Same call. Says he is Assistant Deputy Rodney Benson from Dea. Accent.  Says I purchased illegal drugs from online pharmacy that was "smuggling drugs from Dominican Republic" and DEA agents would be here within an hour.  "Keep in mind they have a search warrant for your premises and an arrest warrant for yourself".  Couldn't tell me what specific statute I had violated, nor what the evidence was that resulted in a sufficient cause warrant.  Could not give me a badge number or what field office was leading this investigation.   Said the federal agents would tell me all that when they got here, but keep in mind, you are going to jail for 3 years.  Said I would have my attorney call him, I would not respond to any charge via phone, they needed to send a letter, and I would not open my door to any strangers.  Google this more if you aren't convinced - its a scam.  They get to asking you to wire money to "pay your fine" so you don't get arrested.  Thanks to everyone who posted so I can "laugh it off" and go about my business.

Same number called threatening arrest warrant and search warrant.  When I told him, I was going to report
this number to the DEA, he said Shut the F___ Up!

still shaking from the idea of this! this is so not ok.never done anything illegal but it freaked me out! this guy or people need to be stopped, how do we do that? i am for leading the way ASAP. this is my home, my personal space. he should not be able to invade it at will and THREATEN ME AND MY LIVELIHOOD!

Voice Message left by a Rodney Benson, claiming to be a DEA agent from Maryland, looking for my deceased wife.   He is claiming that they have a warrant for her arrest and are coming to search my premises.

Just called AGAIN! Told him I am calling POLICE

They are at it again! Some scammer called me this morning.  It was a very bad connection; probably from a satellete phone in another country.  I told him that he was the 11th joker to try this in the last 2 weeks. Next I told him to 'F*** Off."  He told me that I should show him some respect. Yeah Right! I going to show respect to someone trying to scam me.

Received a message from this caller saying he was the DEA and had an arrest warrant for me and a search warrant for my house. This person had a deep accent and could barely speak English. Said he was Deputy Benson and for me to call right away or else. I have received several similar calls from different numbers and know this is a big scam.

Second time I got a phone call stating DEA Agent Deputy Benson was coming to arrest me. States warrant pending and  to call him back urgently! I went to the DEA online site which warns of this scam.Do Not respond.They are trying to scare people into paying money to get out of being arrested. Pfft! I am sure if the DEA wants someone they will come unannounced and arrest them .Do not get suckered . And do not get scared...People prey on others fears.I suspect this man got hold of some list and is trying to make money by scaring innocent people. Most of all do not answer the phone or hang up immediately.

I constantly am getting calls from this number the last one was Deputy chief Rdney Bently 12-18-2012 from the DEA saying I have federal charges against me also an arrest warrent and a search warrent for my home that there are federal charges filed against me. I havnt lived in the U.S. for 4years now. Funny how someone lets you know they have a search warrent that's like saying I'm comming over now hide all your stuff LOL

I too received a phone call / voice mail message from this (DEA Drug Enforement Administration) Special Agent Rodney Bently yesterday afternoon. The same information was left on my machine except he called me by my maiden name ( married over 6 years). Seems this person must have gotten on line customer service list and trying to SCAM money I have called REAL DEA Justice Dept (1-866-254-5970)  notifying them that there is a person who is calling people personating a DEA Officer and looking for money from them..

We received a voice mail on our home phone stating that Deputy Agent in Charge, Rodney Benson, with Rockville Md DEA office had a search warrant for our house and an arrest warrant.  Suspecting a scam, we called the local police dept and filed a report.  The officer assured us there was not a federal arrest warrant out and that the call was probably a simple mistake.  A second call from the "agent" this morning demanded that we go to a Federal Court House 5 hrs away and pay an $1800 fine by 1:00 or the warrant would be issued.  As an alternative, we could go to Walmart and send a Moneygram by 1:00.  We asked for more information, report # or detail, the "agent" stated that would be available in the arrest warrant, and he became increasing beligerant.

At this point, we called the local PD again.  We were assured by the second officer that this is a scam, and federal officers do not demand payment on the spot.  He also advised not to answer the calls and that they would eventually stop.

I had a message on my home phone saying that I needed to contact special agent Benton at the DEA.  When I call this morning he said that special agents would be coming to my house to arrest me and search my house for medication I supposedly purchased on line years ago.  He said that I would have to go to a federal courthouse and pay my fine...of $1050 dollars.  If I did not pay the fine I would be prosecuted and sent to federal prison for 5 years.  He knew my address and said he would reprt it and get the agents here within an hour.   I told him that I would have my attorney contact him.  He started getting very agitated and when I got upset he said that since I couldn't get the money to the courthouse, he would see what kind of arrangements he could come up with.... I hung up and called my attorney.   I looked up the number and found that I am not the only one this has happened to.!

I got a call from this number saying that they were the DEA and had a search warrant  for my house and that I have to call them back or they would exexecute the warrant.  He had a deep mexican accent and if I did not call back I would be in even more trouble.
