I was just texting with this guy, going by Joseph Linn at the same 702-622-5095 number. He wanted to do a paypal deal and offered $100 more if I would ship overseas. Something told me to search for his number, which led me to this page.

This guy is still at it and still using the name Joseph, should at least come up with a different name and number! He replied to an ad I had on craigslist. I let him know his father wouldn't be very proud of him!

I told the guy to call me cause I was suspicious after I got an email from "paypal" (but in actuality it was from a hoax domain "secureroot.com"). I barely understood his accent, and I'm supposed to be Chinese! He said he was gonna buy the PS3 for his wife stationed in Nigeria and that he couldn't pick it up cause he's deployed.

He's still using that line about father being in Ohio, him being deployed. But he now or also operates on this number: 14434703915. So keep your head up.

Yup.. Joseph is still at it.. Send me your paypal and I will wire the money to you.. I have done deals using paypal and usually works out well as the paypal account I use to recieve money is kept empty as well as the associated bank account so that way if they manage to get in to it there is not much to steal.. But anyrate, same story, want to buy for dad, am stationed overseas, etc, etc..

I cannot understand why Kijiji & Craigslist sellers don't put "CASH ONLY" in their ads? It's NOT eBay, you aren't suppose to take Paypal. These sites are for local sales. Myself, I'd put "Local, Cash, No texts, In person only!". 100% of the scammers vanish.

Similar experience of others. The name Joseph Lin replied to an ad on Craigslist and stated he was buying for dad in Ohio but was having someone else pick it up as he was deployed over seas. As soon as I replied CASH ONLY, he quit sending messages. Typical scam artist!

Yep got a text from this number yesterday about an ad I had placed on Craig's list wanted me to give them my PayPal info. Was shipping to Baltimore. Sorry there's a sucker born everyday but not me thankfully

This number replied via txt on Craigslist add. Second number that did this. Same as everyone else. I called these numbers and its a google account. First number that I called was nyc a women answered & hung up. I just called this number it asks u to say someones name then no answer but I was able to leave a message.

Me too. He tried to scam me through a fairly convincing Craigslist scam. Long distance, PayPal , buying for a father. Etc.
