Was called by an automated robo voice today saying they ere from a national credit agency. telling me my debit card was shut down. To re activate I should press 1.  Of course I did not press one I simply listened , the call automatically disconnected after a few more seconds.  

I presume it is a scam call.  the number calling was   559-(2)  

tried to call it back, but no such number.

Got a text saying something similar to these calls, but with a link to follow.

The number I recieved the SMS from was "1" for some reason. Spoofer?

Just received a call from this number.  The recording said it was Community Bank calling to tell me that my debit card had been deactivated and to press 1 to reactivate.  Of course, I hung up because I don't have an account with Community Bank.

got a missed call from this number 285-652-7903. I called the number back and got a recording stating the number was disconnected.

I just got a call from this number and they left a voicemail saying they were some security thing and my debit card had been suspended. So I called my card and it is still active. This is a spam do not answer this number.

plug this number into Goggle search.  the Manteno, Illinois police department posted this number is a scam, DO NOT push any numbers.

Put this number into google search, it will bring up a report from the Manteno Police department in Illinois, Kankakee County.  The police say DO NOT press any numbers just hang up, it is a scam!!

Got a call from this number saying my debit card was deactivated,  went along with it until it asked for the account number, obvious scam.

Definitely a phishing scheme. It's an automated voice that says your debit card has been deactivated. If you follow the prompts, it asks for your account number and your pin.
That's all they need to clean out your account.

NEVER give out private information during calls you did not start. It is always best to contact the company back using a publicly listed phone number in the yellow pages or on that company's website. If you don't take this very simple and basic security measure then you are asking for your identity to be stolen.

Called cell @ 12:48 PM on 6/30/13.  Left a message on the VM about please wait and you will be transferred to our security center.

I called the number back, a message said it was disconnected or not a valid number.  I have not recieved any calls since then.

Received a call from this phone number but no VM was left.

I received a call from this # on my cell, answered, the recording said they were calling about my Merrill Lynch debit card... to speak to a rep press 1, I didn't do anything but listen, then it discounted! Knew this was gonna be a scam, I don't own this card.  Beware...............

Got a call from this number said that my account was suspended and that I had to put the account # in and press #. Definitely a SCAM BEWARE!!!!!!

This call is a scam.  Invalid area code. Computer call telling me my debit card has been invalidated & I have to push a number to be connected to someone who can help.  I'm starting to get a lot of garbage calls on my cellphone.

Recording asking for credit card info. They need to try a different scam. This one stinks.

Phishing scam. Everyone press 1 and give a fake cc number. Why? Cuz f$&k them. That's why.

Also got a call earlier today from this same number, they did not leave a message. Used Skype to dial back the number, and as others have said, the number does not exist.

Just got a call, seemingly fraud, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, saying that "your debit card has been temporarily deactivated" and to call them.
