This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of Iristel VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.

they keep calling, not leaving a msg, called them back, got a machine, asking me to leave my name and number, I said...please stop calling me!!! ..im in Canada

I keep getting calls from this number too. They let it ring and then hang up after one or two rings. No message was ever left. It's getting annoying and I now have blocked the number all together.

they call my cell... my cell is an unpublished number, therefore.. its a SCAM ..must go thru and call every number in a sequence without even knowing who or what they are calling!  its an ontario number.

I've just received a phone call from the a/m phone number.  As soon as I answered whomever called hung up.  I've been getting a lot of unwanted long distance phone calls lately from who knows who.

If I attempt to answer the call, noone is there!  What's their purpose??

So anyone know how to get raid of them?

These a***oles seem to call once to twice a god damn day..Im pissed..they are wasting my airtime....

289-809-3566 random calling, no one ever responds.
They stay on the line keeping it engaged even after I hang up.
Takes a minute or two til they hang up, very irritating and time wasting.

I received two calls from the same number 1-289-809-3566 but different sales pitch first one was for lottery winning second was free my debt.

it is a land line, located in Richmond Hill, ON ,carrier is Iristel canada google it and then call the company and make complaints to them . yes i did and yes i have:-)

called here, but didn't leave a message.  Earlier 000-000-0000 called & there was nobody on the line.

this number called in our landline and to my mobile phone and almost evryday grrr, its very annoying!!...I`m in canada too

The call could be coming from anywhere in the world - iristel is a voIP company, leasing lines to anyone with cash. Most of their clients are credit card fraudsters, etc.

I just received a call from 289 809 3566, when I said hello no one was talking on the other line.  Is this one of those fraud calls.  How do I block this call and where is this call coming from?
