I keep getting a call from 240-699-8907.  Called that number back and was told to call 800-864-8601  and follow the automated instructions.  I found the number to the company is 877-462-7489 at Maritz Research.  I recommend that everyone call their 877 number, due to the fact it is cost to them.  They may get the message that if people are on a national do not call list they should respect it!

Create your own ring tone. I decided to record "silence". I save this number and assigned the "silence" ring tone.... you know... so that I would not mis them again.

Simple solution to all of these idiots go buy a very cheap fax machine. One that you can manually answer with. You see the number get the fax to pick it up. Their computer will register a fax line and take the number off of it's call list.

I receive these calls at all hours of the day and night!  I am getting ticked off that they keep calling, with different 'company' names, and offering different services.  
I am not interested in any of these services, particularly as they are not even offered where I live!
It is really annoying to be awakened by this crap.

Hello, i would just like to add that i am a former employee of maritz research. I called and conducted survey's for bank of america. This was in no way a sales call, and it was just a voluntary survey. The FCC and the No Call list do not cover our service since the company is not a "telemarketing" company. You can however ask to be removed from the company's calling list, once the respondent has been verified. If someone does not answer, the number is re added to the registry, so if you are home when you receive the call, it is in your best intrest to answer the call. We have businesses in California, Missouri, and Sazkachuan. I hope this help some.

Normally, a person from Bank of America would not call you on a Sunday but sometimes the project gets so far behind that they have to. It is not someone from Bank of America calling you, it is a market researcher calling you ON BEHALF of bank of america. They normally call between 2p-9p across all time zones. The researchers themselves call from 4p-11p central time (at least from the location i callled from). I know this, I used to work for Maritz Researach on the Bank of America project. This is a collection company--absolutly for sure. They call all the time looking for someone who had this number at least 3 years ago. So far I have recorded, documented and traced this number and they are a collection company no doubt about it--I don't care what someone that use to work there says.
Why do they use MEDS Research sometimes and Maritz othertimes ??? They are hiding their real identity which is against the law--they also call with an unknown caller id but the telco traces it--so far 87 violations--this is easy money.

I work for Maritz and we have nothing to do with debt collecting. We are DEFINITLEY not a scam. We are hired by companies who everyday consumers deal with. For example, you buy a cell phone at a store...that cell phone company then hires Maritz to call the customer for a follow up survey or short customer relationship call. All calls are monitored and recorded and sent to the company the consumer dealt with to help the company do better in serving their customers. You may not think survey taking is important or a customer relationship call but it could mean someones promotion or demotion, all in all it helps companies serve their customers better by listening to their comments or suggestions. And as for the continuous calling...simply refuse or ask for DNC. The computer dials the numbers automatically...the numbers which you the consumer provide to the company youre dealing with...the company then gives us the number to follow up with you to see how your experience with that company was. Just thought I'd clear that up.

We just got a call from this number and showed MEDS Research on the caller id.  The lady wanted to ask us about how service was at our local bank we deal with.  I told my husband to not answer any questions about our bank over the phone.

Received a call on 27 Sep from this number.  Caller ID referenced Med Research.  Didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number.  I'm on the DO NOT CALL Register, and have no business relationship with them.  They should be fined by the FCC or FTC for unsolicited calling!  Scam or not, the best way to stop the calls is to simply NOT ANSWER a call from a number you don't recognize.  If they're legitimate, they'll leave you a message.

Just got  a call claiming  that  it was BB&T market Research when caller  ID Identified it as MEDS Research.  The caller asked  about my saitisfaction with a BB& T branch in Amherst, Va.  Alos asked if  anyone in my family was in the finaancial business-- which technical my husband it because he works for a buch of accoutnants in the communciations field.  Next I was asked to rate how I liked my BB&T service fron a scale from 1 to 10 with ten being the highest.  I said nine-- and that ended the survery which was supposed to have taken between  5 to 8 minutes!

So who was this masked man or masked caller?

I hate even legitmate survey research!

The caller claimed to be calling fro Merk Market Reserach for BB & T-- but Maerk is a phamceutical company and my caller ID indicated MEDS Reserach!

I Live in a suburb on the west end of Toronto, Canada and every day when I get home from work I have weird area codes on my phone usually with no messages. For curiosity sake I always look them up on 411.com, 90% of the calls are out of area from the US and the remaining %10 from places far from me in Canada. I just put msc-vip6.nj.itx into a google search and found this site as I recieved this call at 1248pm EST on 11/20/08 ... seems like im not the only one who has recieved this ... I once even got a call at 130am on a tuesday morning from a 876 area code ???? where is that ??? i looked it up ... JAMAICA ... that was the last straw .. im moving next week away from the tel# i have had for 5 years and im hoping that will change things

Today I received an unsolicited call at 6:46PM, during my dinner and in the middle of the evening news. There was a female who identified herself as being connected with Maritz Research. Coincidentally, two calls which I didn't answer were received from an unknown number at 6:08PM and 7:03PM. These types of calls are most disturbing.

keep receiving this call every night.  Finally answered it and they wanted to do a survey.  We told them not interested and never to call again.    Very annoying...

They are a market research firm and they have a big client list so the other comments on this site make sense.  If you call the number back the automated voice gives an 800-864-8601 number if you want to be placed on their do not call list.  Since they are not selling anything they claim that they are not in violation of the national or state do not call lists. Like the others we do not answer their calls.

My caller ID for 301-223-0057 says it is Meds Research. They call twice a day. I never pickup.

That's the numbers are dialed from a computer not a phone. They aren't an answering service they are a research firm. If you have any questions I'd be happy to fill you in, just so you know and stuff

Did you tell them to not call you back? because in Martiz's contract that the companies made for them they are not allowed to put that as a refusal unless you tell them, I'm just letting you know this for future references.

Thats because they aren't allowed to leave messages, They are suppose to status them as Answering machine/ voice mail. Then the computer dials another number for them.

You are correct, I used to call for Martiz, that was my project! i can say people made me wish we had BB&T in Missouri.They are fantastic from what I've heard!

bc your husband works in financial services you weren't qualified to do the survey so you got a courtesy question, you had to be 18 years or older and not work in marketing research or financial services, also the MEDS research is not Martiz's fault. your phone company decides what is put on the caller id.. Its MARTIZ research btw to clear up any confusion. They survey generally takes 6mins. but if you get people who talk and talk and talk when all they asked was on a scale of 1-10 the survey then lasts for 15-20mins. and then the people yell at you because the survey is taking to long. I just don't get people these days.
