This number is clearly calling for a political cause. Sounded republican to me. He never said who he was calling for or from. He asked who i would vote for Governor in Indiana (responding in a short "if you say so" way when I said Jill Long Thompson). He then asked about the representative (Elrod or Mary Ann Sullivan). Then he asked if I could be persuaded to vote for Jon Elrod instead of Mary Ann Sullivan because she doesn't support a cap on property taxes.

It was obviously a paid call.

Why can't this number be stopped from harrassing people. The operator can not even call this number back.

I just got a call from a VERY RUDE operator.  He asked who I planned on voting for in the upcoming senate race.  I told him I was NOT voting for Ted Stevens and he cut me off and told me that many Alaskans feel he did not get a fair trial and that I need to vote for him, yadda, yadda, yadda.  So I cut him off and told him that I would never vote for Stevens and hung up on him.

I received a call from 281-915-0431 but as soon as I picked the phone up they hung up.  So annoying.

Called our house at 11:15 on Sunday morning.  I couldn't immediately find phone so didn't answer.  The person said hello several times after the answering machine message.  Background noise sounded suspiciously like telemarketing -- multiple voices etc.  My guess is it's election related.  Tried to ring them back and it didn't ring at all-- nothing-- just like the phone was dead. Reverse lookup directory said Fresno TX (near Houston).

!?*#?!@? Called 15 times to my home.  Listed as Rosharon, TX on My caller I'd.  Hope this helps someone else!

No message. Reverse directory shows Fresno, TX. Fresno is in the greater Houston area.

Yup, happened to me... I've set a trap for the next time they call...

Same story here. I have had like a dozen calls. I finally answer it while at work and told them to stop calling me today. They hung up before I could I finish my tirade.

received two calls from this number today within 20 mins of each other. did not pick up. texas area code but i have an illinois number.

recieved call 10/10 in the am - no message. Looked the # up on line, said it is a land line in Fresno, TX area??? I live in IN!!

Caller said he was calling for CA Senator Shelia Kuehl and asked me to vote no on a local Santa Monica proposition in the November 2008 election.  He went on about his reasons and asked if she could count on my vote.
