they called me too, my phone tells me there from "New Market, MD"

they call me for ticket information

yeah this number just called me too... i didn't pick up because i didn't know the area code. they didn't leave a message either. what's "ticket information" ? like regarding traffic tickets ?

they called my company cell and didn't leave a message. I called the number back and it went to an automated system for an advertising agency. It said something about a promotional travel ticket offer and if I was calling from Texas to press 1 or if I want to be placed on the do not call list press 705. I pressed 705 and they asked for my name and telephone number. I hung up. Maybe they'll call again and I'll tell them to add to the DNC list then.

Waiting till they call again won't do any good, its a recording.
Claiming I entered a drawing for free travel.

If I did that, I wouldn't have given my cell number.

OMG they just called me TODAY 6/27/08 I also didnt answer because i didnt know the number! they left me a message saying i won 2 FREE tickets with all my expenses paid to Acapulco Puerto Vallarta, i could choose whichever i wanted!!! This is a total scam!

Same story here.  Message says I signed up for a promotion and won a free trip to (XXXXX, can't remember the locations but Puerto Vallarta was one of them).

Yep, whomever this scam agency is, they called me on my cell and left a message saying that I won a Promotional package from Westar (I think), that includes 2 nights and 3 days to either Cancun, Aculpulco, or Puerto Vallarta. The thing is...I'v never signed up for a package, none the less gave my cell number to any travel agency company. The package deal that they claim to be free, is really only offered to couples (spouses whom are married)), or individuals whom are 25 and older. I'm 18, so where do I fall in place? And as far as being 25 and over to qualify, must have something to do with credible, credit information.

ohh yes even i received a call from this number and they left a voicemail saying that i won in a lucky draw some free tickets for a holiday for 2days 3nights.Supposedly i had filled a form last year but I travelled to US for the first time this year!!

This number called me when I was at work so I didn't answer it, the left a message but I just deleted it because I didn't know the number.  The must know that people recongnize a scam.  It's totally bogus.

same, 623 west valley. left a message on my cell (AT&T). "Maggie with Sand Star Advertising" about airfare/hotel accommodations for two. I wish!

Called my cell phone I ignored it and it left voicemail, "Maggie with Sandstar Advertizing" some vacation package pusher, saying the same thing, filled out a drawing blah blah blah.. call some 800 number.

Yep called my phone just a few minutes ago.  I let it go to voicemail.  They actually managed to leave a message.

I know personally for a fact that AT&T sells my mailing address off.  For 2 years they had the wrong name on my bills.  I didnt bother with it, they managed to get two t's replaced with two p's in my last name.  I thought it a little funny when I started getting spam from all sorts of places with the same two wrong letters.

More fun is I gave my soc to sign up for my phone service.  Do they even check the names against the social numbers?

i got same call -- weird vacation offer. Also 512 code (me).

They are now doing the 281 area code...

received call from 301-882-9944. No message left.

Left V/M that my "spouse" and I had won one of FOUR FABULOUS PRIZES! I don't have a spouse.

Got the call at about 9:12 am in AZ area code 928 on my cell. Did not recognize the number so let it go to voice.  Said I filled out some form at some event a year ago and won free round trip tickets for two and to call back.  Something in there about an Omni Group Promotional Packet they would send me. Obviously I'm not calling back.

called my cell in AZ area code 928. I am with Verizon wireless.
Female caller said that I had won something from an entry I filled out several months ago. She said I had won free airfare to any destination in the usa. She then left me the following# to call back for instructions on how to collect my prize: 1-800-264-0532

Alright well I called them back and left a message asking how they received my personal number and why they were going through so many people in the 512 area code today.  I'm sure I won't hear anything back, but whatever. To leave a message, I pushed 1 for the first option and then I hit 0 rather than listen to that weird woman go on and on.

I just got a call from this number a few minutes ago.  I'm also in Austin and I have AT&T service.  

I wish there was a way to spam these people back.

Same here ... AT&T with 512 area code.  The just called at 2pm.  Could AT&T have been compromised?  Everyone that posts here should specify if they are with AT&T or not and if they are in the 512 area code.  This may help with complaints to both AT&T and the FCC.

Suggest everyone else do the same!
