Got the same thing called and talk to him he said I had to take the 200 to sum place and call him wen I get there hahaha. Then 3 days later the number disconeccted

Just received a call from this number saying I was owed a refund from taxes being done wrong in 2008/2009 that I am owed 2175 and that I have to pay a $200 penalty fee and they will release my funds. I was told to call John back when I was at a CVS Pharmacy to purchase a green dot money pack. This gentleman's name was John and had an accent and was very persistent. He mentioned that the funds would be transferred into my account within 6-8 hours after they received the 200 penalty fee.

I received this phone call and called the number back and got the same info as the people above hope they have no way to get my real tax refund information. I questioned the call because the individual gave me an american name and tax ID # 013747. He obviously had a indian accent which put me on alert. I wish that these people would leave me alone.

(301) 660-3238  this number called and stated i have a refund that's on hold and i need to past $200 to receive my $2100 tax refund. and when this Indian guy given me the wrong bank I've posted on this year. i also ask if he could take it off my tax return and he stated i need to pay $200 up front. i told him I'll call him back. so i called IRS directly and they stated it was a scam... Call IRS directly first before giving any of your info.

got a call about a tax credit from the Irs. said I had to pay a 200.00 pentaly to get 2,173  .they are not from the irs .it is a scam.

I received a call today.  I did call it back and when he said he was with the IRS I told him he wasn't and then hung up.  I hope they get him before he can get information from too many people.

I did directly call the IRS after receiving the same message as everyone else and they've received many calls regarding this number. The lady I spoke with said if more calls were received from this number to let the "gentleman" know that he was under investigation and the calls should stop.

They did me the same way,, i thought something was strange about it..

Got the call today from this number. they verfied by info then after i hung up i calledback... hmmmm havent EVER filled taxes with my married name (newly wed). man with horrible accnt getting rude and started swearing at me. I told him I was reporting them to the IRS.... nice try !

i actually spoke with a live person by the name of stu davis that made that same statement that everyone else appears to have heard at this present time i asked for a supervisior and he refused. so is it fair to say that all this is a case of fraud so where should we go from here !!!!

I received the voice message also and I DID call back 301-660-3238 since I am about to be homeless. The amount they stated was owed to me was $2,173.00 plus a $200 fee for doing my taxes wrong in the past years. I repeatedly called back and was hung up on every time. The last call I made the man told me to never call them again...

I got the call from 301-660-3238 about 30 min.ago it pissed me off when I called back and git a voicemail. That let me know it was BS.

I returned their call they hungup on me.

I recieved a message saying I was owed an additional 2173 dollars and identified themselves as the irs and I needed to return the call to verify my credentials.........did not return the call

BUT THEY HAD TO MUCH OF MY INFORMATION AND THAT BOTHERS ME,......EVERYTHING HE ASKED HE ANSWERED BECUZ I WASNT GIVING THEM NO INFORMATION.

This gentelman did not speak english well at all and became very frustrated and angry with my questions.

I got a phone call that was an automated voice saying i was getting a refund from the IRS. I just needed to call them back to verify my information. Very fishy didnt call back.

Left a voice message saying that my refund won't be released into my account until they verify my credentials. I don't know where I would be getting a refund from other than the IRS this time of year from my taxes, but I found this to be odd. I have not called this number back.

Same story, scam artists at work. I refuse to answer.

Received a call saying that there were errors in my taxes from the last couple years and stated there was $2100.00 waiting to be sent out to me and that I would need to pay a $200.00 penalty prior to them sending the money but they would not deduct it from the check itself

Just had a call and they left a message saying I had additional tax money owed. Yeah right and my money tree just sprouted for the spring.

This number called me today n said I had additional taxes dollars that I can get if I paid the fee for making mistakes on my refund.

This is a automated call saying you will have dollars (enter number I was told 2,051) for an additional tax return. Ha yeah ok, it would be nice but no Im not stupid to listen to what Micrsoft SAM (that digital voice but the female version) says. Heck its obvious by the dialog that it is by out of country spammers.
