Well these post seem to be a little out dated ... however, the number my be different but the NAME IS the Same!! DALE CARTER. Most of you all stories sound VERY familiar. Seems like hes not changed his tactics too much. I received a call starting that the attorneys that were going to prosecute me were in the middle of investigating. I could pay the 520.00 dollars and avoid that ... but they were willing to make a deal with me if I would pay it right away they would take 250.00 and that would clear everything up. However, If I were to wait then I would have to pay about 2,000.00 for the full amount then all the legal fees and so and and so forth. I said I had already paid this off about 6 months ago. They left me a fax number to call and send in my info. My wife tried half the day before I was able to get a hold of Dale Carter for them to turn on there fax machine. He said he would call me back after he received the info BUT that was only for ONE of my bad check for a payday loan they had another one. Sounds really fishy when they can determine this BEFORE they even receive your info huh? So, he never calls me back and then the next day I get a call from a lady saying that I had 72 hours to clear this up or she is going to serve me papers and I had to have two forms of id when she did because she was bringing a uniform officer... HOWEVER, I could call them back  (at the same number I had been calling and talking to Dale Carter). I then called him back and when I started pressing him for information he became very sort and didn't want to answer my questions. He did start that the attorneys were Goldburge, Keller and Brown and the attorney that was prosecuting me was Mr Ryanheart. When I asked for his number he said he didn't have it. He then said he had another call and he had to go but needed to know what my intentions are and what I was going to do about all of this..... I said NOTHING, I will not be doing anything about this. He then said they were going to move ahead and prosecute me. I lol and said.. I highly doubt that as he hung up on me. A week later they are back to calling me.. with I have 72 hours to contact them. It was another lady saying her Name is Erica Mora but when you call back the number she calls from the recording says its the desk of Jasmine. That number is 469-270-7159 (TX)  Erica Mora (but the answering machine says Desk of Jasmine) Landline 360 Network Carrier Allen Texas. The other numbers were 281-245-0792  .... Investigator Fredric Brown  (Alvin Texas) and 866-429-1352 (Dale Carter)

lol wow I just got that call Just like you said if they want to serve you they know where you live and the lady was mumbling blah blah on behalf of the county ...

Threatning phone calls... from Los Angeles County and this is a Texas number...

Consumer debts in America, including payday loans, are a *CIVIL* matter, not criminal! The agents' horrid threats are empty and their conduct is illegal. They are not "investigators" or any kind of law enforcement, just dirty debt collectors. As early as possible it's critical to determine if your collector is domestic or yet another South Asian faker. The former you can sue into submission; the latter tend to be out of reach.

unsure whom these folks are left claim number and that cole maxwell was summons processor of some sort and they needed cb asap to verify address to have papers served.  with having family through out law  enforcement papers are usually mailed? ironically before this call yesterday   back on 11/5 i recieved call from special investigator Justan Hacman and he left 866918.2554 # and that there was going to be letigation and blah, blah , blah  regarding a loan. which i just recived the following from the actual loan folks.    Is this a scam.  I have reported this to the ftc  see below from this lender/loan group   utalize the info as for contacts for yourself to add alert on your credit reports.  Take care

Yea I got a Call from these fools today too & also my poor Gmom bc I used her as a reference for a payday loan way back when. Dale Carter tried to tell me I had a summons & BLAH BLAH BLAH.... so I told him to call my lawyer to get me the summons he said IM not going to talk to your lawyer we are just going to get you into court so I said ok & goodbye & hung up. Now this is not the first time that they or someone has tried this bull about a settled payday loan. I dont know these ppl get our info but they are not legit i assure you. DO NOT GIVE THESE FOOLS MONEY!!!! PLEASE!!

investigator with incorrect info and asking about a 3 to 5yr old payday loan, which I didn't do, and said that my job would be held responsible if I don't want to settle the matter...

Someone named Jennifer Allen left a voicemail on my work phone, " Hi Ell ________, I'm calling on behalf on Harris County for a court summons, please contact the complainant with a valid address so you can be served papers.  Your case # is SA XXXX, good luck."

Don't fall for it SCAM - if a county wants to serve you papers, they have access to that info, and you would not be encouraged to contact the plaintiff.

I rec a call on yesterday about me oweing a debt to a payday loan (My Cash Now). He stated his name was Eliot Davis. He stated i had 24 hrs to pay back 975.00 or they would issue a warrant for arrest, with 2 felony warrents. I told him i would call him back tomorrow and he gave me his number and ext #14....what business has an ext #14 (2 digits number). This is a scam an i will be filing a police report. I also call My Cash Now, the rep stated that their phones are blowing up with calls of this type. It was a scam and i needed to file a police report. they have no file of such in my name.

I got more than a few calls from this number  making threats to me about me getting arrested and summons if I don't pay a debt I supposedly owe. They only e-mailed me what I should pay to them. They only want payments with credit cards. All the numbers they are calling from are not legit. What should I do and who can I contact

Dale Carter called looking for my ex. Refused to identify himself or say why he's trying to contact me. He started cussing and got rude.

Received a call from these idiots today. They claimed to be a process server. When I explained I work for the Federal Gov and was recording their call and since they could not tell me why they were calling instead of personally delivering the document, nor could they explain what or who it was they were working for, they finally hung up. These people move around and use different phones and are very difficult to catch. They do get some poor fools to send them money.

Someone has been calling me several times a day from this number.  They finally left a message yesterday saying that they have a summons for me and that I need to call Montgomery Kane and Dale Carter to stop the proceedings.

Any caller who refuses to send proof of debt - not just a bill - and proof that they can collect said debt, is owed nothing - per the FDCPA.  Do NOT pay them!

I wouldn't pay it - sounds like a scam. I got the same sort of call and KNOW I paid and had proof. When I told them I had proof they said they would call me after lunch to give me a fax number where to send the info, I never heard back from them. If you have proof that you've paid tell them they can take you to court and you can fight it there...if it's legit you'll get info, if not they should leave you alone.  Also you may call your local news and see if they'll investigate. Who knows who else is getting scammed and actually paying!

i got a call yesterday from an investigator dall carter. he said i owe money from a loan i took out back in  2007. i do remember taking a loan out around that time period but im pretty positive its been paid in full. i asked him to send me copies of contracts or proof. the only thing he can send me is an email or fax just showing how much i would pay if i decided to pay the loan. i dont know what to do. he gave me 48 hours i have to get back to him tomorrow.
