It is The Affiliated Group, a Professional Debt Recovery Company.  Recovery for Target debit and credit cards is one of their clients.

It's the Houston chronicle cold calling. They call so many times hoping you will call back and when you do (like I just did) they say "oh I'm so sorry we are having problems with our automated system calling people and not turning on when you say hello" and I said yeah right and she smoothly goes in to a sales pitch on getting me to sign up for the paper! So annoying!! I told her not to ever call again. I would think 5 times in one day is enough.

Thanked me for existing Sunday only subscription then tried to expand it.

I need to know who keeps calling and does not  leave messages?

I have just received the second call today from this number. I blocked the number months ago yet the stupid idiots keep calling every day.  It's a pity they don't have anything better to do.

F this is you calling at least have the humanity to speak when you call. Don't just leave deap air space and then hang up. You either wanted to talk to me when you dialed my number or you were looking for the former owners of this number and if you would talk I could tell you it was a wrong number so you could stop calling it. Common human deciency folks!

hung up as soon as I answered. when I called back, it says "thank you for calling Utility Services. We provide all utility services for your home or apartment - energy, cable tv..." and then it cuts off and rings like it's transfering you, but just repeats the same bit and repeatedly does the stop, ring, message... But never connects to anyone.

ANY call "could be" ANYBODY on the face of the earth. What a stupid assumption. Just because you're paranoid is no reason for you to try intimidating us. I wish we could evade, evade, evade postings like yours, "always." Especially since (Apparently, unlike you.) I never have a warrant to worry about, in the first place. Reason is simple. It is because I obey the law . . . which means, no tickets to pay (ever), and no other reason for warranters to come looking for me.

Guys, you are not alone, I am also victim of this fake call. This the 3rd time when I am getting call from these b*****ds. Once I will find them, I swear I will kill them.

I got a call from this # too. That is why I do my search online and see your comments here... I have a blank message. That's nut!

They have called ONCE again to my office phone at Universal American. 5:33pm No one is there when I answer.

Get lots of these calls no one is ever there. Thanks to the one who said who it was I called and got all our numbers put on Donot call list we are a construction company. I hate running to phone and no one is there.

This number is currently being used by sales for Houston Chronicle or a service that is representing them.

I called them back and told them I wasn't interested in subscribing to their Socialist Propaganda.

They called my office again at 642pm and 848pm on 3/13/13

No messages.

They have called my office phone twice now. Friday 3/8 and today 3/12. I answer and no one is there. They hang up.

I have gotten this for a few days.  I called back tonight and it is the Chronicle.  I took a subscription last week for the Sunday paper.  They were calling to tell me thank you and to thank me they will be delivering Wed through Saturday free of charge.  Cool

I have been getting this call too they call let it ring twice then hang up even when I answer.  I called it back and they say its  the Houston Chronical. I chose to be removed from their calling list and haven't received anymore calls.

They call and don't leave messages and when I pick up - they hang up. Annoying - like mosquitos. I will swat them by ignoring them and/or by blocking their number. (If Houston Chronicle - they wouldn't get my business anyway.)

Call from this number at least 2 times a day. Didn't answer call, but finally called back. It's the Houston Chronicle newspaper. The solicitor only answers hello, but if you ask who they're with they'll tell you. Told her I already subscribe and was put on their do not call list. Said my number would be removed in 48 hours.

It is the Houston Chronicle.

These people call my house 2 or 3 times daily and keep me awake. I work all night and I work hard so i need to sleep during the day and can't. Why? Because my phone rings off the hook from these people relentless calls. It is almost the same as stalking in my eyes. This is why we have a wait time on firearm purchases in this country because of crap like this going on all damn day. Whoever this is please do something about these people.
