Take it to the post office. Since it's a scam that makes it a Federal crime.

Check from Bank of America, Atlanta, GA to me personally with my address for $1,300+ for mystery shopper program

This is a real company, energy services, not mystery shopping.  I did not sign up for it so would like to know how they got my personal information.  Not sure if I should drop off at bank for local police dept.

It's an obvious scam when the first assignment is to send them money.  I can see it working on desperate people.

my wife just received one of these checks  for $1296.75. She is to call a number and speak to Fred Gilbert. After cashing the check she only has to send them a Money Gram for $940.00 and gets to shop with the rest. What a great deal !!!! Also a real great scam. Address on the letterhead is from Pittsburgh, PA and postmarked Canada.

Be alert people - if it seems to good to be true it usually is. No one is giving you anything for nothing.

I often wonder if the majority of people who post on these forums ever read any of the comments others have posted.  There was more than enough evidence to determine this was a scam and directions on how to prove it was a scam (take the check to your bank and ask them to investigate but do not deposit) so they did not need to keep asking "Is this a scam?" over and over.  Come on people, a little reading can go a long way towards helping you.

Take the check to your bank - they will be able to determine if it's a scam or not.  Most likely it IS a scam though.  Do NOT deposit the check!

This is the "Mystery shopper" scam. Yes, it is a scam. The check is no good. The hope (of the criminal) is you will deposit the check, forward the money, all before your bank tells you the check bounced. People thing a check clears in a few days, it sometimes can take weeks. As a poster above mentioned, why were all fees not deducted BEFORE you got the check? Simple scam folks.

I got one of those checks from M & C Logistics andcant find any trace of them anywhere.  I looked up the name that signed the check and the person I was suppose to report to: but again I come up with nothing.  Is there an easieer way to find out if it is a scam or not?  I got the site from an organization that helps out with single mothers.  I don't know what to do.

Based upon the above postings it is very likely a scam.  Take the check to your bank but do not deposit it. Ask one of the bankers there to investigate the legitimacy of the check and provide them as much information about the sender as possible including who any fees were to be sent to.  If they find the check is fraudulent, they can forward all the information to the proper authorities for further investigation.

I got a check from M &C logistics services is it real or a scam? ! They did not call they sent me a check & and evaluation paper as well.

These guys sent me a check I deposited I kept the money. Check was cleared by the bank and after 4 days the check bounced. Big scumbags try to get innocent people to make a big profit by lying and stealing.
I would say at least learn English, whoever I contacted had awful grammar.

I got a check as well and yes i tried to cash  it, sad how pepole try to get over and i thought it was a real descent job

this is a scam - did some research and found the following

1.  No such address for 1282 Old Apharetta Rd, Apharetta, GA  
2. BankNorth Massachusetts is a real bank but their zip code IS NOT 01608
3. No such company for Trade Data Translations

Ask yourself would anyone HAVE TO call in to active a payroll check BEFORE depositing??????
Why didn't their so-called "SURVEY FUND TO BE TRANSFERRED" deducted BEFORE sending you a money order??????
I could go on and on with questions you should ask right of the bat from reading their job offer.

I got a check today and  I called that number and as soon as I called there was a busy signal as if the number was not a working number. The check looks real. Im going to take it to Bank of America to see if this is a real company.

idk if it is a scam im looking into it and i could not find traces of the company its self online. so it is more than likely a scam. what they do is they send the business check out. of course it is used in the mystery shopers program. i signed up for it because they seemed like they are an actual company. i got the checks but im not going to cash it. what they do is you cash the check and send a certain amount of money to the area manager via the scam artist and the check bounces. you get in trouble for the bounced check and they take off with the sum of money they told you to send it back. so do not cash the check.

the check is no good and you know it, take your filthy scam elsewhere (to your grave, perhaps?)

I called the bank the check was drawn on and they said it was a real company. You can find the bank online
