I, too, am getting these sales calls from many vendors and am tired of it.
I've been signed up to all the do not call lists, but that doesn't help.
I just bought a little "telezapper" thing, that's supposed to kill the ability
for the rotating canvassing machines to get a signal that says my phone
has been disconnected ... THAT SHOULD STOP 'EM!!!
At least I hope it helps. I hate that I have to pay for phone service for
TELEMARKETERS to harrass me! AND they fill up my answering
machine so that my legitimate calls never have space to leave me a
real message.
Am paying now, for a cell phone, so my friends CAN reach me. The
first 10 text messages I got were from 1) Michelle Obama wanting me to
vote for her husband (really, the first one!!), 2) donation requests, 3) carpet
cleaning, 4) investment requests, 5) political surveys, 6) credit card solicitations,
7)-10) and several who never leave a message so I don't know who they are.
The FCC should DO something with TEETH in it to stop these calls.
....there...that's MY 2 cents' worth!

I got this call at 11:54am, 11/16/2010. CID read Unknown Name and Displayed the Number. That's really all I know. Thanks to "Jay" I know a lot more. Jay I will notify No Not Call. I belong to both TEXAS and The NATIONAL Do Not Call. Normally I take care of these calls myself with a little program that allows me to block a unlimited number of local or national calls.

They are making claims that the government has $3700 for homeowners to save energy, blah, blah, blah, and I should press 1 to get a free energy audit. Guess what, robocall, I'm on the DoNotCall list and you are clearly marketing! I am reporting you. I called the number back, of course, the voicemailbox was full!
I Googled the number and I found a CareerBuilder job ad stating that they are the largest provider of radiant barrier in the country. The job offer is a sales job. It says no cost to the consumer and zero percent financing to the consumer. Contradiction! I hope unemployed people stay away from companies like this as they will be disappointed when months later they have made darn little in commissions.

Three times they have called, 11/10, 11/16, and 11/17. Once their number displayed with "unknown", then Private/Private each other time. They are being reported to the Texas Attorney General and the donotcall.gov websites. I told the person who pick up this last time what I intended to do and just where to go. It was the heat of the moment. I do not apologize.

This same number 281 940-9505 called me yesterday at 12:26pm & again today at 1:44pm. both times nobody spoke when i answered the phone & they simply hung up on me when i answered.

Thanks for the info Jay. We have two phone lines in our home. For the last 3 or 4 days both phone lines each day have received calls from this robo caller. Today, I stayed on the line and followed their directions by pressing 1. Kristen came on the line. She said they are not telemarketers and it is not against the law for them to call. I told her I was not arguing with her. I asked that she please remove both my phone #s from their robo calling. She said she would, but first she wanted to explain something to me. At this point Kristen started reading an infomercial to me. I yelled at Kristen to stop reading that garbbage to me and take my phone #s off their calling list. Kristen hung up on me. When I called the 281-940-9505 their voice message box was FULL. STUPID company that hired these robo callers. I would NEVER buy from them.
Very good website donotcall.gov. You can check to make sure that you are indeed on the do not call list. Then it is very simple to file a complaint. Thanks again Jay for the info.
