I got a call from 289-575-0110 at 5:40 a.m. on a Sunday!  Called back and go the same thing .."hello world"  then fax tones.

Both my son and my husband received calls from this number.  They obviously get all phone numbers off your cellphone account.  Obviously not a legitimate business...

Just got a call from the same number claiming that they were from "cooperative bank services" and that my debit card had been suspended. Clearly a scam, is there any we can report this?

I got the call just an hour ago. Don't remember the name of the bank it said, but it wasn't mine, nor any of the bank names mentioned above. It asked to press 1 to enter my credit card number, so I entered a false number. It then asked me to enter my PIN. I pressed 0 to see if I could talk to an operator. It just asked again for the PIN. This time I pressed #, but it still insisted on a PIN. I called the number back to see if I could reach a person, and I also got the female voice saying, "Hello World", then a long tone.

I am CONVINCED this is some kind of scam to steal your personal information! Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT YOUR CC NUMBER, AND ABOVE ALL, YOUR PIN NUMBER, even to someone claiming to be from YOUR bank. A legitimate bank will NEVER ask for your PIN.

All I got was "hello world!" and then a high pitched sound, like I had dialed a fax # and it froze.  Called again, got a different fax sound, but still the "hello world!" greeting.

ditto - they mentioned LEGACY bank - why do they want you to press 1?  I just hung up.  live in TX

saw a phone call at 3 AM.  Glad phone was in another room, I would have been woken up.  No message left, did not recognize area code.  I live in Georgia.

Got a call from (289) 575-0110 at 2:20 a.m.!! They hung up after a few rings.

Got a call from 289-575-0110 at 9:23p EST.  It said the same thing that my card had suspended due to 3rd party use.  I don't have an account with the bank that was mentioned as well, so I hung up.  Called back and the message says, "Hello World!"

In a perfect world, we would be able to find these jerks and kick the crap out of them. It's a scam, so don't fall for it.

Just got a voice mail message from phone number 289 575-0110. It said "Hello, your account with First Bank as been suspended due to possible 3rd party use....press one now".  I don't have an account with First Bank so I hung up and deleted the message. Definitely a Scam.

Just got a call from the same number, ID said Ontario.  Automated voice said they were calling from East Idaho Credit Union and that our card had been abused by a 3rd party. . . to press 1 to get it renewed.  We hung up because we don't have a card with EICU.  Suspecting some kind of scam.

I just got this message to!  It said the exact same thing to me.  How weird.  I wasn't sure what they were calling about.  I wonder how to get to the bottom of this?

got a call from this number - caller id said ontario call - I answered it cause they have been calling for weeks - IT SAID - that my card had been subsended - randolph bank - I don't have a card from this bank...said to press 1 to continue - then it hung up.....called the number back - all you get is a voice saying HELLO WORLD then fax tones....
