Left a blank message. I understand it's some company in Maryland. Unwanted call, so I consider it a scam.

Just got a call from this number. I answered and It is a person asking to rate out patient services for a medical center I was at recently. They asked no personal questions. Just the experience regarding service.

Thank you for this info!!! I was in the hospital about a month ago so this answers my question about what this number was that I was receiving calls from!!! I'm on limited number of minutes from a gov't phone service so I can't afford to be wasting minutes on calls when I have no idea who it is. If I don't recognize the number I don't answer it. Today I thought I'd google it to see if I would have any success in finding out what the number is to and I got lucky and found out!!! Anyway, thank you all for this info!!! Very informative!!!
Blessings to each of you that posted to let others know about this number!!!

That makes sense then. My husband has had two surgeries in the last 3 weeks.
Lumi 2014-05-28 02:01:44 Unknown
This is a hospital survey research company. Hospitals hire them to assess the quality of care delivered. I've had several phone calls from the last few months.
Angela 2014-05-03 18:38:08 Unknown
They have been calling my number looking for my husband. I finally answered and they said they were taking a survey on behalf of a hospital. I told them to take my number off their call list and said thanks and hung up.

I received one phone call from 301-575-9366. I called them back on their office phone of: 800-473-1771 between 8:30 - 5:30 EST. I politely asked the woman who answered the call to please remove my name from their call list, and she did so. If I receive another call, I will file a complaint.

This caller ? Heathstream - is a legitimate 'patient satisfaction' survey company that calls some patients who have recently had some kind of healthcare service provided for them. (In my case, I think they?re calling because of my out-patient surgery.) The other major such survey company is ?Press Ganey.?
Healthstream:
http://www.healthstream.com/
Press Ganey:
http://www.pressganey.com/
These medical survey calls are the result of a FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROGRAM under the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Both of the survey companies work for this federal program.
This is their website:
http://www.cms.gov/
It?s a comprehensive program that basically determines where all the money goes in the healthcare system. It has some control on bidding for medical service contracts, levels of reimbursement, and even the paycheck of the doctors who provide the services (especially those in hospitals and surgery centers), among many other things.
Of course, you don?t have to take the survey, and you?re free to cuss them out or even verbally abuse the caller, if you want (always remember that you don?t even have to answer any phone call, much less do what some stranger on the other end tells you to do!).
?however, this is a ?legitimate? call, in that they are not trying to scam you when they call you. They?re just part of the relationship between the government and the healthcare system.
I don?t think I?ll answer their survey - mainly because I don?t like giving personal information to strangers on the phone, even if it is ?legit.?

Have gotten 8 calls from this number in 1 DAY! Reporting and placing on DNC online and on my phone.
S. Lee 2014-04-22 20:12:11 Unknown
This "legit" company NEVER leaves a message...how do we know it's actually legit? No doctor I've been to has mentioned this company, or that they'd be calling my house repeatedly. No one here has been in the hospital, so this doesn't apply. Why get so defensive? People have a right to not be bombarded by survey calls. If they want to get ahold of us so badly for their "survey," they can mail us something but since no one here's been in the hospital, this really doesn't apply.
I applaud all consumers who ask questions and report things here-and don't appreciate the tone of your message.
Lee 2014-04-16 17:02:56 Unknown
they wont take me off there list. I get about 4 calls a day somedays from this company.

You can call Charlotte (receptionist) at 301-575-9300. Say you are conducting a survey about telemarketers and thank her for her time. Then ask "On a scale of one to ten with ten being the most and one being the least, how annoying are telemarketing calls that leave no message when they call."
Noanswer 2014-04-05 16:06:23 Unknown
This number has been calling me. They let the phone ring and ring and ring and ............... I tried to call them back from info I found above and you get a recording and they say you can wait for an operator. I let it ring and ring and ring and.....no answer. If they call again I will answer, and I will check with our state's attorney general.

I have been in the ER and Hospital a few times this past month.
I keep getting calls on my cell from this number and when I called the: 800-473-1771 (at 11:00AM EST this morning) to have my number removed: I got a message saying "that for an Insurance Quote Press 1 and to speak to a Customer Service Rep press 2."
I pressed 2 and got another message saying the Office is currently closed and to please call back between our Normal Business Hours Monday - Friday 8:30 to 5:30 EST. WTF?
I use an application on my Cell phone called Privacy Star, this app allows me to block numbers and even file complaints.

I got a call from that number today, while I was not at home. They had not left any message for me. I have been wondering all day about it.

Just out of the hospital, these people claimed to be with the hospital and medical organization I was in, which was a total lie. They totally misrepresented themselves from the very beginning. I thought it was odd, getting a Maryland area code & I live in Oregon. I wonder how in the World did they get my cell phone number? They actually knew more about my hospital visit than I did. (My memory isn't perfect anymore!) I did not give out any information and after several minutes of trying to get them to identify themselves, I hung up on them. I am glad I found this forum. Just Googled their phone number, this is great finding out the ttruth. I plan on calling my doctor & the hospital tomorrow morning, I gave no one permission to give out any info about me.

Great information!!! Thank You!
I keep blocking caller and then they call from another number, it's nice to know what they are actually up to. They tried to survey me and I told them I was too busy then blocked the number. Now, they have called 5 more times from different numbers. Unbelievable!

I received a call from Healthstream too and gave them a butt chewing. Told them I was going to report my doctor's office because they VIOLATED the HIPPA law by giving out my personal information! They hung up.

This number has called me twice during this past week. I don't know who they are or what they want. I only wish they would stop annoying me, because I won't answer!
Joe 2014-02-22 20:12:21 Unknown
If you spent time in a hospital they are doing a survey about your stay. It helps the hospitals know how good a job they are doing.

Hospitals are partially 'paid for performance'. The caller is from Healthstream who conducts a short survey on your recent health care experience. They will ask you to rate several categories on a performance scale of 1 - 10. Bear in mind that the hospital will receive NONE of the government funded monies unless you give them a rating of a 9 or a 10.
