you!?

i've had 3 calls from this number, last one@6:05pm on 1/15/08.  i turned the ringer off because i didn't recognize the number.  why would they be harassing us??  if there was a sales pitch message or something i'd understand.  but this seems to be harassment just for someones kicks.

I received a call from 281-698-6587 at 2:54 on 1/23/08.  That has to be some way to block it.
