This caller calls and then hangs up when you answer.

I answered and there was NO ONE on the other side, so I hung up.

I got a call from this number today about 3:44 and it really freaked me out. First of all, I recognized the area code -- I used the live in the area code. Plus, my father is driving a moving truck through Maryland today and I was worried that he or my sister-in-law were trying to get in touch with me. I didn't get a chance to answer the call (it came to my cell phone) and no message was left.

When I looked up this number, I actually knew the town where it was coming from (Nanjemoy). I've been to this dinkly little town. There really isn't much there. I'm curious if I get more calls. I've only had this number for a couple of months.

I have had 3 phone calls from this number so far. January 13, 2011 12:38pm, January 11, 2011 2:55pm, and January 10, 2011 11:40am, and when I try to call it back it's a busy tone. I want this number to stop calling me...it's getting annoying.

there is i live person 15th time i receieved this number this time a male name jamejoy asked me if i was interested in getting my degree online in the next three months i said no he hung up

We keep getting calls from this number and several others where, once I answer there is nothing but dead air.  I think that this is a robo-dialer.  The number is spoofed so calling it back will not help you   Find the real owner.  Programs like this dial phones in numerical order and log active and inactive phone lines.  They will then use the list of active lines for there scams or even resell the list of good numbers to a third party normally based overseas so that companies can try to scam you with "bad debt" collection attempts or other such nonsense.
This works the same way with massive emails.  They send out emails in sequence and then check what addresses bounced back and what ones didn't.
There is not a lot that you can do about the calls other than ignore them.  You used to be able to block any calls coming from a certain area code but I am not sure if this is still something that someone can do or not.  Besides, blocking out an entire area code could cause you to miss important calls.
Just my suspicions.

I have recieved several calls from this number.I have been harrassed by these men with very thick accents since March 2010 so I don't answer calls when I don't recognize the numbers,Could be these stupid people trying to get me to answer my phone with a new area code used..Noel

Annoying, received 2 phone calls today and 1 yesterday, but no message left.

I received 3 calls on 12/30/2010 from this number.  The calls were at approximately 11am, 1pm and 5pm.  The number was unknown so I didn't answer any of them and they didn't leave a message.  I tried calling the number back several times and got a busy signal each time.  I know people in that area code but the number was unfamiliar.  Who is this???

If anyone does start a Class action Law suit I am in. Post back on here about it and i will check. It is Legal. Not even creditor or collectors(aside from IRS and school loan) can harass you. Lets tear 'em up. Called my father looking for me. No company name.

At 4:43 this afternoon, this number showed up on my caller id as Gregory Rebecca.  A woman who called herself Emily claimed to be with the National Financial Awareness Center, which according to Emily works with consumers to reduce their debt by 50 percent.  She said she was following up on a Financial Relief Inquiry that my husband had placed with her company.  No such inquiry was ever placed.  Later in the conversation, because I asked her when this inquiry was submitted, she said there was nothing on her commments screen about that, but that it was probably just a short survey that he took--he is NOT a fan of surveys!! So I asked her if she was in Omaha (received another such call from a man with a similar story a couple days ago, same area code, different number); she claimed to be in Colorado, but that her call was routed through a call center number in Omaha.  I looked up National Financial Awareness Center online, but could not find such a place.  She claimed I would find them on the Better Business Bureau website (which I didn't).  I did find something called National Financial Awareness Network, and I told her so--she said, "That's probably it!"  She claimed her "company" is owned by Great Leads LLC (I did find a website for them, but still nothing for National Financial Awareness Network).  Told her I would have to do some research and call her back.  She claimed I could call her at 301-246-0987 (I looked up the 301 area code, and that is Maryland, NOT Colorado).  I have not called her back, but I am reporting both numbers to the FTC and any other people I can find.  I will not tolerate SCAM ARTISTS!!!

I've gotten calls on and off this whole week from this number. Only once have I actually talked to another person on the line. She was looking for a "Mary Westover" about unpaid bills. However the woman that was asking for her, was very giggly and sounded really young. So I doubt it was a serious call because I heard someone an older man talking behind her telling her what to say.

Not to mention there was really loud music. Not good music, but the bad music kids these days listen to.

I've gotten 4 calls from this number . First  last Monday at 7.15am, next  Tuesday  around  noon, Wenesday 1.00 pm and today at 3.01pm...... A person  must be mentally sick.... A few months ago, I had something simiar with another number,  many times someone send me  stupid messages, I had  had enough of this. My answer was " don' call/ send any massage, if you will, I 'll make contact police or FBI...  It worked,  maybe this time also ....

Every few days I get calls from this number (i dont answer) they leave no message well....   today they finally left a message.  It was a female that sounded about mid twenties to maybe early thirties all I heard was a couple beeps like a line being transferred the the girl say "hello, hello" then she giggled and hung up. So I called back to see who it was and all I got was the "sorry all representatives are busy" its very annoying

I get a call from this number every other day or so, when I say "Hello" I hear a beep, and then a computer voice say "Goodbye".  When I try to call back normally it either says the number is disconnected or nothing happens, but today when I called back it said "All of our representitives are on the line, please stay on the line and your call will be answered by the next available representitive.".  This is getting super annoying!!!!  I get a call almost everyday, and there is never anyone to talk to, and I cant even find out why they are calling me.

I receive at least 2 calls a day from this number. My caller ID says "Caller Unknown" Like the majority of people posting here I get complete silence after saying " Hello" 3 different times I then hear a busy signal like someone hung up when they realized someone picked up!! I am going to start ignoring this caller when they call. I'm tired of anwsering and all I hear is a busy signal!!

received a call from this number. a middle east woman from the national financial awareness center. she wanted info on my finances, if i needed help paying bills.. sounded like she was fishing for info to steal idenity.informed her i was on the do not call list. ran company name on scam list. it does not exist. these are crooks, DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION.

I received a call from this number at 8:33am MST.  The message that was left was completely silent.

Weird, just block your number and call back and say something annoying. If you get mad, then they win.
