Okay, so at least a month later, still getting messages from Victoria Scott and Michael King.  Still do not say who the message is for.  This one is from Victoria Scott stating that this is a second attemp to get the attorney's contact information and to call back at 301-547-3251.  I believe that was the number due to it was going in and out and not clear. Sounded like a recording.  I submitted a complaint submitted through FTC.  Anyone getting these calls needs to submit a complaint.

this is what scam call fighters says about these a$$holes:

David Fights . Lead Investigator at Scamcallfighters

If someone calls to convey important matter, he/she is expected to inform us the matter, straight away.

The reason the scammers ask to call back is to allow the matter to sink in, creating confusion and tension in the potential victim.

The weak could get easily stressed & lose their ability to remain cool and the scammer will drive the screw deeper, eventually getting the victim to shell out money.

Scammers use the sentence ?You or your attorney should call back? within a specified time, very often during the bogus debt collection and extortion calls.

The intent of the scammer is definitely NOT to get your attorney to call. The scammer knows that almost no one would have an attorney in place, to handle the situation arising out of the threatening telephone call he has just made. The idea is to make the call look legit and the threat seem real.

The victims would not want to engage an attorney straight away, because of costs and trouble involved and instead will call back themselves and could get trapped, if they are not smart enough to spot the scam.

The scammer will emotionally drain the victim scaring him or her to death who would then proceed to pay money, to get out of the non existent ?trouble?.

What would happen if someone gets an attorney to call back?! If an attorney calls back, the scammer would play it safe, excuse himself and hang up!!

Okla,

It's not a real litigation, just some scammer trying to get you to part with your hard earned money. Don't fall for it please. I've had about 20 of these calls in the last couple weeks, threatening to upload files to my county if I or my attorney didn't return their call. If you've ever filled out any application online that called for your SS Number & other personal information, these thieves buy  the list  from do***ebag companies that sell the information to make money. Thieves buy the information and use it against you. No one actually is doing any uploading & reason I say that is, If they were filing charges of any kind, you would have been notified by certified mail way before you got any phone calls. Even then, if they were after you, they're not going to warn you.... the sheriff is just going to show up on your doorstep with a summons. Even if you do owe money, it's not a criminal offense & they can't haul you off to jail. They would however, set a court date and so on. Next call you get...IGNORE THE PHONE...IT'S A THIEF. There are so many of these scams going on that you really don't know what is real and what isn't but trust me, if they were for real...you'd be getting a summons, not a phone call.

I just received the voicemail from the number 301-907-3941 and so I called it back and i was told the same thing, but they have all my information and I was told that they  are prosecuting me today, due to I have a loan out that hasn't been paid and it ran through my savings account 5 times and now I have bad checks out. I'm not sure what is going on, but has anyone spoke to them to get details. I asked what loan company, but they couldn't give me really any information.

She did ask for my attorneys name and number also. I'm not sure what I need to do

Received a call today same message I can't believe people actually make a living doing this.  Imagine how much they get away with it when they call the elderly or people who owe so much money that they cant justify if it's legit!  Send a sheriff deputy to my door a***oles...thats how true litigation works.

No they are not real.  They have called from so many different #s: 301-907-3941, 301-830-6076, 301-652-6799.  I received a call and it showed up on the caller id as Fraud Unit. Left a message said her name was Sharon Burrell (not sure due to it was hard to hear) and she was from Financial Litigation Services and to call back at the same number (301-652-6799) with my attorneys contact information for an affidavit that is being downloaded to the county today.
Then I received another call ....I had received a call yesterday and it showed up on the caller id as Fraud Unit. Left a message said her name was Sharon Burrell (not sure due to it was hard to hear) and she was from Financial Litigation Services and to call back at the same number (301-652-6799) with my attorneys contact information for an affidavit that is being downloaded to the county today.
Received another call today from 301-652-6799, from Veronica James, to call back at 301-710-5355. They do not even say who they are calling for in the message.
Then they called from 301-830-6076.  One day it showed Unknown Name and the next day it shows as Fraud Unit. I have reported to everyone I can (FTC, etc).  I can only suggest you all do the same.
My lawyer told me this is a scam.
Now I am getting calls again this week from a Michael Keene or Michael Keaton from 301-907-3941, same message.

I just got a call from these SAME scumb@gs here, as well. They probably left a NASTY voice mail, but I'm NOT listening to THAT noise...I'm just gonna DELETE it, and ignore those turds! They'll EVENTUALLY give up and quit after a while. If this number calls any of YOU out there, I suggest you ignore them, too! They are NOTHING but BAD, BAD news! Keep up the GOOD fight, and...DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY!!! ;-)

These people keep calling me saying that some case against my number and they never say who they're looking for but the files are being uploaded to my county today and If I return their call, they want to work something out with me. Problem is, I keep getting these calls from different numbers, with the same threat but they never follow through. This is a definite scam because no one is going to answer a phone that says Litigation on the caller id and if they were actually were filing suit...they're sure as hell not going to warn you first so you could run or just say "well you got the wrong person" when the sheriff would show up at the door. Definite Scam
