I called and confronted the woman on the phone.. she claims that her phone is messed up and is sending the texts out. I loved how scared she got when I said i'd call the police on her.

Got the same call, but from 973-207-8291.  This is the second time it happened.  I called and the machine said "mailbox full".  needless to say, don't give any info out over the phone.  What idiots do this crap.  I feel bad for the people that fall for it.  Tell everyone you know to be careful.

I got the same exact text message! I googled the # and this is what I found...I feel like crank calling these scammers and putting in fake info to waste their time!

It was a text message stating the following:

customer issue, wachovia service, please call at 718 327 2234.

It also has a call back number:732 693 0001

When I called the 718 327 2234 a voice service identified as Wachovia and prompted me for the last 4 digits of my Social Security Number.  Of course I didn't enter it and hung up.  Then called the phone number from which I have received the text message.  A woman with an accent answered and when I asked who was this she immediatelly hung up.
