I advise you to come forward to 2014 like the rest of us. The scammers pay little to nothing to make the calls because they use Magic Jack or other VoIP services. The phone companies don't make money by selling their information because they have none, since the scammers fake the caller ID at will.

Maybe phone companies are now paying fake callers,in order to make money,by making B.S. Debt  calls?
If you try to find out who it is,they want to charge you to look up the phone number.
It`s all fake calls,just for the phone companies to make money.

Stupid company constantly calls even though i tell them they have the wrong number. Stupid tards call 3 times a day.

Just got a call from an aro incorporate today at 9am. The call was for my mom, but my mom couldnt undersand a thing the lady was saying so my mom handed the phone over to me. On the phone i asked the person which company are you calling from and what is it about?....the person on the phone was so rude, shes like "is so and so there," in a interrogating manner im like sorry my mom doesnt understand english and shes like, " im going to have to call back, bye" wtf??!

This is ridiculous they call several times a day. But never leave a message

I'm curious as to how they make their money if when you pick up nobody says anything....???

I have received call from this no. and he is not answering when I pickup the phone .I recall him but reception says that it is from ARO or RBC and there is no no.in our data that our agent called you and dropped down the call.I think it is fraud and beaware ???

Its not a debt collector dont owe any money to anyone and they call all the time.

Called me asking me to confirm my name and birthday.  I said no.  Said he was calling about my Royal Bank account.  Said I don't have one.  He said I do.  I asked for his number to call him back on.  He asked why.  I explained that I get a lot of fraudulent calls.  He told me this isn't one.  I asked again for his number and he tried to bully me into giving my personal information. Explained I don't give personal information to strangers who call my personal phone demanding it and hung up on him....a week later and they called me (no message) again today.  DO NOT give personal information to people who call asking for it!

No idea who these clowns are, call 2-3 times a day and never leave a message, blocked them and i can see they still call me in my call log. Who ever it is they are frauds.

its ARO incorporated.  they are a collections agency.  the guy I spoke to was rude and talked to me in an interrogating manner.  he should be fired.  its called professionalism, their workers should try it sometime.

I answered after getting numerous calls just like many of you on this forum and said "My name is Det. Sonny Crockett with the OPP, and I know who you and your company are. We've been investigating your fraudulent activity for quiet some time now and have an exact location where you...." before I could finish saying "are" they hung up and never called back. So first of all you all now know they're dumb a** criminals  and just as gullible as the unfortunate people that fell for the scam. I mean seriously? Det. Sonny Crockett, I know Miami Vice was the 80s but they did make a movie based on the show in 2006 and despite negative reviews grossed over 200,000,000 at the box office. So for those who are getting non stop calls try that approach but maybe use "Det Ricardo Tubbs, Lout. Horatio Cain, Lout. Mac Taylor, Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid etc." because they s*** themselves right quick and like I said never called back.

Ya same as me, I am weary of Private callers let alone callers that say "Confidential" but still display their number.

I get calls all the time, no voicemails, when I picked up finally a weird sounding guy said he needed to discuss a business matter and that he'd be calling again

This number has been calling my office as well as 289-789-1022 and 289-789-1023.  When I answer the phone there is a dead silence then they hang up on me.

Yep got a call from them today and they refused to identify themselves, kind of stupid considering they want my info yet will not tell me who they are or why they are calling. Next call I get I'll be reporting it to the police.

This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of Iristel VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.
