I have recieved the calls numerous times now and have not picked up the phone.They called at 1:32 am one night and my boyfriend picked up the phone and it was a man breathing very very heavily and when my Boyfreind said hello they hung up. Does anyone know how to make it stop?

My call originated from 201-467-5125 but it matched several of these posts in that the speaker had a thick Indian accent and I had been awarded a $5000.00 grant. I had only to send him $110.00 and he would then wire me $5110.00 in return. This was to verify I was who I was suppose to be. I was not to mention to the people at western union anything about the 5000.00 that I was getting. Now I may be stupid but I am not a total IDIOT. I will have this announced in church tomorrow and I encourage everyone to tell all their friends and neighbors. Some people are gulliblem lets help protect the innocent.

I RECEIVED A  CALL ON FRIDAY NIGHT. TELL ME I WAS TO GET A GRANT FOR 35.000AND HE NEED TO GET MY ACCOU,T NUMBER AND THE  BANK ROUNTING NUMBER. ITOLD HIM I DIDNT  IT AND HE FIND IT  FOR ME. AND  ASK ME FOR MY ACCOJNT NUMBER SO I GAVE IT TO HIM BUT  ONE NUMBER WAS MISSING .  AND I WAS LOOK FOR HIM TO CALL BACK .BUT UNFORTUNATELYHE HAVE NOT CALL BACK.

i got 3 calls from this number the 1st one i didnt get to in time {lucky me }, the 2nd one i did get ot and the guy told me i had a 5000.00 grant for if i gave him my bank info acct num and such, i laughed at him and asked him if i really had that much money coming to me you can send it to me on the mail so we went around and around, i didnt get the money ha ha...the 3rd time i told him i was going to report this to the FBI. the next thing i now i was talking to 3 diffrent people and the last one i talked with was very rude and told me im your dad, and hug up. so if you see this number on your cell phone DONT ANSWER IT!!!!.....its a scam!!!!!

I too received a call from this # - a guy with a heavy Indian/Paki accent. Said he was calling from the US Gov & that I'd just won a $5'000 gov grant because I'd paid my taxes on time & they want to reward me!! (yeah right!) I don't have to repay it. Their department will give me a password - Must not tell my friends. It's bank to bank transfer only through US Bank, what is my account #?  He confirmed my name & address, so I said it seemed he had his ducks in a row so just to pay it in or alternatively mail it!!!!  He said he didn't have my bank a/c details to which I replied then don't bother as I'm not giving you those details, conversation closed & hung up.  He called me back & asked why I hung up on him... can you believe it?  lol  

Be careful, they're persistent & can make up other 'almost believable' stories.  DON'T GET SCAMMED. Be wise with your answers to them too - don't get yourself scammed out of $5k.... that's what will happen  :(

This person left a dunm message on my landline but number is assign out of maryland no name attached to number but when he calls back tell his a** stop calling ...

Got a call @ 7:33 am, I answered and there was no one responding.  Then I tried calling back and I was told it was not a working #.  Isn't there a law against this?

They keep calling me  and when I call back  its not a working number! who the hell are these f***ing people!

They call, ask my name, and then hang up on me. They also leave voice messages which have a loud background of a bunch of people talking and whatever, alot of background noise. Want them to stop calling me, and wondering where they got my number.

A man with an eastern accent called my phone and left a message asking if i liked him and if i was f***ing with him when i tryed to call the number back the message stated was an invalid number ..

I keep receiving calls from this number and the caller claims he has a government grant for me. He would not stop calling even though I had warned him several times that I will talk to the police about his anonymous calls.

They have been calling for two months now

What Gov't representative calls anyone to give away money, after 8pm?  Fast talking Indian accented swindlers I think they are.  Christina Cruz was the name she used with an employee I.D. 1563

I went to Grants.gov & found no place to verify the I.D. number I was given.  She told me "You have a bank routing number to receive the grant, it does not have to be your own account"...WHAT!

Said they would call back in 10 minutes 30 minutes ago...I think I'll pass.

i received a call from this number also and they want my bank info and told 2 f*** them selves and hung up cuz i knew it was a scam.

These guys just called... it's 12:25AM.
I can't even count how many times these guys have called in the last 3 weeks...
They call to tell me that i've been 'randomly selected' for a federal grant of $3500 for paying my taxes on time and that all they want is my bank account number.  They had my correct address, name, and cell phone number... when they started asking for my bank account number, i told them since they had everything else to just read it off to me... the funny thing here is that they started reading off some bull s**t numbers...

I got a call from this number 301-561-2840, from Rex R White at the Government Grants Div.  He said my father had a grant from them for 5,000 because he paid his bills on time and had not filed bankruptcy.  He gave me my dads full name, address, SS# and said he just needed to verify his credit/debit card information to deposit the money in his account.  That it needed to be deposited within 48 hours.  I asked for his address and a return phone number..727-450-4610. address he gave is  Government Grants Div. @ 16 Highway St, Jacksonville Fl, 33110...I told him to call back at 3 pm so I could  check up on this company.  just to see what the phone number was I called the 727 # it asked for a 4 digit ID #, nothing to identify the company or anyone at that number.  I wonder if he will call me back.

I have recieved at least 20 calls from this number. 5 of them being on Saturday 12/22. When I came back at the men telling them I wasnt intrested in their scam they told me "jesus doesnt like proud people and that I was going to hell." I told him I was Jewish and would see him there and hung up. A hour later someone else with the same accent called and began to tell me about the $500 grant I had been selected to recieve. I cut him off and told him I worked for the IRS and would be happy to sign the papers when I was in my office the following week. He told me to have a nice day and they havent calle me back!

I got this call, I answered and heard nothing. I tried calling back, it was a invalid numer or something like that. Shouldn't we call the FBI or something?

I have gotten calls from this number numerous times. and answered it twice...once in fact was today because i forgot about that number.

the other time i had answered he had my address, and said that i was being given 3500 dollars for paying my taxes on time and because my family never declared bankruptcy.

this is insane...why can't anyone track these people?

I TOO GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER LAST NIGHT. WHOMEVER IT WAS HAD ALL MY ACCOUNT INFORMATION,NAME, ADDRESS, AND DATE OF BIRTH. IT SOUNDED LIKE HE WAS A TELEMARKETER BUT EVERYTHING WAS DONE IN A STRANGE WAY. HE SAID I WAS BEENING ISSUED A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,500, FOR PAY MY TAXES ON TIME. BUT IF YOU TRY TO CALL THE NUMBER BACK, IT'S SAID IT IS INVALID. I WAS ALSO ISSUED A 7 DIGIT PASSWORD TO GIVE TO A BANK TELLER. I WAS ALSO OFFERED A $100 GAS VOUCHER AND SOME LONG DISTANT SERVICE. I DONT KNOW WHO THE HELL WERE THESE PEOPLE BUT IT WAS A SCAM AND I CLOSED MY ACCOUNT TODAY. BE CAREFUL EVERYONE IF YOU'VE GIVEN THEM ANY INFORMATION, CHECK INTO YOUR ACCOUNT OR DO AS I HAVE DONE AND CLOSE IT.

JUST GOT THIS - $3500 GRANT - HAD MY ADDRESS - HEAVY MIDDLE EASTERN ACCENT - FREAKIN THEIVES  - THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A CALL BACK NUMBER

got this on my cell phone.. i get this a few times a week and i just don't answer.

This man with a heavy accent called my cell saying he has a grant for me for $5,000.  I asked him for what reason do you just want to give me $5,000 and he said for paying your taxes on time.  I said now I bet you are going to ask me for my bank account number. He said yes and I told him that he is an idiot and do you think I am stupid.  I told him to mail me the check and I will deposit it.  He said he couldn't and that he already had my account number. I asked him for it. It was a bogus number. I hung up he called me back and I didn't answer. I am going to find out how to report this number to some type of authority and anyone else of you that get a call please do so also to help protect ones that aren't smart enough for this scam!

When you get a call from this number please call the attorney generals office at 850-414-3990.  So far I am the only one to file a complaint on this number. Also this number is from Maryland so you also need to call 410-528-8662 to also report it. Hopefully if they get enough calls from us this person can receive justice and people that aren't so smart will not lose all their money to him!!!!!!!!!
