multiple calls in the space of a few minutes...........

I received a call last night at about 8:00pm from some lady at this number identifying herself as a Wells Fargo representative calling about a loan modification to my home loan.  She gave me the correct loan number but we had not requested any loan modification on this loan.  She said it came across her desk and that if I had any further questions, contact 1-800-416-1472.  I called that number this morning as they were closed when the lady called last night and they said they do not know anything about what that lady is calling about.

Yesterday I got a first call from this #. Who are they?

Just called the 301-696-7000 number and it said it was disconnected.

this number is from wells fargo in frederick, md. it is the outgoing number that automatically shows up when employees call out. when you call it back it is invalid because of the system they used. my mom called me on it today and when i called her back on that 7000 number it had an error message. i had to call back on her cell to get in contact with her. this isnt a scam or anything, just a weird phone system.

I also got a call from this number and guess what I called back and said it was disconnteced, I thank they
should be sued for giveing our numbers out to someone that might be a scam..

I have Wells Fargo...So I would think this would be a legit call inquiring about a late mortgage payment. I wouldnt be too concerned about calling them back...they most likely have it there on purpose to try to work out payment arrangements...Dont pick up, I guess its just would look bad on your credit record that you are late.... These type unknown numbers typically call when I am late...

Hi i received a call from this number and said to send them $3058 for my loan modification, by Dec. 6th!! I asked for there info and did not get feedback, WHat The hell is Wells Fargo Bank doing, giving my information out. They Had all my info. PIST OFF CUSTOMER WITH WELLS

Its Wells Fargo, the reason it says disconected is that its an out line only they want
you to call there 800 number so phones get routed where they need to go.

got a call from this number on 16 Nov 2010 @ 0832 Pacific Time;
couldn't answer and they didn't leave a message;
tried calling it back later that day and got the disconnected message;
just tried it again (18 Nov 2010 @ 1548 PST) from a different phone and still got the disconnected message;
this is EXTREMELY odd;
even more so because a few people mentioned their mortgage is with Wells, and mine just got transferred to them;
that seems like a HUGE coincidence

It was weird. Sounded like an African American girl maybe 25ish and just trying to make a living, however scamming

Received a call October 26th @ 734pm & 735pm. No message left. I callled the number back, disconnected. I called Wells Fargo and they did not know the # and said it sounded fishy and most all Wells Fargo numbers are toll free numbers. Can you spell SCAM??!!

I got a call from 301-696-7000 today, 10/14/2010 @ 214p and when I called it back at around 445p, it too stated it was disconnected.  My mortgage is with Wells Fargo but I'm not certain I'd be validating any information with them over the phone from a number where the caller didn't leave a message and that is from a disconnected number.  It could be someone received personal information about me and are trying to call me and misrepresent who they are/trying to disguise themselves as Wells Fargo to gain access to my financial information....

If Wells Fargo needs to validate information for me, they can call, leave a message and I will be happy to call them back and ask for them to send me something in writing....

I'm reading the comments about this number...it's funny how someone wrote on September 14th and another on October 7th that they tried to call back and the number is disconected.  Now here it is November 18th and I also have received a call with no message and when I tried to call it back guess what!!  Disconnected!!!  Imagine that!!!  It's obvious that this is a scam of some sort and I can't imagine what bank said it was legit...what banks do you know whose numbers are disconnected every other day!!!  When I call my bank, I get through each and every time and get a live person too if I so choose!!!  What's going on with the FCC lately???  Aren't they the agency that takes care of harassing phone calls???

Calls from this number are from Wells Fargo in Frederick, Md. My caller ID read MARYLAND.

GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER, NOBODY THERE, TRIED TO CALL IT BACK, AND GOT A RECORDING SAYING IT WAQS DISCONNECTED.

Well my bank just called me back again and said this was actually legit.  I'm still curious why they called me over the phone and asked for this info and didn't just send it to me in the mail.

I also got a call from this number asking to validate my personal info.  They said they were from my Bank.  Does anyone know if this legit?
