I get calls from this number constantly.

I have received calls from 301-454-9909 at least five times per day form the past two weeks.  Calls start at 2:30 PM and continue to about 7:00 pm.  Very annoying.  I intend to ask Verizon to block this number.

Caller claimed to be able to switch us to a lower rate for electricity. Hedged when asked if this meant remaining with PEPCO. Later slipped and said "we've always had a lower rate." Told her we would not do business with anyone not showing a proper caller ID. We'll be watching our bill!

i called back. why would a disconnected number call ???

I don't understand why.  But I am really annoyed by this call.  Nobody says anything when I pick up.  Even if it is a wrong number, they COULD say that.

This place is getting very annoying. They are calling my home phone several times (about once a day) each week now.  Have not answered it - but only rings 2-3 times. No message is ever left. One additional tidbit of info - my caller ID actually says "Hyattsville, MD" in the name area.  Never have tried calling it back.  Very annoying whatever this is.

I got a missed call from this number and no voice message was left.  I called the number back and received an automated message indicating that the number has been disconnected.

Saw a hangup when I got home (No voice mail) 1252 PM 3/17/10.  Called them back and said # disconnected.

Received a call; no vm.  When I returned the call it stated disconnected.

Caller ID: Maryland.
Left no message.
Am on Do Not Call list.

Got 2 misse calls today, tried to call back - nothing. tried a land line and it says " temp disconnect"

Three rings, then dead.  Caller I.D.:  unknown name  1-301-454-9909

Rang 3 times. No answer when I picked up the phone. When trying to call back, was told cannot make an International call without first dialing 00 first. (301) is a Maryland area code!

when I answered, i got a robocall about mortgages.  Someone ignoring the do not call registry, so don't look for ethics.

called my house the first time i ignored it and let it go to voicemail, nothing left. called me again an hour later i picked up and nothing, just silence.

Caller ID just said "International." Reverse phone lookup identified number as located in Westchester, MD

Got a call 2 minutes ago.  Called back and got a message saying that number has been disconnected.

Received a call at 3:20 pm, today. The phone rang just one time. On a reverse phone number check it states the number is located in Westchester, MD.

I just had a dialogue with my telephone company about this sort of black-hat telemarketing practice. The calls are purportedly from "Cardholder Services" and encourage you to 'lower the interest rates on your credit cards'...the call appeared on my called-ID screen as a local number even though it was from Cardholder Services ...an entity that I have told repeatedly not to call. Apparently they farm disconnected telephone numbers (perhaps by area code first, then by local prefix...) and somehow use them to mask their incoming telemarketing calls, to 'trick' someone into answering. Of course we're on the national do-not-call registry.  Now I wish I were a computer programmer/software writer.  I am going to file a complaint against them with every entity that I can locate that deals with these parasites. I hate parasites; even more do I hate sneaks and intentionally-misrepresenting themselves 'people.' In my specific case there is no way the phone company can stop this; some of the phone company employees themselves are victims!

Called yesterday @ 7 pm; ID: Unavailable. No message was left. I am on the DO NOT call list.

I let the machine pick up but they left no message. 04/12/10 @ 2:55 p.m.

3-29-10 Caller ID says this is an internatioal call. Caller hangs up before the answer machine picks up.

I received 2 calls from 301-454-9909.  One call on 3/23/2010 and 3/25/2010.  Each time I tried to call the number, the recording informed me that number had been disconnected.  I contacted my home telephone service carrier and they instructed me to block the number.  Apparently this is common practice for telemarketers to have "one way" phone numbers that they receive from phone companies.

I am getting unwanted calls from 301-454-9909. Caller ID says this is a internatioal call. Please block this number
