301-483-8458 - got a call about my cars warranty, I know its a scam.  I played dumb and got a sales rep( who was a moron and easily fooled).  I got them to email me warranty documents.  the company is North American Warranty Solutions.  The documents even provided an address: 1847 Banks Rd Margate FL, 33063.  After some searching this address is also linked to a time share company called Planetary Marketing Solutions owned by Lisa Hensel.  since I gave them one of my many email accounts I have gotten more emails urging me to buy a warranty.  That last one gave the # 561-853-4827 for a call back, a quick search hasn't turned up anything really yet, except that the number is is FL, plam springs county and is land line.  That is where I believe this is all coming from.  I'm going to string them along as far as I can to get as much info as I can. Maybe someone can take the info I provided and dig deeper...

I purchased an extended warranty policy last August from this company, North American Warranty Solutions.  It sounded so good, and I had purchased a warranty before from the internet which was excellent, so I figured this was a real thing.  In January I got a letter saying I was cancelled because they had not paid the company Consumer Direct Warranty Service for them servicing the policies they sold.  I paid $2200.00 by credit card and now find out it is a scam.  So I guess I am out.  I have the Attorney General, and Insurance Fraud of Iowa working on this as well as my credit card company.  Hell will be full of these kind of people.

consumer direct warranty services or (CDWS) is a scam. I had bought an extended warranty through them and four months later my transmission went out. When the repair facility tried to generate a claim CDWS sent an inspector out to take a look at the transmission. They said the part was worn and not broken and that they wouldnt pay for it. When they sell this warranty to you, all they tell you is what you want to hear. They tell you that your transmission and engine will be covered.

Well, I was scammed by NAWS.  They sold products for consumer direct warranty services (800-209-3755). I was given a warranty packet from consumer direct warranty services, I had a card, etc.  This is not my first extended warranty, and all of the BBB information for both companies was solid (I have contacted BBB in FL and they closed my case because they didn't get a hold of the company.  The company has closed it's doors, but the BBB still has them with a grade of acceptable.  NO HELP TO CONSUMERS AT ALL).

On Feb 10, I received a call from CDWS that stated that my policy was cancelled because of non-payment from the seller.  CDWS is telling me that NAWS WAS a licensed seller, but now they are no longer affiliated with them.  How do I know what's true?  I am seeing more complaints about the "brokers" of CDWS products.  It's like a shell-game, and they are tryng to put these brokers in place to take the heat, but it all comes back to CDWS.

I don't know what to do next.  I want to contact the authorities.  I have one number that I can get through to the company that was given to me.  I am also working with my credit card company.  When I called the number given to me by the person who "sold" me the "warranty", it still works, an they answered "corporate office".

If anyone has any suggestions on what steps to take next... I would appreciate it.

Whomever owns this number has made multiple undesired calls to both by home phone and cell phone.  Usually they hang up. Sometimes they leave a message about my car warranty expiring. But everytime I call the number back it claims to be disconnected or circuits busy.

I did not answer the call and there is no message but I tried to call from my work land line about 3 minutes later and "this number has been disconnected".  This crap has been going on for weeks and I am sick of it.  I say we all protest that these calls are eating into our airtime minutes and we expect the people calling to pay for the overage on our cell phone bills.

Got a call this morning from this number.  I didn't answer, but they left no voicemail.  When I called back, 3 minutes later, I got the message that the number had been disconnected...  I don't have any warranties on my older vehicles either, so that's not where they would have gotten my number.
I'm trying to think of anything I signed up for recently and can't think of anything except a new yahoo email account and netflix...

They call me every week or two.  The last two times I spoke to a rep and asked to be removed from their call list.  Each time they hung up on me. One rep said that they got my number from my vehicle's warranty provider.  I assured them that my fourteen year old truck had no such provider.

Wow, Warranty on my vehicle is about to expire!

Okay, they changed the number that their caller ID is showing from last time. This time I was able to speak with a representative. The rep wanted my control number, I told him that he called me and should already have that information. He said he was not customer service and then was saying something else and disconnected. I called back from my work cell that he called me on and all circuits are busy recording. Called from my work landline, I reached the recording stating that the phone number has been disconnected recording. It only played 1 loop and did a soft disconnect.

10 minutes later I tried the number from my work's landline one more time and now I receive a recording of all circuits are busy now.

I will say this again. It is becoming more easy to spoof caller ID as it is spoofing an ip address. Social Engineering the rep is key to success on getting company info. From there you know what to do. This guy was smart.

Until next time

Received the call, told me that my factory warranty on my car is almost up. Hung up on it- I went online, and apparently this is a common scaming call. Typed it into Google and it came up with some persons name...just going to ignore it. Hope this helps.
