I received calls on two different phone numbers, my parents home number and my cell number. Same, "I have papers on my desk under case number ##### attached to your social security number, you have been notified." What can we do about these people?

281-962-4141: private investigator John Marshal has quite the intimidating voice (if you are still watching cartoons).  Ha, what a joke.  Please invent a service where you can put a fist though the phone line.  Scum bag... enough said.  Someone needs to get their hands on this piece of sh*# and knock some sense into him.

I received a call from John Marshall he had my social  security number and an old address and he said that there is a team of lawyers filing suite against me for a payday loan fraud transaction. he wanted me to settle the claim by the end of our phone call or else i was going to be prosecuted. he was very persistent and had quite a bit of info.
This guy is scaring the s___ out of people and he needs to be stopped!! He is very professional sounding be careful and good luck.  

Received a call this morning (at work)  from a lady Valerie Chambers Ext 116 - asking to see if I was at work because two police officers where attempting to served me with a court order.  The officers will come to your work later today, the court order is for an old debt I had with HSBC.   She was trying to avoid the embarrassment.  Of course, it caught me off guard.  I mentioned that I don't recall having an outstanding HSBC debt.  The last one I had was six years ago in which we settled.  I have a letter from HSBC stating that there is no outstanding debt and that the debt was paid in full.  After a few minutes, I then realized this was a collection call so I begin to ask who she was representing and she stated she could not disclose the name but that she was representing a group of attorneys.  I then asked to get a copy of the document she has stating that I owe this debt.  She could not fax or provide me with any details.  I then closed by stating that I will wait for the Police Officers to serve me with the Court Order documents and that I will also reach out to my attorney and provide him with the letter from HSBC.  To let her Attorneys know that my attorney will be in touch with them.  Her response was my conversation is being recorded and will proceed with your request.  I also mentioned that my phone at work is also being recorded and will also provide this information to my attorney.  These people are so low, I never thought this was a Collection Call, the lady sounded so professional and willing to help.  I am posting this because I almost believe their lies.  This lady was so good and creditable.

I have been receiving call from this same exact number 281 962 4140, Kurt Taylor is his name sayn I old a debt an he has my real social, how do they get our info like that. Scammers needs to be stop. I been getting calls all week

This is the third call I have received in a month where an African-American giving the name of Vivian Taylor, but refuses to give the name of her company or whom she represents. She has asked me for my full name and when I asked her who she wanted to speak with she asked me if I was Robert Edwards. I said I was and asked the caller what the purpose of her call was she then said she wanted to confirm I was the correct Robert Edwards, asking for my address and DOB. I stated I did not give that information out. She replied that she had legal papers of a complaint against me and that they would have a process server deliver them to me. I told her if that was true then she would already have the information she was seeking. She said I have to take care of this immediately and mentioned a fine. I cut her short and told her I did not feel she was legitimate and that she apparently had the wrong individual and not to call back. She said she would have the police respond to my residence if I didn't cooperate. I said ok and hung up on her.
The last calli got from this same woman was that she had legal papers on her desk and that she had the right Robert Edwards and said I had a case number of 82755, but again would not disclose what it concerned, but left a voice message that this matter had to be taken care of by 5pm tomorrow ( a Friday). She provided a name and phone number to call her back at 281-962-4140. I did not call back as they could not say what it involved and the call had all the makings of a scam.

Got a message from a "number not available" today 5/19/14
"Message is meant solely for XXX last name XXX. Valerie Chambers. Call me today regarding the documents I have on my desk attached to case file number is XXXXX. Attached to the last 4 digits of your social. I need to speak to you before the close of business tomorrow. At (281) 962-4140. You have been notified."

I called back and it said "please hold while the number you dialed is contacted" and it was picked up before ringing.  It was very hollow and hard to hear, with a lot of background noise.  He asked for my case number, dropped my call.  I called back and he said please hold then came back on and asked someone in the room for her extension.  

Giselle Johnson told me I have an unpaid credit card with "household" for $1500 but they will settle for $500 today.  Or they will be sending the police to serve me papers at work.  I asked how I knew this was legit and she said she has the last 4 of my social (which was accurate), my address (accurate) and my drivers license number (not accurate).  

I asked for a copy of the papers.  she emailed me a very sloppy letter, no letter head, terrible grammar, no address, etc.  

She never said the name of her company, nor was it on the letter or email.  The email did not have a signature or body of any type.  it was sent from authorized.payment@qualityservice.com

he said my  mom didn't go to "court" and said that she committed fraud of some type !

It's all fake. The names are made up ( Mike Wiseman ) Even their voices are changed/masked. Sure, they probably have some of your information. That's just one of their "tactics" they will use to try to intimidate you. Do not let them! It's that simple. If anything, if you get bored one day, just call and ask for " Mike Wiseman".....Haha the harassment can go both ways....just saying...They might regret ever calling you in the first place :)

well obviously you are the 'Sucker' because u got jipped for $320 and 97 cents or so Mr. Evans. Ask them where they are located and you get hung up on or put on hold til YOU hang up. Think about it. Don't be so hasty.

John Marshal called and related he had a case # 61041 that had last 4 of my social security number and drivers license number on it and that I needed to call him immediately at 281-962-4140 on a Sunday afternoon??????

I received a call from this number today he stated his name was Tony I will post entire name once my phone is charged he claimed I owed a payday loan and he threatened to serve me with papers, I told him I did not owe this debt from 2013 and had no paper work I then called my lawyer and called back and requested the paper work he then pretended to get off the phone and come back and say he is going to send this back to the lawyers that at first had the bill.......I then called him back requesting the information he hung up the phone and stated this conversation is over.  I then looked up the number with the BBB and they have a F ratiing out of Houstion TEXAS he just better not call me back again

Another scammer attempting to extort with scare tactics. I'll post again if I find out more. Called from a blocked/unknown number.

Caller claimed I owed a payday loan and threatened to server me papers. clearly a fraud and they hung up and called back from a number in Illinois.
