I got a call from this number. Who is it?

I don't know who or what this company is or who's behind it. But I do not have any credit cards and how they got my information has me scratching my head. I've reversed the 288-209-9560 number and it goes to a VERIZON WIRELESS in BILOXI, MS. THIS IS A SCAM'' A legitimate company would not be calling with a recording from a cell phone'

I received a call from 288-209-9560 and i did not answer it.  Do not know who this is.

l also got a call from this number, i did not pick it up . I did a search on the net and found this page. I would not pick up because It could be something bad.

i just got a call from this number, and i picked up said hello? and the person who called me hung up after 5 seconds. does anyone know who this is??????

Called me several times. I say "Hello", no response, dead silence. One time I heard, "Hi, my name is Tim..." and then hung up on me. I was like "wtf."

Did not answer.

They called me twice but I didn't answer and then I called them back and no answer and it said this number was out of service. I texted them too,no answer, then I looked on google and I guess they are a scammers.

My experience was like everyone else's.  Call no message, but on my call back the numbers is disconnected.

Is logging this number when you are called helping to stop the calls?  Judging by the recent submissions, I guess not. I don't understand how the same number keeps getting used, but nothing can be done to stop the people behind the calls.

I got one too, they call like once a week. They should be sued.

they called an said they were from visa saying i owed them money on my delinquent credit account an they were going to file suit if i did not pay...too bad ive never had a visa account grr if people are gonna try an scam us they should at least have some cuth, manners, an tact

As a on the phone appointment setter, I know how even if your not listed, public records will still have the info. Combine that with automated dialer and ta-da your phone is called

i knew it was a fraud but i just wanted to speak to someone so i chose an option. I was a female voice and she asked me what my name was, and i told her she doesnt need to know shoe just needs to take me off of their list and the bytch hung up on me

Continue to get disruptive calls from this number.

What steps are needed to stop the calls? I will file a complaint with FTC

they called my ex-wife and asked her how she knows a donald when she told them she was my ex they hung up on her. ive tried to call this number and it says disconnected

These people called me on my cell phone! It is unlisted as far as I know. I didn't pick up because I knew it wasn't somebody I knew. Who do I turn them in to for calling me? I am on the do not call list.

Ok im a high school student and even I kno that this illegal, I got called right after school today by this number and have been called during school by other numbers. I don't get why these ppl r so hard to find.

Thinly veiled ID theft scam.

After receiving several calls from this number on my cell phone (completely illegal) over a couple days (2/day, one from this number, one from a separate number, after asking to be removed from their list), I decided to talk to a "representative". I proceeded to ask politely for their mailing address, which, of course, they "weren't allowed to give out" (Which is also illegal). When asked why I wanted this number, I replied that I was seeking to file a class-action lawsuit for harassment (Fabrication, but I'm sure if we can find the b*****ds, it'd be easy to organize one). I was then told "Good luck with that" and was hung up on.

Haven't received another call since, so threaten with legal action to have your number removed.

The calls start with an offer to reduce your credit card interest rates. I don't even HAVE a credit card. Morons.

my husband just received a call on his cell phone from this number...he couldn't get to it in time...so he called back & it stated that the number had been disconneted....

I made a post earlier about this. I just got another phone call from them now and it was from this number which is the same number of last time. I'm going to start logging all the numbers they call from.

Yeah, I got the same call just right now.  Called back but it was "disconnected." My phone says they're from Biloxi, MS.  No idea what company but yeah

I want to file harassment charges aginst these pricks.  They cut me off and told me "get the dick out of your f**king mouth,I cant understand you"

How do these people get the phone number?  I am really tied of receiving calls from people I don't know.  It was something about my credit card.

I was waiting for another call, so I answered without looking at the number.
They said they needed to contact me about my credit card, then listed a number of credit cards I do not own.  Actually, they listed every credit card company known to man: Visa, American Express, Discover etc.  Who actually has a Discover card these days?  They said they could lower my interest rate.  I just hung up.  This is obviously a scam.  I figure if I'd stayed on the line, they would ask me for my credit card number.  Then, next month, my bill would get really interesting.  As it is, these scammers already cost me cell phone minutes to listen to a recorded message.  I wasn't going to keep listening on my own dime (or my own dimes, one per minute).  This was a call to my cell phone, which is already illegal.  You cannot telemarket to cell phones or fax lines, since it costs the receiver rather than the sender.  On top of it, this is obviously an attempt at fraud and identity theft.  Remember the calls you used to get to extend your car's warranty?  FTC went after them.  If you really want this kind of thing to stop, you should complain to the FTC.  You can do it anonymously.

I received the call and didn't answer it.  I always let my voicemail pick up any call I don't recognize. Seeing what Larry posted, i'm definitley not answering it now!  Must be scammers!
