No message, calls regularly and early in the day (around 8am).  Reporting is futile.  I.D. says caller is in La Plata, MD.  Sometimes it rings twice then they disconnect.  What are they getting out of this stupidity?

This is from a company called Sutherland Global Services. They are contracted by other companies like Microsoft, eBay, USPS, and many other companies for sales, customer service, and tech support. This is a legitimate company that has offices all over the world, closest to me being Rochester, NY.

was wondering how he got my Local mobile number in the phils
i got 2 missed calls from 301 392 8196 registered on my phone log at 3am local time
naturally i wont be able to answer that bec he was calling at 3am!!!

at first i thought it was my sister from the US, but no, it was someone else.
if this was Sutherland then maybe it's a BPO based in the phils, and someone from that company was trying to reach me

We don't have caller ID so this is annoying when we get calls & don't know who they are from.  Have to keep doing online searches after the fact.

This was a call from the United States Postal Service asking if we had gotten the free shipping kit I requested. I would say this is a firm that makes calls contracted by companies who hire them to save man-hours.

Caller ID says Sutherland - it was a follow-up call from Kevin from USPS about trying more Postal services rather than UPS or Fedex

I received a call today from 301-392-8196, caller ID read "Sutherland." The message "Josh" left said he was from the Post Office, calling to see how I handle the shipment of legal-sized documents. The return number he gave was 855-868-0759 Ext. 785459.

called saying she was from the US Postal service to talk to me about 'Door to Door Business Solutions' she gave me a different callback number 8558690759. I do have a USPS account, but am pretty sure they wouldn't try to call me twice in 3 months rather than e-mail. I answered it once, and they were actually someone looking for my dad because he moved out of state and is probably behind on taxes or something.

NOT legit - major scam - do not fall for it.  My brother is a detective and they are having major issues with these people calling homes and saying they need to gain remote access and with that, they can basically swipe all your passwords and all off of your computer.  When I went back at the guy, after believing him myself at first, he told me literally to "stick my finger up my ***".  I said, "excuse me" to which he repeated the same vulgar comment - now I knew for sure this was completely bogus...we exchanged a few choice words, his in a very thick Indian accent, mine in English, and he hung up on me.  We received a similar call, which my husband answered about two days later and it was a foreign woman this time - and since it started off much the same and the previous phone call - my husband had a little bit of fun with the caller - before threatening them with lawsuit for harassment.  She cursed at my husband and hung up.  It is completely NOT legit.  That is why you cannot call the number back.  No matter how legit they sound in the beginning of the call do not fall for it.  They have now begun calling my number AGAIN and I just wish they would stop already.  Now I think they are trying to call when my son gets home from school, thinking he will fall for logging into the computer, etc.  FYI, the first time they began the convo with...they are responding to a technical issue with Microsoft....blah blah blah - now my computer at home is supported through the tech department at my job so I knew it was bs but did hear him out and to a not so computer savvy person - which is whom they are targeting - it could sound pretty legit initially but when you find out they do not have the most basic answers for certain questions, its apparent.  Then their unprofessional persona comes out and it is blatantly obvious they are not for real.

I believe they are a call center that provides sales, support and marketing for a variety of companies because they just called me for USPS to tell me about Direct-to-Door mailings and it seemed legit!

Just rec'd a call today and the lady indicated she's calling from USPS... She wanted to help me to set up an online account, and was being very pushy; so I hanged up the phone while she was still talking. Later proved it IS a scam - I tried to call back to this number, but it is a non-working number.
