Got a call on my cell phone from this number, they did not leave a message.

Called my unlisted cell phone number in the 214 area code (Dallas).  I let it go to voicemail since I didn't recognize the number.  It was a pre-recorded message saying that I won a western Caribbean cruise, and said to press 1 to claim the prize.  Area code 301 is western Maryland.

got a call from this number, pre-recorded message from weststar advertising saying i was selected from a drawing last year for round trip airfare and 3 night accommodations to some place.  i wouldn't recommend ever calling them back, it's probably phone spam.  if you call them back, they will know that your number is active and keep calling.  weird thing is, i used to live in the 707 area, now i have a 719 number, stalkers

Just a call on my cell from this number. Didn't pick up and googled the number to find this forum.

Strangely, I now live in Maryland and have a home (301) number, but I'm from Colorado and my cell is a (719) number.

Received a call from WestStar this morning (friday). Didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail. Apparently I had been selected in a drawing from last year (07) for a free trip to Florida. They said that it was for me and my "spouse", which is impossible because I am SINGLE. Strange thing is that I got this phone and number THIS year (08). My number is a 719 number from Colorado.

Obviously a scam.

How'd they get my number?

I received a phone call today to my private Colorado cell phone number.  I too did not recognize the phone number so let it go to voice mail.  Received a message from "Mary...the pre-recorded voice" stating the form I filled out at one of their promotional events had been selected and my spouse and I were the winners of two round trip airline tickets as well as three nights accomdations to three locations of my choice.  "Mary" did identify herself as being with WestStar Marketing as mentioned above.

I am also from 707 area code. That number called my work cell phone number, but when I answered the call, there was no response. I used my work desk phone to call back the number and it was a messaging system for a marketing Firm which I think they said was the promotional offices for WestStar Marketing. It had options to select if you recived a call about being selected for a promotional vacation package for Texas and California. I did nothing else.

I am also from 707 area code. That number called my work cell phone number, but when I answered the call, there was no response.

I just got a call from same number. No one said anything and finally call disconnected. Have had several of these same calls. I wish people could get real jobs.

So, i received a call from 3018829971. Was provided 888-523-9087 as a call back number. Googled both numbers, but only found Message boards like this one.

Called the 888-523-9087 number and was told I would qualify for the free trips if:

1) I am married, or in "Couple" status
2) I am over the age of 35
3) I make a combined household income of $50,000/yr plus

I live alone, make less then $50,000, and haven't reached my 30s.

SPAM!!!

Both me and daughter got these same calls on our cell phones.  we never fill out those things, so it totally spamish.  Added number to my blackberry black list, it will never ring again for that number.  I love my Blackberry.

Here's how to give them a dose of their own medicine.

Call back that number from an unlisted landline, follow the prompt.  At the end you will be asked to leave name, number and preferred schedule to meet them.  Give false name and number, and it is important to pick the earliest date.  Then they would have their reps/telemarketers listen to messages that are requesting early meetings - thus efficiently wasting their time and money as well - payback!!  I left them 4 messages 4 different names from the series Heroes :), earliest times.  Leave as many as you can, you dont have to wait for their sales pitch the second time around, just press 1, 1, and 3-digit code.

I got a call from this number. Said I won a cruise. No reason for me to have this info.

Recieved a voicemail on my company cell phone, stating that I had entered a drawing and won a 4 night hotel stay + airfare at any one of 5 locations.  Recoreded message said to call back 888-523-9087 to claim prize.  Not calling back the #, as I don't recall entering any drawing.

301-882-9971 called my cell at noon on Jan 30,2008. Went to voice mail.No message left.

I got the same VM message yesterday like Debbie did.  Never called them back.
