To these scam artists, time is money!  So, run up the minutes using made-up credit card numbers, develope a lisp, ask for another language etc. My personal record is 21 wasted minutes. I then said that I wanted nothing, but saved a dozen people from getting his crap calls, laughed & hung up.

just had a long call from these guys.  I try to make the most of these situations.  I take time to slowly talk about credit cards and their sorted lies.

Lie 1:  we negotiate with the banks to lower your rates.  Well that is just not true.  The bank is not the holder of your debt and your bank manager has no responsibilities that connect to controlling the interest rate of your card.  The teller at the bank is only a sales agent selling cards to people.  They check and qualify you legally as something called due process to aid in getting money in cases where you fail to pay.  After you get the card the bank gets a commission and no longer is part of the process - your local banker is not in any way a piece of the action any longer.

Lie 2:  we lower your interest rates.  Well this is more of a sorted lie.  Lets see you lower the interest rate but the credit card magically raises the monthly fees.  This is totally legal due the fact you signed your name to the most complicate coagulated contract in order to get the card.  Contract lawyers find it it extremely difficult to make it through this mess of a contract.  Seemingly impossible when you make purchases with a card you have no real knowledge of what you will pay.  At any point, for the strangest reasons, your interest rate can go up - because you agree to it.

And by the way the guy I was talking to is saying its your fault if you have issues and complaints with this company.  All people having issue have been lying to us - he claims.  If they told the truth and have been completely paying all bills on time then you qualify - really if you have been paying all your bills and are not in trouble than just get an over draft and pay off the credit card without this strange service.

If anyone is going to teach these con artists a legal lesson, please post it here. I'd very much like to be part of it. they're getting annoyingly intrusive. As as nail whichever company is responsible for harvesting unlisted numbers! I will also be filling a claim against my phone company for leaking my "unlisted" number to them leeches!

This number called, I picked up but there was only silence so I hung up. Tried calling back but mailbox was full. If it's a scam I hope these losers get charged or something...

This number has called my private cell phone number.
I am very upset that a telemarketer has been calling my private cell phone number!
Would definitely be beneficial to many if this number was blocked some how.

Got a prerecorded message on my cell phone.  I don't give out my cell phone to any companies for this reason. I don't want to be paying for unwanted soliciting calls on my phone.  Do these people have nothing better to to????!!!!!

This is the number of a known telemarketing fraud, believed to originate in India, which defrauds consumers by claiming to offer lower interest rates on their credit cards.  The consumer is duped into providing a credit card number.  Thousands of dollars are charged on the card, and no services or interest rate reduction are provided whatsoever.

Be warned and informed - this is a telemarketing fraud.

Received call from this number. No response when I answered. I called back..."mail box is full" recording. My number is registered with the DNCL...just filed a complaint and I would recommend that anyone who has received calls from this number to do the same:

they called me today and asked me if i want to lower my interest rate on my credit card.  she proceeded to ask me if i have more than $4000 credit card debt. and then i told her that i need her to identify where she is calling from and who she is.  she claimed she was in the states and that the company is called "Global Assets".  I said that I wanted to know more before we proceed with her questions.  She said she could transfer me to an account manager. Put me on hold and hung up on me.  This has Scam written all over it.

what part of DO NOT CALL do these companies not understand?

Persons this ""clever"" callers....bad.... we look on our call display... do not  show a name...so... let the  keep ringing. we never lift the reciever.

This number has been seen on my phone 5 times in the last month. I refused to answer it the first 4 times as I don't like to answer RANDOM calls from unknown names. The last time they called, I answered mainly to tell who ever was on the other side to stop calling. When I answered the line was dead air, I waited about 2 mins trying to get a response from the other end. Then whoever was there, hung up, I heard the phone hit the phone base, but not hang up right that second, took the person on the other end 2 more trys before they hung up the phone correctly. This number is now on my blocked callers list.

Just called my cell and went dead, called back to message saying there is noone available to take my calls.

i got a call from this unkonwn number on my cell. i dont have airtime so i didnt answer and they left no message. after looking up the number im glad i never answered
