Caller ID said ALLSTATES MOD. Did not pickup. Checked the number here and since we do not have a mortgage I called them back. When they answered, they knew my name. They were trying to sell magazine subscriptions. Pretty flaky business trying to sell mortgage modification and magazines both. Smells like a SCAM.

i think if you are going to keep putting your own post you should make the name more real Mr Scam artist sir. Shame on you for choosing to be a thief when God created you in his own perfect image, to make your own decisions with your life, and you chose to ruin the lives of others for your own happiness
cb 2014-02-03 20:20:30 Unknown
yes I spoke to them and they were not comfortable with answering questions. Instead the lady accused me of trying to get her to say something inn accurate. The guy told me they been in business for 16 years. She kept trying to talk over me when I would ask questions, cause she was nervous. You can tell all the good post/testimonies on here are from them directly and they are scam artist! Stay away stay away! they will end up cleaning out your bank account. People need to go get a real job and stop stealing from hard working families and taking out of their kids' mouths and futures. Its a shame. Obviously if someone is in foreclosure they are already struggling and yet this is their number one target- geez! God doesn't sleep though. If you gave them any of your information, be careful what mail you respond to and where you send your payments for your mortgage. Before I realized this was not legit, I gave them our address and name of our mortgage company.

my mother and father have fallen on hard times, and were needing modification for their home from chase mortgage company who have denied both of their requests for modifications. why do people take advantage of people who are older, trusting , and in definite need of assistance. I was so angry when I looked up allstate and found they have no web site nor home office, and that the money they sent went to a place called golf state mortgage. this is such a sad deal. to watch innocent people be taken advantage of is heart breaking. watch out for yourself and your family when dealing with these scum......

Got a call from 312-340-5564 ... caller id said SERV DEPARTMENT
Woman said she was from Allstates Modification... started her spiel.. asked her to answer a couple questions when she started asking me questions... I asked for her to spell out the company she was from.. asked if there was a web site? she gave me : Allstatesinfo@Allstatesmod.com... this didn't go through googled allstates modification and found this site listed 2nd after the Better Business Bureau (listed 1st) said that it was not a credited business... I asked her to give me a phone number that I could call back after I checked out the company... and she gave me 281-763-0426...
So in closing... I'd like to warn you that they use other numbers as well!!!

I've put them off after 2 calls Friday. They'll call me back Monday. So I did the reverse phone lookup. US Search has still has not found their information!
I was first suspicious when they wouldn't take payment after the deal was done! Then called me stupid for not jumping at their offer.

Just paid the 125 for processing. I spoke with Kevin, and yes they are very demanding and cunning.
But my rate know is 8.2 so I desperately need refianancing or modifying. I'm going to pray about and hopeful God will point me in the right direction.

Maybe a AAA+ from you but with the Better Business Bureau they have a C. In 3 years they have had 39 complaints filed against them with 17 within the last 12 months
Nancy 2013-01-04 15:19:58 Unknown
$99??? They charged us $600 and then did nothing. My husband got ours done by working with the lender! This is a bad company. You can file complaints with BBB and your state Attorney General's Office.
Nancy 2013-01-04 15:17:03 Unknown
Stay away from Allstates Modification! They charge you but don't do anything to help!

This is a false statement. I work at Allstates and have saved many homes and it gives me great pleaure to do so. Now, do not get me wrong. Not all people at my company may have the same feelings or desire to do so. But just like you going to mcdonalds, you may get a cashier that is friendly or one that is moody, it is the same at any business. I myself am not perfect but I do kow that we do get results. Yes mods are free, but you are paying for us as a service to assist you in the process. We put together a business pkg that shows the lender that it would benefit them the give a mod ...and FYI...the banks could care less if they take your home or not. If they cared none of you would need the mopdification because you would be in one already through your lender. Also remember that nothing in life is garaunteed but we go by the gov and bank guidelines to qualify someone firstthen when you do, an ENROLLMENT councelor such as TOM enrolls you and you get assigned a modifier here like myself who restructures your financial info to meet the gov and bank guidelines. we also help make sure your paperwork is complete and our process is faster and we are the mortgage experts so the banks respect us more than the homeowner. There are scams out there and YES you should be careful but keep an open mind and figure out what your priority is to make rational decisions.

FYI people, TOm wallace is just in the enrollement department. I thought he was going to be my caseworker when I signed up because he said he was but I was assigned to a loan modifier. The modifier is the one that does the paperwork and "negotiations". I did recieve a modification and even though it wasn't lowered to what tom promised it did save me from foreclosure and lower my payment some. The $525 total fee was worth me saving my home..when I owed over $5,789 in arearages
The Owl 2012-08-29 20:22:56 Unknown
You can do it for free with your lender but it is public knowledge that most ge turned don because they do not know what the bank looks for or knows the process. Findong a good company is hard but I myself tried on my own 3 times and was denied and finally I called Allstates and had a Jessica Diedrick assigned to my case and was approved. It did take around 3-4 months but I got the help I needed

I GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER TODAY - SOUNDS GOOD BUT IS THIS A SCAM? HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY SIGNED UP AND BEEN HELPED? IF NOT, THEN I DON'T WANT TO SPEND MY 125.00 - I CAN SEND THIS ON MY LATE NOTE - LET ME KNOW... A GWEN CALLED ME - WOULDN'T GIVE ME HER LAST NAME...
M. Iglesias 2012-08-17 23:03:00 Unknown
Unsure if they will be able to help. Will get call back tomorrow but after these posts, unsure if I should answer.
Travis 2012-07-07 00:27:45 Unknown
This company calls you and asks you a series of questions to see whether or not you ?Qualify? and if you ?Qualify? then you pay $125.00 then you get another call from a ?Specialist? and he goes through the same process and if you ?Qualify? you pay another $275.00. Long story short these people have no idea what they are talking about, they prepare the first set of documents for you then you have to do EVERYTHING! In my case I did not qualify with the bank so I am out $400.00 dollars and I was told by this fly-by-night company that I had a 95% chance of getting approved when the bank told me from the get go that I had a slim chance. I called Allstate and they told me that these were ?Scare Tactics? I wish that were true but I talked to the bank today and they gave me the whole detailed process of getting a modfication and I would have to become 90 days late on my payments and destroy my credit to complete the process. I am not willing to do this to get my interest dowm .6% and extend my loan to 40 years and I would have never given this company a penny had they told me about this, truth be known the employees working here probibly don't know themselves.

Just got a call from tom myself and he gave me same run around and when I pulled allstate modifacations up on the computer and seen all the post about him and I told him that all he was going to do is collect the 125 and do nothing he hung up on me. BIG BIG BIG SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
Barbie 2012-06-07 16:04:24 Unknown
I also received a call from Tom Wallace and it sounded really good until it came to the $125 that he needed the same day and then the $300 dollars could be paid in installements. I became leary that it may be a scam at that point. I looked on the BBB and this company is not even registered and it claims to be offer through President Obama. Strange huh!
Deborah Gall Robinson 2012-06-06 22:23:02 Unknown
Okay Roger then why would they just call up and immediately ask for money without any paper work or any proof whatsoever. I am supposed to just give them 125.00 just because she says so on the phone? Sure if they can really help me give me something for proof first-then I will give them more if necessary to get my mortgage and interest payments lowered. So how do I go about this Roger?
