Without a summons via mail or served, it means nothing.  Flag the number in your phone to go directly to VM.  This way you won't here it ring and they will eventually give up.  Hope that helps!

All I did was reinstate my resale license and this number keeps calling me.  Be sure to do a reverse look up on any number before calling and that will save you the headache of getting them off the phone

I have been getting calls from this number telling me they have been trying to reach me because I am being summoned to court.  I have not received any summons in the mail, so I have no idea what this dude is talking about.  Has anyone got a call from this number for the same reason?  I notice everyone else is getting calls for a different reason.

Citations or notes would be appreciated.  A company by the name of IAG Capital Mgmt is using this number as of my posting, and making calls to my workplace from an unregistered Skype account for the purpose of gathering email addresses.  The woman who called me (twice) gave this number, with an extension.

GoDaddy tells me that Integral Loss Adjusting, LLC is the registrant of IAG's website.  Charles Beshara, not Zamboni, is the registrant of ILA.

I haven't been able to link TBDC to IAG or ILA.  You posted six months ago and it's possible that the number has been recycled since then, but the cold calling, email harvesting, and anonymous VOIP calls are too suspicious to let me drop it.

Did you get info from SOSDirect?  I hate being charged by a state for information.

You guys are so awesome.  I too applied for a sales tax permit and as of this morning, my phone has been ringing out of my pocket regarding information about a credit card machine under a new business law for Texas.  I appreciate all the information.  I was going to change my number.  I am glad to know its not just me.  All of you rock.  Having a forum as such, you can put a lot of people at ease.  I am feeling a lot better this now.

Most business information is authorized as free to the public. Anyone who wants can go through the system and gain access to new business' contact information. It is honestly wrong for him to have a name similar to the free Texas based system that helps new business owners get established.

I actually received the automated call from 775-200-0308 and the recorded message that was left on my voicemail said to "call the Texas Business Development Center back at 281-971-3503." This company is giving the real Texas Business Development Center a bad name!!!!!

Thank you for this post.  I have called each of the numbers about 45 times each.  I will continue to do this for the next few weeks until he has to disconnect his numbers.  And will also call him at 6:00 AM when I leave for work, and at 11:00 PM when I go to bed.  Time for mutual respect of my phone number!!!!!!

I had been getting calls from these people for a few weeks and, after researching their number, decided to answer and find out more on them. They gave me a short speech, after which I politely asked them to stop calling me and remove my name from their list permanently.

It worked, or so I thought, because the calls stopped for about three months. But just like a bad penny or religous zealot at your door, they turned back up... again. No doubt I'll be talking with them in the next couple

I am receiving repeated calls from this number and when I answer the phone, it is only a message to call back. If this is actually the TX State Business Development Center as they say, why doesn't someone speak to me when I answer the phone to tell me more about the free credit card terminal and free printer they're offering?

Got my tax ID, first thing Monday morning I get three calls from these scumbags.  Two robo calls, one Indian suspiciously named "Steve".  Two calls a day since then.  I'm confused as to how the state can get away with releasing information like this, and even more baffled as to how these companies can call even if they get the number, as I've been on the Do Not Call list since its inception.  I've filed complaints on every one of the numbers so far and will continue doing so.

Furthermore, as Texas has messed with me, I will now mess with Texas.  Bigtime.

Just got two calls from them in an hour. I registered with the comptroller about 3 days ago.

Calling to push credit card terminals.  This is my personal cell phone - on the DNC list.  The only TX sales tax thing it could have come from is my kids' school PTA organization.  (I'm the treasurer.) Wow.  Nice of the state to sell PTA moms' personal cell phone numbers.  Who in the world would actually do BUSINESS with people that sell this way???

Got a call from this number 11/15/2010, about 2 weeks after applying for a Texas State Tax Permit.

they get your info from tax permits, it's public record and they just dig it up their and then robo call you.

I also received a call from this company after getting a tax id. They left a message to return their call.

Yep it's a telemarketer -- selling credit card processing.  Just talked to the Comptrollers office.  Our numbers are public information for one week after we register with the state.  "so that telemarketers can get our numbers to call."  If they don't get it the first week they don't get it because it is taken down after the first week.  But after they've got it -- oh well, no telling where it goes.  I'm with the other guy who said he wants a piece of the revenue the state is getting for publishing our numbers to the telemarketers.  Write your state representative -- they're still in special session.  Think they'll add this to the agenda?   :-)  Use your phone and call the national Do Not Call register.  it might help .... maybe.  1-800-382-1222

I am an Artist and I started my business Feb. 2011. For 3-7 days I kept getting call after call of credit card machine companies trying to get me to do business. I have not gotten big enough to warrant a credit card machine as of yet. Finally, they stopped calling. 2-3 days ago I registered my number on the national "Do Not Call List" that said it would take 31 days to take effect. Now, I get another one of the calls..I think they know their time is limited when you register so they will hound you to the last minute. Good Luck to all of you starting a business..small businesses is what started this nation and that is what keeps it going.

They call my number every hour and I'm on the do not call list.
