I get calls from this number daily, sometimes 3 & 4 times.  When it first started I used to answer and at one time was told that they are duct cleaning company and I said I was not interested and asked that they  do not call again.  Calls still keep coming but I do not answer.  And on a daily basis now, my phone registers 3 or 4 calls.

Here in Canada though, our government isn't shut down (not that it makes much difference ugh!) but our rule of thumb (from when I was a telephone caller) was business and mobile phones are exempt.

The police told me that they had checked it out.  It is a company based in India.  Unfortunately there is nothing they can do to stop them...

DNC list only works for "legit" companies.

As for telling them you're a business? That's anti-helpful for you, because businesses aren't covered by the DNC list.  I'd link you to the website, but with the whole government being down thing, it won't help. glad to know being on the national do not call list means absolutely NOTHING.
They aren't supposed to call businesses so I always claim to be a business.  Usually I dont get calls again but there's always going to be one dense person that calls again and again.


I have panasonic phones and put these numbers on call block so it rings - then cancels the call.. Its the best I can do!

Just started today, but I keep getting calls from this number and not a word is said and then they hang up. Looking at the other posts and the close timing and dates, this is getting to be really sketchy.

I have had calls from this company not only will they  not stop calling I have  had them call me  back and swear at me I ask to talk to managers and they  either wont get them for me  today the man claimed he was the manager and he  don't care  if this is harassment  hes going to keep calling me this company is  nothing but  a scam  they call me sometimes 3 or 5  times a day  I have asked for them to take me off there list and it never end

I've had numerous calls from 289-698-0162  The process is always the same, no one responds, and eventually they hang up.  There is NO excuse for this.  The telephone company can and should look his number's owners up and take action.  Obviously they simply don't care

I also got calls from the same #. Nobody speak when I pick up after 30-40 sec person hung up.
