I got a call from this number and it was kids saying mommy, mommy over and over I said sorry honey you got the wrong number they said no I didn't and kept saying mommy, mommy again. I hung up. My sons friend got almost same call. They keep calling and they are calling my sister in the states too.

I received a call from this # today at 1:30. Was a woman who spoke nice a clear, saying she was from Grocery -something. I just said no thanks, and she said "oh,ok", and then I hung up.

Just  called that number, and they answered, told them I had been doing some investigating on the number, they told me it is a automatic dialing system. The lady on the phone seemed very nice about it and I gave her my home no. so she said she would make sure that I would not receive anymore calls from them. So we will see. She did apologize on behalf of the Grocery Group.

I have been getting the same thing in the last week or so, and I call back and no answer, at first I thought it might be this crazy person I know, but from the sounds of the other comments, I guess not.

They called and asked for the home owner. I told the guy that I rent, and he hung up on me.

Happening about 20 times per week . This phone number calls several times a day, every day.  When I answer, the line is quiet, no one answers for a minute then the line is disconnected.  When I call back, no one answers the line.

these calls must stop I have an unlisted number and still get calls once or twice a day

Every time I pick up the phone there is no one there. Even if it is an Ontario number,why can't something be done about this? There should be a number that we can call that specifically deals only with this kind of crap.Who can you complain to? Who can you call to make this .... stop?! I can tell you that if I ever end up having someone on the line,I know that I definitely won't make their day!!!

Overseas telemarketers often use a local number to make calls.  This number can be in an office anywhere in Canada where there is no one but the phone number.  There is not much you can do about it since the phone number will probably belong to a numbered company with no actual person you can complain too.  My suggestion is to report these things to the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre on 1.888.654.9426 formerly known as "phone busters" .  And Never ever ever give out personal information over the phone.

I also got this number calling me like crazy, again when I pick up no one answers ( but can hear someone breathing ) really creepy, and then just hangs up. my advice next time they call do not answer, im not sure what it is but its really creepy

Had several calls from this number and I even blocked it and they still can get through. I am fed up with this ...also I have an unlisted phone number so where do they get our numbers from??  Also called back several times and no one answers even using unknown caller.....getting really tired they are calling here 3-6x's per day

I too have rec'vd many calls from this number 289-428-1003 just wondering is everyone else saying they've been called also from the province of Ontario? I don't understand what benefit there could be to a company (fraudulous or otherwise) or individual to call and say nothing over and over again. I've been getting these calls for at least a week now, I work from home and so cannot afford to ignore numbers I don't recognize but this particular number is calling several times/day it's really getting on my nerves! Has anyone here been able to learn anything else about this number?

I receieved a call from this number. I wonder if it is a telemarketer's computer calling to check if anyone is at home. If this is the case an actual telemarketer could call again to speak to the home owner. This way the company does not have to pay a person to make infinite calls because a shortlist is provided of people who answer the phone. I may be wrong in my proposed analysis.

They have been calling here at least 4 times a week,leave dead air for their message..Very,very tired of this hassle...Please quit calling..

Just called us at 9 p.m. in Mississauga.  A woman asked to speak to the head of the household.  My husband asked her if she knew what time it was and she hung up on him..

Yes very annoying.  The solution to these telemarker calls is to make them pay for each call.  In the UK, each call you make, even local, you have to pay for.  So they dont get telemarketers over in UK.  Yes, you pay for every call, but it eliminates these idiots calling and bothering you.

Just call today and nobody answer on the other side. Then hung up. Pointless. These idiot must be fantasizing people voice. They could not speak cause they know they will scare people away. Anyway number blocked. No more calls from them.

My phone just keeps on ringing and ringing im getting very annoyed its this guy i dont even know who but whenever i answer the phone they just hangup i called the number back am they said hello i said please stop calling and than they hangup.

This number keeps calling me and when I answer the person just hangs up. Its been happening for months now.

Yea I just got a call from this number tonight. The ringing was kind of weird and when I picked up and said Hello, no one there. I put my phone on Mute and just listen. Then it just hung up. Second harassing phone call today. The first one was duct cleaning. I went along whit it. He asked how man bedrooms I had and I said 4. Then he asked me for the size of the house and I said 4500sq ft. Then he asked how many furnaces I had, I said 4. He said "4!" I said yea. Then he got all confused and stated babbling to someone and finally I hung up.
This is why these guys have these jobs, they have no brain function skills. If they hear something outside of their written script, they are like a deer in your headlights. If I could just get their number I would harass the s*** out of them and see how they like it.

Get a call blocker and put their real and spoofed numbers in there.

I got called today around 2:30 p.m.  Someone was on the line - she said that she was from some grocery or shopping delivery program and wanted to know whether I shopped for more than 3 persons and if I wanted to be a part of the delivery program.  I wonder whether they were trying to find out who lives alone.  I live in Windsor and this seems to be a Hamilton area code number.
