these calls are from international callers who use U.S. numbers to call the u.s. Technology makes it possible for someone from, let's say Germany, to call the u.s. using a u.s. telephone number. the caller in germany will be charged little to no money for the call. but most of the time, if you call the number back it won't go through and you will probably hear an automated message saying that the number don't work. Most of the time these calls occurs in odd times of the day because of the difference time zones between were the call is originating and the U.S.

we recieved a call at 8:30 am this morning that the id said INTL GATEWAY with a local number 724-498-4120 which we were unable to call back to,said number was not in use.

I received a call just now at 330AM!!The caller ID says it's from INTL GATEWAY..there was no answer when I picked up so I tried calling back, but I got no answer. It's really horrible to get a call at this hour and think that perhaps something has happened to a family member or that there is an emergency of some sort. My anger made me do a quick google search just now, but I can't seem to find the company or number, so I'll just vent here instead:)
I hope someone finds out who this is..it's already the 2nd time they have called at this ungodly hour.
