yes. i rented an suv from enterprise last weekend, and now just got a call from this number (301.882.9962).

I too just returned an enterprise car this past weekend and I an getting these calls. I didn't answer, they didn't leave message.

Did not answer call. Rented from enterprise last thurs. I can now assume it was them.

Also rented from Enterprise car rental this past week. I didn't know the number so I didn't pick up...no message left.

Rented a car from Enterprise three days ago.  Got a call from this number.  Missed the call, left a blank voicemail in my inbox.

I too got this as a missed call on my cell phone and what bothers me is that when I called the number back, I got a long voice message going on and on about how they are not a telemarketer and they don't fall under the Do Not Call regs because they do market research and we are ethical...one doth protest too much, it felt like.

If they had left me a message saying they were following up on my Enterprise rental experience, I would have been happy to discuss it. What I am not happy to do is receive "missed call" alert from an unknown caller and then hear a spiel that sure sounds like this is a company that practices "sugging"--Sales Under the Guise of Marketing Research.

I rented from National the past few days and returned the car yesterday.  Someone from this number called my SISTER, whose number was never disclosed in the transaction, looking for me, claiming they were National Car Rental.  This is ridiculous. It's not Enterprise.  And they are using something like Intelius to find people.

Just opened a best buy card and got a call this evening?!?!
Definitely has to do with credit  transactions.

Rented enterprise car week ago. no msg left

I called this number back and was told it was Merit Research.  The message said they were a company that solicited opinions to help their customers.  

Because they are not a "telemarketing" company, this is approved through both the National and State do not call list.  

The message provided a number you could call if you wish your number to be removed (to stop phone calls).  This number is 800.864.8601.  I called, entered my number and received the message that it would take up to 3 days to remove any further calls.  Lets see if it works.

I got a call and rented from Enterprise yesterday.

Just got a call from 301-882-9962, picked up, no one on the other end. Call disconnected.

Call received 04/19/12 at 5:40p and my Verizon phone promptly dropped the call (due to living in weak-signal-strength "known problem area" as VZW tells me) just as I said "hello."  I'm hoping it may have been Sprint with a 75% off new-customer-offer, however,,, I recently had a long-term rental from Enterprise so I suspect it was likely their "customer satisfaction survey" which the Enterprise counter agents have frequently warned me about.

I don't mind responding to Enterprise, but please consider EMAILING me and let me respond at MY CONVENIENCE.  Calling and interrupting a meeting, or meal, or DISTRACTING ME WHILE I'M DRIVING (possibly destroying one of your rental cars), will NOT make me a "completely satisfied customer."

You have my email address ... please use that in lieu of future telephone surveys.

Shideh, don't answer it and they'll stop calling you.  I think it is Enterprise car rental doing telemarketing.

I haven't been around to answer my phone, but I see 301-882-9962 on my caller ID.

They don't leave a message and I am not going to call it back.  So I haven't a clue who it is or what company.  Don't care to know or waste my time calling them.

Can't this number be reported to BBB or some government office to investigate?

I am glad I 'googled' the number and read these posts.I just rented a car from Enterprise for two weeks. I returned it Saturday and got my first call from this number to my cell phone on Monday at 5:15 PM CST (Since I travel I must have given Enterprise my cell phone number) They called again tonight at 8:15 PM CST. Always no message. I just make it a practice to never answer the phone if I do not recognize the number, I figure if it is important enough, they would leave a message!

I just got a call at this # (almost 9 pm PDT, which would be close to midnight in Maryland).  Did not answer since I didn't recognize the #.  I rent from Alamo every week.  If they're going to bug me, I'm going to switch companies.

Rented from Alamo/enterprise last week from work. After reading comments it could be them. Now I'm mad!

I received a call at 8:38 pm on a Sunday night also. They did not leave a message but I also recently rented from Enterprise as well.

Just received a call from 301-882-9962, in the caller ID it read in all caps ENTERPRISE.  Enterprise what? It was not Enterprise Rent-A-Car. And as others have stated, they didn't leave a message. Praise the Lord for Android apps that can block unwanted calls and SMS text messages! I know companies (and people) have to make money, but they could leave us a message and let us decide if we want to call them back. Because after all NONE of these annoying callers can actually make us answer the phone.

YOU ARE P*SS*NG OFF YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS BY CALLING THEM AND NOT LEAVING A MESSAGE -- AND, ANNOYING THE H$LL OUT OF THEM -- SO NEXT TIME I THINK ABOUT RENTING A CAR, I MIGHT ALSO BE THINKING ABOUT HOW TO AVOID THESE OBNOXIOUS, UNWANTED, BOTHERSOME CALLS -- WHICH WOULD BE TO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AGAIN.

Called my cellphone at 6:30 pm.  I never give this number out, but gave it to Enterprise Car Rental last week while renting a car.  Didn't answer at first, but then called back & got an automated message saying it was "market research" and, as such, their calls are not governed by national or state Do Not Call registries.  How convenient.  It said to call 1-800-864-8601 to register your phone on that company's Do Not Call list.  I just did that, so we'll see if I've made things better or worse.
