Received several calls from an Middle Easterner on the other line when I answered. He kept trying to convince me to purchase a Baby Jesus Butt-Plug, said it was manufactured by the makers of the Jesus Jackhammer. I was astonished that someone would be trying to sell such products over the telephone. I asked to speak with his manager but had no luck. This company is horrible for representing such products.

I just spoke with a Rep yesterday and asked that my number be removed from their list... The guy went on about how he's trying to save money for me and that it's something I'm already paying for. I said I am not interested, but they're still calling me! I doubt they will stop. They've called me every day for the past month!

I called the number back and a recording picked up stating it was Texas Green Energy

I get this call a few times a week, randomly, and they are from big green texas. I have told them numerous times that I rent and to take my name and number off their list and months later, I still get calls! grrr.....

this number has called our number 3x in last week and no one says anything

I have been recieving these calls as well. How about a class action lawsuit for anoyance calls.

No answer I kept saying hello

I got a call tonight from this number.  When the lady explained that will remember that I got a letter in the mail in the last few months about the government program, I interrupted and said I don't remember that.  She then jumped to "who is your current energy provider?"  I did not answer but asked where I could get more information about this program and their company, like on the internet.  "The best way is just to answer our questions."  I asked to speak to her manager.  "They are all busy helping customers."  I asked for their call back number.  Was not given it.  I asked to be put on their do not call list. "I'll be happy to do that, but I need to get some information from you first."  I told her that the law obligates them to no longer call me since I requested it.  Amazing how pushy she was... must really get paid well -- bet they are hugely profitable in whatever overpriced service they offer.  I called back and got a message identifying themselves as Texas Green Energy Education.

Though I didn't get as many calls as reported by others, I will say the female sales person was persistent in her contact me.  The same pitch was offered to me regarding the Obama Administration and a "slush fund" (my words) of money that was not being tapped into by "eligible" US residents to upgrade their homes to be more energy efficient.  They want to set an appointment with their energy consultant for one hour to assess how much money I'll be entitled to under the administration's supposed fund.  When asked how the consultant would do this, she said she had no idea but that it was a skill the consultant possessed thru training.

The caller was polite and articulate.  I'm sure she's a nice person. But, I will never set an appointment with this firm or any other firm that promises me $4K to $6K in "free money."  If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

The guy said he was from "Green Texas Education." Said it was not a sales call, and said something about Obama administration established a program for which many homeowners qualified, however were not aware to receive anywhere from 9,000 to 14,000. Yeah?!?...His way of communicating and use of words just added to the suspicion. Explained I was not the person to make any decisions about the household, he offered to explain a little bit about the program, basically repeating the same thing. Asked him if there was a web site I could refer the head of house to. He said it was not up yet and hung up...

Call from Texas Green Energy Education, which I obtained only after repeated request for who needed this information. The young man was very inarticulate and stumbled over his words -- a lot -- while trying to make his presentation and get an appointment for someone to come to our home for "just one hour" to explain how we could save on our energy bills and get some of this money back.

I was only able to get him off the phone by insisting that I had to discuss it with my husband before I could schedule an appointment. Of course, the "closer" was, "Which day and time would be best for us to come out? Saturday?" Needless to say, there will no appointments made, but I wanted to know if there actually was a program that was refunding money for updating to energy-saving products before I just wrote him off.

Learned today that the calls are coming from Texas Green Energy Education.  Grasshopper.com hosts a messaging service for this company and I learned that Texas Green Energy was using my cell phone as a point of contact.  Below is the email I just sent to texasgreenenergyeducation.com

Gentlemen:

On November 11th 2011, I began receiving repeated telephone calls from 281-892-1147 to my cell phone (602-XXX-XXXX).  Over the course of the next two and a half weeks I estimate that I received over 3,000 telephone calls from this number, frequently topping 30 calls per hour, day and night.

When answered, the call immediately went to an automated answering service hosted by Grasshopper.com (http://grasshopper.com/).  I left numerous messages requesting that the calls cease and video recorded several of these requests, yet the calls persisted.  I filed police complaints with my local (Goodyear Arizona) and Houston police departments.  I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission as my cell phone number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.

I learned via internet research that other people have similarly received unsolicited calls from 281-892-1147 and I have spoken with several of them.  Today I spoke with Graham from Grasshopper Communications (1-800-820-8210, option 2) and learned that your business is responsible for these unwanted telephone calls.  According to Grasshopper, you placed my cell phone number as a contact point for your business.  I never have been a customer of your business and I do not know how you came to use my number.  Nevertheless, I must warn you that any future telephone communication that can be traced back to your company will be met with legal action.  Arizona law provides for a $3,000 penalty for each telephone call made after a reasonable attempt is made to notify the offender to cease and desist.  Please consider this such notification.  Furthermore, I shall be posting this response on consumer websites alerting others of your business practices.

Started receiving calls to my cell phone from this number 11 November.  Estimate 1000-1200 calls since then--30 calls/hour at times.  Have filed complaints w/Houston police, Do Not Call List, but calls keep coming.  Who is this?!!!

The guy said he was with biggreentexas.com . They want to give $9000-$14000 to Texas to make their homes more energy efficient.  REALLY????
