To all that read these post...PLEASE report this to your local DEA agency as I did.  This is not the first time this has happened to me.  A couple of years ago was the first time and I was in tears..scared to death and contacted my local DEA agent.  He  actually came to my place of business and spoke to these scammers posing as my attorney.  When the caller realized he was specking to an actual agent he hung up quick!!  Since that occurrenceI have received three other calls from different numbers and today again from this Leroy person.  When  I receive these phone calls I inform them they are being recorded and reported!!

Prank Call
Today I received what  was a very lengthy voice recording from this same phone number. Couldn't understand most of what he said because it sounded like he was in a hollow box with his nose plugged. Kept quoting numbers and saying my name and did say he was Leroy Soloman and that he was from the DEA and that I had apparently purchased illegal drugs from Gaylord Pharmaceuticals. Utterly ridiculous that this guy is still making prank calls!

With all the phone call tracking the NSA (National Security Agency) is doing you would think the DEA or some government crime unit would be able to shut this guy down by now. He is still calling and harassing people...I just listened to a voice mail from this idiot.

I just received the same (very lengthy) call from Leroy.  It was kind of rambling and he kept on repeating my name.  I dont think he asked directly for money on the message, but he indicated I should call him back.  I agree that this is a scam.  A real DEA agent would not leave such a lengthy and icoherent message.  This website is great.  Hope no one else gets scammed by him

He just called me and said I would be arrested because I had purchased weight loss drugs over the internet to oversee's companies and it was illegal. I told him I had no idea it was illegal and he said that the local authorities would be coming to arrest me and search my house. What a jerk. I hope it's not real and from what I'm reading of the other comments, it's a scam. Can anything be done to this guy? And it wasn't just him, there is a woman who answers the phone and I got transferred to him. He said he was from the Maryland DEA field office, but I couldn't find a legitamate DEA office that had a 301 area code.

I just got this same message!  Could not understand his name, very heavy Spanish accent.  This same # called me a few months ago (different idiot).  At that time I called and left a message on the "DEA" voice mail saying" I know you are not the DEA and all you want is money.  I will not give you any money, so move on."  They must be running out of names to call. DO NOT LET THEM INTIMIDATE YOU-THEY ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH.  Incredible what people will do these days to make money.  I hope they get caught.  By the way, I read in another listing on the internet that they are calling from the Dominican Republic, using magic jack to make their numbers look like USA numbers.

Because the calls are actually being made from the country of India.  Therefore he cannot get caught by the United States ....

Don't feel bad Rob, I fell for it too because i was an addict back about a decade ago and did some stupid crap. I just figured well, i guess my chickens have come home to roost. After a few phone calls i started thinking this Sullivan guy was not very smart and had a very limited vocabulary for a guy who just supposedly had a meeting with the DA.Then i started thinking about the statute of limitations and a conversation with agent Castillo i had earlier that morning and then after a few hours i went online and discovered it was a scam.I had never had any experience with these scams before. The funny thing is the DEA is doing an investigation but the investigation is being done on these scammers not the people who bought pills 10 years ago online. A woman actually committed suicide over this scam because they scared her so bad. Now i'm angry and pissed that this number is still being used to harass people. I think it's time for these guys to get busted. There are posts about this from a year ago. I mean how long does it take to track these guys down before somebody else dies.

This a** called me and left a message on my voicemail.  Freaked me out for the whole day...  I should have known better with his ridiculous accent.  He said was from the "CDC Illinois" investigating Gaylord Pharmaceuticals and that I was a "main suspect" in the "Federal/National investigation."  I called the number back and got the message that they could not answer the phone because of the government shutdown.  He's pretty crafty with the timely shutdown message.  You would think he would change his name once in a while though.

Received the same call as described today 9/24/13.  You can report through an on-line form on the DEA website.

http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubs/pressreleases/extortion_scam.htm    If you go to this link, you can read the DEA's warning about this scam.  At the bottom of the page is a link to on-line form to report this.

Please take a few minutes to report.

ALERT - EXTORTION SCAM - ALERT
DEA Warns Public of Extortion Scam by
DEA Special Agent Impersonators
The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the public about criminals posing as DEA special agents or other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scheme.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the lnternet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies.  The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the lnternet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

The DEA reminds the public to use caution when purchasing controlled substance pharmaceuticals by telephone or through the Internet.  It is illegal to purchase controlled substance pharmaceuticals online or by telephone unless very stringent requirements are met.  And, all pharmacies that dispense controlled substance pharmaceuticals by means of the lnternet must be registered with DEA.  By ordering any pharmaceutical medications online or by telephone from unknown entities, members of the public risk receiving unsafe, counterfeit, and/or ineffective drugs from criminals who operate outside the law.  In addition, personal and financial information could be compromised.

Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be a DEA special agent or other law enforcement official seeking money should refuse the demand and report the threat.

Just received the same call, from same guy. I did freak me out because during that time frame I did buy form an online rx. I only made a few purchases because of no insurance and the calls have never stopped. They must have sold the phone number list. I would get 10 calls a wek on average and this  was in 2009 almost 5 years ago.

The same thing happened to me today. This time this so called "Roy Soloman" called and left a message stating that he was a DEA Officer and that I had purchased illegal drugs over the internet and I was going to be arrested and thrown in jail. However, we knew about this scam so we had a little fun. My husband, a former Army Special Forces/Psychological Operations officer called "Roy Soloman" back and told him that if he continued to harass me that he ("Roy Soloman") would be sorry he ever called and he should be looking over his shoulder because "Roy Soloman" is being tracked down. He actually was afraid! By the way - we also called the DEA directly at (877) 922-8732 and reported the call(s).
