These people call me every morning, with me answering and someone with a deep Indian accent saying "hello? Hello? Hello?" So this morning I finally had it with them calling, so I woke up early enough and waited for their phone call, a man answered that went by the name of Steven, asking how my morning was and asked about my Microsoft computer, I stopped him in mid sentence and told him to go back on the boat he came from, and that this is America, the land of the English speakers, so he hung up on me. A few minutes later I get a call from the same number, so I picked it up, and it was a female this time that went by the name of...I'm not sure, her Indian accent was so deep I couldn't understand it. I told her that I speak English, and that this is America. Then I told her about my "dream" that she interrupted then cussed her out about waking me up in the morning, so she hung up on me in mid sentence of me cussing her out. I wonder if they'll call again..hmm..only time will tell.

When I yelled at the man for calling at 7 AM and demanded he remove my name and number, he lowered his voice to a whisper and started making sexual comments and then threatened to call the police on me for threatening him.

I get a phone call from these people every day trying to sell me Viagra and Cialis.  Today they asked if my husband takes it and when I said I don't have one he offered to be my boyfriend.  Does anyone have any idea how to get these people reported?  I am so sick of this harassment every day.

Prank Call
I have been getting 2 to 3 of these calls a day for 3 years now. Indian scammers. I know their game and yes they are trying to gain access to your PC so they can steal your personal info. Just tell everyone you know about these crooks and what their game is. Most of the time I don't answer but once in awhile I do answer and screw with them and give them hell.

I got a call from this number just now and the female caller told me that she had been getting error messages from my computer and that I was likely infected with a virus. She started offering to help me get rid of the viruses - but I decided that talking to her was the real problem. She did have a very heavy accent and was difficult to understand.
She asked if I was sitting at my computer and if I was logged on to the internet.
I hung up without giving any information.
I'm glad others are posting their experiences.

Yup, the pathetic jerks with the heavy accents are trying to gain access to your computer to rob you.  You would think that their time would be better served by getting a real job.  Oh wait, their IQ's are below 10 so I guess a real job is out of the question.

Scam. Let's keep this short. This is an advance fee loan scam. NEVER pay money to get money. As well, asking for a fee to obtain a loan is illegal in every state of the USA.

They want to give me a $10,000 loan at 1.9% interest with a payment of $189 a month but in order to get this loan I have to pre-pay them a fee of $200 and a payment before they will give me the loan.

Got a call two calls on 15 Mar 2014 from 284-653-2222.  Person claimed to be a Microsoft Windows repair person. The individual claimed that my Windows computer was sending notes back to Microsoft stating that Windows had a lot of errors, and that I needed to do something about it.  I hung up.

Just received call from this number on my cell phone.
No one was there when I answered.
Not sure why the effort to call for their scam, and then not be there.
I believe this phone number caller scam is related to another I received a couple of days ago with caller ID = "30".
One of the same scams.

Same guy above, forgot to mention.

After a while he got annoyed enough with my "incompetence" that he told me that if I didn't let him fix the problem my computer could blow up and kill me.

P.S. If you are going to play with them act like you are hanging on every word and are really worried.
P.P.S Don't really do anything they say, ever.

I got a call from this number. It was a heavy Indian accent and they said that my Windows OS had reported a problem and they needed to fix it (by logging in). This isn't the first time I have gotten this call. I also build all of my own computers.

If you are board that day try having some fun. If you know a lot about computers then lead them on, it waste their time. Part of my converstation went like this ->

Me: "So the site was  www "dot" site "dot" com right?"
Voice: "Yes sir. Please type that in to internet explorer"
Me: "I don't have IE, can I use Firefox?"
Voice:"Sure."
Me:"Okay I typed in the site but it gave me a 404 error. Can you read the site to me again?"
Voice:" w w w dot s i t e dot c o m"
Me:"I just typed it again but it is still giving me the 404 error. Let me read it off to you, w w w d o t s i t e d o t c o m (spell dot, not .)"
....

When you are done with them tell that you run Linux or ask something like, "What version of windows is Ubuntu?". Be persistent that the name of your operating system system Ubuntu. It is always a good laugh; it also reduced the frequency of the calls.

Getting calls from this number at my new place now. They are some kind of foreign scammers that want to desperately get into your computer. Usually the spiel is you need to first look in the windows event viewer to see all those error messages that your computer is somehow sending out to the world. Then you need to open a port to let them in so they have control. They are NOT from Microsoft! I do computer support and have even heard that if you do, and they get pissed off, they sometimes start deleting all your files. What the ultimate goal is would probably be to turn your computer into a controlled bot to be used in a DDOS attack and then search for your bank account information and wipe out all those dollar errors showing in your account as well. If you accidentally speak to one of these (so-and-sos), tell them you use Linux and that shuts them up immediately.

No caller ID.  They said "hello" and lots of background noise with foreign language spoken in the background.  Don't answer this one or block it if you do.  Scammers probably.
