I also just received this call and caller id showed up as Bank of America. I called my bank and there is no reason for this call. I answered the call the second time and it hung up also. Very uncomfortable about this, so I called it back as well. A voice automated system asks if you would like to receive calls, press 1, and if not press 2 for the do not call list. I pressed 2. Will post again if it continues. Good day.

It's Bank of America. They just called me at 8:30 pm as I was putting my kids to bed. I called back to be taken off the list of people to call with their "Special Offer" but could not even get a human on the line. 7pm should be the cutoff of when they can call.

Does anybody else getting calls from this number?

The computer record shows I received 11 calls from 281-763-7525, and 8 from 281-984-2214, which I never answered.  My number is on "Do Not Call" list, and I never answer calls that are not registered on my caller ID list.  

If these calls are in fact from BOA, I warn you that you'd better watch your BOA/VISA card statement very closely.  

They signed me up for so called "BAC Private Assist ID Protection and Credit Management" without my authorization, and kept billing me $12.99 a month for 10 months.  When I finally caught up and complained, I was told that I only had 30 days to notice and file complaint about my VISA statement and it was my fault that I didn't notice the fact for 10 months.  They gave me a lecture that it is wrong for me to call this scheme a "FRAUD" because in fact "BAC Private Assist ID Protection and Credit Management" is part/associate of Ban of America.

Apparently, they've been doing this for quite a while.  When you Google, you'll find a list of complaints.  For instance, a California man was suing BOA in February 2010.  Here's a link to an article.

They have the nerve to take advantage of their own clients after we/tax payers bail them out!!!

Its from Bank of America, call the number back and it will be an automated system that will allow you to take your number off their call list.  Takes a month to process (total bs of course) but at least your off.

We've gotten several of these calls lately and have had the same experience as other posters.  Comes up as "Texas Call" but won't leave a message and won't speak when we answer.

They've called a couple times looking for me by name, and when I answered (someone else answered initially), no one says anything.

BofA usually comes from -1800 numbers.  This one is a telemarketing, so add it to your black list.

I answered only because I recently ordered new checks online and thought the call related to that.  A very persistent woman wanted to send me a Bank of America product and I would have to send back it back if didn't want to pay for it.  Bottom Line = Don't answer the phone when that number calls.
