The only moron in this thread is you! What type of idiot replies to a post that is three years old to call someone names? Maybe some frustrated boiler room operative who isn't good at his job. Can you prove his nephew owe a debt? Why on earth should he "turn him in"? What, does he work for the caller? You claim the nephew is breaking a law, exactly which one is that Einstein? What "lesson he is going to learn"?
Some of us regulars have an award for the "nitwit of the week", and I am nominated you.
Since you are clearly an expert on law and morality, I anxiously await you learned response -- hey maybe you can teach me a lesson MORON!

Moron. If you are impersonating someone you can go to jail. Why not just turn in your deadbeat nephew. Maybe he can learn a lesson and you can BOTH stop breaking the law and become productive citizens.

I receive calls from this number and a great many other "debt collectors" AKA scam artists. The thing that saves me frustration is I have a VoIP phone#. You can set up a real working phone # through Google Voice and give that out instead of your actual cell or land line #. It is free to set up and free to use, I've had mine for 4 years and never paid a penny for it.
You can forward that VoIP phone to any other phone you have and it also gives you the option to block phone #'s by playing an "out of service" message. I use this # for everything so I do not receive those annoying calls on my actual cell # which I reserve only for family and friends.

They are calling me an average of 4 times a day, 7 days a week. I knew in advance that it was a debt collection or scam company and never answer when I see the number on caller ID....but I am curious to ask....what would happen if I tell them to go..F**K themselves ..??...Do you think they understand those words in english ?

This number called me 1 to 2 times per day including weekends. When i called back they said they were asset acceptance and a guy with very strong indian accent said he didnt know why i was being called since my number was not on file. i told him well obviously hes an idiot because im getting a call every day and i have already filed a complaint with the FCC. i told them DO NOT CALL ME ANYMORE! Since that day i have now been getting more calls than ever up to 3 to 4 per day! I used an app to block the calls, in the last few days have over 20 calls from them

Just got my home phone installed today. This number has called 5 times since it was turned on. They haven't left a message, though, who they are looking for. I haven't even given my family this number yet. Very frustratedfrustrating to have my privacy compromised.

We have been receiving several calls a day for several months. I recently have answered the call, but oddly enough no one ever connects to the call.

8/21/13
Have received calls from this number on 8/13, 8/14, 8/15, 8/19, 8/20 & 8/21. I always let unknown calls go straight to VM. No message ever left, immediate disconnect when VM picks up. I have never received any written correspondence from Asset Acceptance.
Next step: I will send he standard Cease & Desist letter via Certified/Return Receipt to Asset. If the calls continue after I get the Certified Receipt back I will report them to the Maryland Attorney General, who will contact them.
**Be sure to keep a log of all of the incoming calls and include in your letter to the AG.
This method was successful with Midland and Portfolio, two of the pack of bottom feeder collection agencies.

These jokers called me. I don't know who they represent, but I'm not giving them a dime,
I've forward their calls to my Google Voice number. They can talk to my voicemail all they like.

They call at least 2x every day, and the first few times I answered, there was a recording about lowering interest rates on our credit cards. I hung up since nobody in our house has any cc's, lol. Another time, some one said they were an alarm system co, and can they put a sign in our yard. I told them no, we were renters, they would have to contact the owner and our city has strict laws against signs in a residential area, then I hung up. Now when the phone rings, a recording asks for a member of the house but then says if you are not this person please hang up, so I hang up because I am not that person, lol... the person is usually not home when they call. Also, the house member they are asking about in the recording, shares his name with at least one other person who lived in GA, and has lots of issues, so we no longer take calls for this name. I myself have been a victim of ID theft, I know of 3 other people with my name (legitimately but if they have issues I may get those calls) and then I am aware of whomever was using my name &/or SS# in another state, so I will not do business over the phone unless I already know the business / person and have dealt with them in person previously.

We are receiving calls daily from this number. Several calls, several times a day. We have not been answering the phone but they keep calling over and over. We also are considering canceling or land line. So I've read to call the 800 number then a few posts down someone says don't call the 800 number because then you give places your number...?? I guess I will try to block them and report to do not call. They definitely are disturbing our peace.

I keep getting calls with this number every single day. I don't answer their phone calls, because I figure it's just spammers or telemarketers wanting to get some personal info. Yes, it's just annoying to be getting calls every five minutes from spammers.
| Rich 2013-08-03 16:18:00 Unknown |
I called the 800 # and they said they would remove our number from their list

Folks, don't complain to this board, SUE THE COMPANY if you're on the national DNC list. It's easy money. If you don't want to sue, at least file a complaint at donotcall.gov. Or why not call Asset Accepance's "legal guy" and give him a piece of your mind:

I called this number back and I can't even understand what they are saying. Sounds like they are from India.

Please remove me from their calling list! BLOCK! Every day and most of the time if you answer, they hang up on you.
