College Republicans.  Fundraiser.

They call all the time. I'm sick of it!!!

Got a call from "Anonymous" today. Thanks to all who have posted here telling me this is the college Republicans. No more money for them!

on my caller id just now it was CRNC it rang one and a half times no message

I just bought a call blocker device. My current phone is able to block up to 30 numbers - woefully inadequate. Anyway, the new device can block entire area codes. I've already blocked area 202 and 703 (across the river from DC in Virginia) because of the political robocalls . Guess I'll block the 301 area too.

I won't answer. But I've seen at least two things. One is call from some lawyer/individual/firm that uses the number you see as a 'cloak" to hide their real identity. Second is a purposeful spoof to annoy the user one way or the other regarding a third party - politics for example politics Dem acting as an annoying Rep. or vice versa

Caller ID said "member update." Didn't answer. No message left. I re-registered recently with the Do Not Call list, yet junk calls seem to be getting worse lately. Maybe DNC law needs to be made tougher with fewer exemptions!

It is now saying "member update".   Republican party who also calls under many other numbers.

Just received a call from this number for my father.  When I said he was still sleeping, the piece of crap hung up without any other words.  Trying to find out who has this number so I can tell Dad not to send money to these jerks.

It comes to me (numerous times) as "Member Update"; I don't answer......  How reputable are they, actually..... Call me suspicious, but choosing the "3" option to be removed from their list suggests to me that they could be cleaning a phone-number list to sell, for others to call you, now knowing that your number is a valid one!    Just sayin'

As a former Republican turned Libertarian, I enjoy returning GOP mailings in their postage paid envelopes with messages not to ask me for anything until they stand for the core principles, such as limited government, that they claim to believe in.

As to the calls, I ignore them unless I cannot resist and tell them the same thing verbally.  Of course, it is more fun returning the envelopes because it costs them money they can no longer spend on an establishment candidate!

This is not the first time I've had issues with the College Republicans cold calling and disrupting my business.  I called once and they seemed concerned about taking me off their lists, but six months later it seems its back to business as usual.  I think they have a list broker that is selling them garbage.  This is what happens when you let politician carve-out an legal exceptions...they are not subject to any regulations on spam or telemarketing because they are political organizations.  We need to repeal this.

Have been getting calls from this number for a few weeks now, and I have never answered any of the calls. I'm sure it's just scammers trying to steal your money anyhow.

Second call, in the last few days, from this number.  It probably is some Republican $$$ begging call.  The joke's on them; I've become a Libertarian.  Could not stand the Establishment, any longer.  As such, I would love the freedom from annoying calls, such as these, and I guess I can get it with a call blocking mechanism which blocks more than just 50 numbers.  Caller ID is "Member Update".  As is customary, I did not answer, and no message was left.

Called me today..ID showed Member Update..these blankety blanks will go to any extent to try u to answer.  I'm pretty sure they have called me in the past but showed all kinds of names.

Saw caller ID and didn't answer. From the previous message information it appears it is a political party.

I have no known contact with this number.

CID: shows anonymous. *67 then I called them back: Recorded message ID's them as the CRNC (College Republicans National Committee).
Probably want more $$$$.
BTW they are a 501C corp, so they are exempt from the National DNC list.

Thanx for the tip, Fred. Calls from this number were getting annoying and my blocker thru Comcast only allows up to 12 numbers. Now I'll just wait and see if it works.

This number calls me twice a day and no one speaks when I answer.  The Icaller D is "anonymous"

Called this evening. CID said anonymous. No message.

I get calls from 301 223 0055 all the time! I don't answer my phone anyway but respond to legitimate messages. They don't leave a message. They're just in the business of annoyment with no regulation with regards to privacy.

Caller ID says Member Alert but they don't leave any message.

Received a call from this number as "Anonymous".

Get calls from this number several times per week.  The message is always the same - a ringing phone.  Very annoying.

I also got caller ID that identified the number only as "Member Alert."  I never return these calls.  If it's a legitimate call, they leave a message.   The Do Not Call Registry, sadly, no longer works.  They can't keep up with the people and companies that abuse the system.  The number of such nuisance calls has increased significantly (at least to me) over the last six months.  The calls come day and night, seven days a week.  I think I'll take Lone Stranger's advise (see above) and wrap my phone in aluminum foil (just kidding!).

I am getting a call from this # ever day and we are on the no call list.  301-223-0055
