It seems to work good if I just tell them what they NEED TO HEAR. If you owe them, then tell them what you can do. If they don't like your answer, then to bad. I like the phrase, "You can't get blood from a turnip." If you don't owe them, then tell them you have no idea of how to contact who it is they are trying to reach. If they say you owe, and you don't, you could always say, "Prove it." In the meantime, just put them on your reject list and let them figure it out. Or you could just get used to answering the phone a few times a day and give the same response, "Prove it." One way or another, you'll get closure. Whatever you do, don't let them talk you into giving any info, even your address. Even if they point out that you've called them. (If you did) If it's legit, they should already have all your info.

I keep receiving calls from this number and no one leaves a message. I always ignore it but I'm not sure who it is from.

One of the highest levels of complaints with the BBB and the Ohio Attorney General's office where the company is headquartered. They make a point of flaunting the law knowing that very few if any people they harass will not take legal action against them, and they have a stable of attorneys who will appeal any complaint or lawsuit until you give up because it becomes too costly to challenge them. They are abusing the system, and they have paid off Ohio politicians in the form of "campaign contributions" to keep from being reigned-in.

Two days after I signed up for google voice, I was amused to find three attempts to call me from this number... in my Spam folder! :D
So:
A. They apparently just call random/sequential numbers regardless of who has them or how long, and
B. They're so bad Google blocks them by default.

Received phone calls from this Crestwood Management approximately one year ago.  I recall that, at the time, after looking up the complaints against them,  their debt claims leave something to be desired. At that time, I faxed them a "do not call this number" letter @ 440-484-2802.   I also specified that if they had ANY business with ANYONE from this household, they should send it in writing TO THE ADDRESS THEY HAVE ON FILE.  I am not about to volunteer any information about anything to a business I have nothing to do with, and without any prior written contact.  If this is a collection agency with a legitimate debt claim on behalf of one of their clients, it is very strange that they use the phone to initiate contact. Who is stupid enough to converse with an unknown individual, give up personal information, and agree to anything without proper documentation?  

Anyway, their number/name (Crestwood Management) was on Caller ID yesterday, ONE YEAR after their phone calls stopped.  The day before that, an "unknown caller" ID appeared.  I do not answer calls from "unknown callers," nor from an ID with a name/number I have no business with.  No message was left.  

Once again, I faxed a request that they STOP calling this phone number.  More than a year has come and gone without hearing a word from this Crestwood Management, either in WRITING or by phone.  What is it with these people?  

If I get even one more call from them, I'm filing a complaint with the BBB, and with their State.

Again, after a year of not hearing a word from these idiots, they called my home phone.  This time, they did not leave a message.  Approximately one year ago, I sent a fax to them asking them not to call my phone #, and specified that if they had ANY business with ANYONE from this household, to send it in writing to the ADDRESS THEY HAVE ON FILE.  Never heard a word from them.  Apparently, now, they're going to start their b.s. again, without having any contact via writing.

I expect not to receive another phone call from this Crestwood Management.  Surely, if they have a reason to contact this household about any debt they claim they're handling, they should be expected to do it the proper way, in writing.  I'm sick of this Crestwood Management!

This company, Crestwood Management, calls my home two to three time a day and have been for months and months. They NEVER leave a message so I have no idea why they are calling. I never heard of this company before. Today I am going to call them (from a different phone, maybe a pay phone if I can find one) and ask why they are calling just to see what they say. If I get no satisfactory reply, then I'm going to start calling THEM two to four times a day and hang up, see how they like it.

Crestwood Management begin calling me this past year for a debt I supposedly incurred in 2009, yet they choose to contact me in the last few months.  Additionally, they lied and said I agreed to make payments to them or the debtors after which they never followed up until now.  They want $800 dallors from me.  They called me night and day, as late as 10pm and as early as 7:30/8am.  I reported them to the FTC and the better business bureau for their unlawful business practices.  It's against the law in New York to contact people regarding debt before 8am and after 9pm.  Additionally,  address they presented them selves working out of is not listed as an approved licensed location.  Furthermore, they never contacted me to request the debt.  Something smells bad in Denmark!

Received a call from them today, Heidi left a message regarding an outstanding debt. Left and 800 number to call back.  800-741-9982.  Called that number and it was a recording for a free Bahamas Vacation.
Definitely a scam.

A "Bob Jones" keeps calling from Crestwood Management.  However, there is no listing for a Bob Jones in the company directory.  Sounds like a scam.

I got a call on my cell (a pay as you go phone) there was no one there when I picked up.  After reading all the comments here I simply placed the number on my phone's reject list. UP THEIR'S......

Crestwood Management is a collection agency and is contacting you on behalf of some creditor. You should ignore their calls and block their number from your phone. They will persist until you take some action to
block their pursuit. There are laws which protect you from harassment by them or any other collection agency. You can inform them to stop; period. If they continue they are in violation of Federal Law and they know it. You can report them.
I have a end all solution that works everytime but can't publish it as I don't want to give it away. Use your imagaination and get creative, you can say anything you want to them other then threats of violance or harm to them, their families or their office, property. Anything else is legal. Their problem is to call your bluff or back off. Most times they will quickly back off and go away. They can't make any money chasing their tail and wasting time when they can intimidate and chase others who are too afraid to confront them and stand their ground. My final advice is to never, never, never deal with collection agencies. Go back to the original creditor and try to settle or make payments only to them with your account number on the payment. Never make payment to a collection agency no matter what they say or tell you. You have no obligation to talk or deal with them, they are the creditor's problem not yours. I went thru some bad financial times thru no fault of my own and handled my credit problems this way and believe me I am thankful that I did. No harassment and I worked out my own solutions. I had a creditor who insisted that they won't accept any payments period, send them to the collection agency. Well I sent payments to the creditor and guess what, they cashed the checks and never refused or sent back one single payment. That bill was paid in full without any further problem. Remember that payments sent to creditors; especially banks, stores and larger institutions are usually received by a totally seperate department who simpley processes all incoming payments without question. They credit the account shown on the payment and the computer takes care of the rest. Their software may try to add fees (late/penelties) but you can ignore them, just make payments until you payoff you balance. Trust me it works perfectly.

Im with you there. I wish I had him behind a building for about 10 minutes, Wouldn't need much more time than that .Call from a 800 # Don't say who they are.Just says 800 service. Evidently a bunch of low lifes work there that can't get a regular job because their education is just a little higher than pre-school. I hung up on the dumb a**. Got a call from this number and did not answer. No message was left. http://tnid.us identified this number as belonging to Crestwood Management, a debt collector. This number is in the area of Williamsport, MD.

We constantly for years already get phone calls from this number from a guy named Bob Jones.  They never tell us what this is about except to collect some sort of debt.  We don;'t owe anyone anything.  We pay our bills on time and our credit is excellent.  We want these harasing calls stopped!!

Technically, they can call you at work but you only have to tell them once to stop calling you there.  Then they can get into trouble if they do.

I get daily calls from this number but I never answer them. I never answer calls I do not know. They call all day and even on the weekends. I am sick of them. I owe no one money!!!  I pay my bills every month and I wish they would stop.

Send them a fax, if they call you and you want them to stop!  Tell them that in addition to wanting the calls to stop, if they have legitimate reasons to contact you, SEND IT TO THE ADDRESS THEY HAVE ON FILE, AT THE NAME THEY HAVE ON FILE.  IF they do so, and most likely they will not, handle it all in writing!

Sending them a fax was, at least for now, the way I got this robocall b.s. to stop.  I filed an online complaint with the FTC, and with the Do Not Call website.  If these morons think I'm going to help them find anyone, let alone pretend there is someone at my phone # that they have legitimate business with, they're sadly mistaken.  If they're legitimate, then they're going to do business the correct way, in a civil way, and not haphazard robocalls meant to harass and bother anyone.

By the way, I told them to send something in writing TO THE ADDRESS THEY HAVE ON RECORD!  

If this bunch of cluckheads has this household's name and address, then they can send it in writing.  I won't hold my breath!

*Follow-up*  I got this company's fax # after Googling it, Fax: (440) 484-2802, and sent them a fax asking them to stop calling my phone.  I also told them that even though their website says they're BBB accredited, they are NOT.  In fact, I clicked on their own BBB link, and was taken to a screen that says:

In the fax I sent them, in addition to asking them to stop calling my phone number, I told them that if they had legitimate business with someone from my phone number's household, to SEND IT IN WRITING.  

Since this so-called collection agency has never sent anything in writing to begin with, I have no intention of calling them and helping them locate ANYONE, let alone pretend that someone at this phone number has a debt they're trying to collect.  Enough of this collection agency b.s.  T
