Some recording asking if I want to extend my car warranty, I pressed 1 to do just that and spoke to some transfer rep wanting to know my car make, and when I asked to speak to a manager, they hung up. I tried to call back, but the phone number was no longer in service. This was not the first time they called and I bet it's not the last. Don't buy anything from any of these people. It is a scam.

Automatic message warned me that my car's extended warranty is about to run out (which is bogus).  When operator comes on, he then asks for the make and model of my car; I asked him which of my cars did you call about?  The guy could not answer any of my questions.  I asked what company he was with with, he said "Auto Solutions"; I asked to talk to his supervisor, and he hung up on me.  I tried calling the number back and got a message that the number is no longer in service.

I get calls from many different numbers about my cars warranty, and this is another... Man, it's nice to know there are a ton of people out there worrying about me and my ride... To bad the only thing they have to do with me is, separating me from my wallet... The scum of the earth. I'd like to call them back and offer a one way Rocket Ride, back to their country of origin. One small rocket, a roll of duct tape, and the next call would at least have a different country code... This is what we get for being so liberal. 302-221-1509 Everyone should call this number back "collect"

I'm going to scream! Yesterday got a call from 303-615-9102 and now this one (302-221-1509 from Denver)!  I called it back after not answering and it was just a busy signal exactly like the one I called back yesterday!

When I looked up yesterday's number, almost every single person said the same exact thing: they got hung up on and that the company claimed to be with the Dish Network or a car warranty place.

I just know they are going to harass me more, so next time I will answer and tell them I am contacting the police, government law enforcement agencies, and the National Fraud Center. I probably won't be able to get that whole sentence out since they'll probably hang up on me.

You can report fraud to the National Fraud Center and fill out an online form--maybe if enough of us do it, they'll see what a problem it is!

I received a call to my cell phone from 302-221-1509 at 1:54 p.m. EST today while I was in my boss's office.  I hit the "reject" button on the cell phone in lieu of answering.  I looked up the caller id, and as I suspected, another scam artist.   I have also received a call on July 10th from 702-631-8402, which upon searching found that it was an automobile warranty scam.

We have also received a post card from "Dealers Warranty" 745 Frieden's Road, St Charles, MO 63303. 888-963-6723.  Upon investigation, found that this appears to be one and the same company with active litigation filed by the MO Attorney General's office for deceptive advertising practices.  I printed a copy of the MO AG's news release, and mailed it to the company.

On Monday of this week we received a mailer from "Warranty Division"  PO Box 1648 Bloomington IL, 877-914-7776.

I will indeed file the FCC complaint regarding the call to my cell phone, now that I know it is one of the automobile warranty scam artists.

Here is what we should do as the public.

First, write to your congress people, the officials in your state, and the White House and tell them to enact legislation that will (a) require the FCC to investigate and prosecute all complaints,  (b) provide for unlimited punitive damages victims can collect for violations  (c) that creates a "do not mail" registry, administered by the postal system and which prohibits the postal system delivering bulk rate mail to registrants.   Bury Washington DC's offices, and the DC area postal distribution system in complaint letters.  Make it so they cannot function for the many tons of paper we send to Washington every day.   We tell Washington that we'll stop burying their offices in paper when they do something about the junk call and junk mail problem.  Send one letter a week every week until Washington enacts the legislation we want.  The idea is to brow beat them into submission.

Second, file a DNC violation complaint for EVERY inbound call.   Don't use the on-line form.  Mail it it so the FCC has to handle the paper.

I know that this forum is about phones, and not mail.  But, to combat junk mail, do not throw away the mail pieces.  Mark them "refused. Return to sender" and recirculate them in a street corner mail box in some other city.  If everyone did that, we would force the U.S.P.S. to handle the mail pieces twice.   If U.S.P.S. puts it back in your mail box,  just turn it right back out into another corner mail box, and let U.S.P.S. handle the mail pieces a third time if they want to.   Clog the system with this practice, and U.S.P.S. might enthusiastically support a Do Not Mail registry.

Ask for legislation that makes it a criminal offense for a sales clerk to ask for personally identifiable information for cash sales.   They ask for your phone number so they can track your purchases, and have you targeted for advertising campaigns.  Just don't give it out unless the entity can prove to your satisfaction that they must have the information to complete the transaction you initiated.

I think the bottom line is that the government isn't going to do anything about these problems while we complain in forums and send electronic complaints to the FTC that end up some office drone's electronic recycle bin. We the American consumers need to restore our dignity and privacy by rising up in one voice, in the form of millions of extra mail pieces per month descending on Washington.

I have been fighting this fight with the direct marketing industry since last fall.  I've made some progress personally, but I won't be satisfied until I can be left alone to enjoy my home and my family in peace.

Just like everyone else, I got this call this morning, didn't answer it, and they didn't leave a message. Then when I googled the phone number I came across this site. I've actually been getting these calls for about a year now at my work, but we don't have caller ID there, so I never know when its going to be a scam call. Next time they call back, I'm going to DEMAND that they take me and my business off their list!

Just googled this number.  Here is what came up as a google directory listing:

Tina Mccall (302) 221-1509 New Castle, DE 19720

Sounds like the phone number is being spoofed, if people are getting a recording.  I've seen on-line services that allow phone number spoofing to hide the caller's true phone number.   The services suggested uses are legitimate, like an on-call doctor spoofing his home phone number to read as the office number in order to protect his home phone number when he calls a patient back.    For every legitmate use of the service, there are at least a dozen unethical uses.

Either that, or the individual Google's service names got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

Ha, they just called. And for some reason, anytime an unknown number calls me, I always reject it. Get to the nearest computer. Google the area code only as "area code 302" and see what pops up before I decide to call it back.

-First result, is this. What coincidence that simply by typing in "area code 302", I automatically get this. Good to know. This is the first time I've ever received calls from any scammer. I will not call back. But what can we do to stop this, or block people like this?

This number called me, I spoke to an operator and asked what company she was with... She replied "warranty services". I asked what vehicle warranty expired, she asked me to what vehicles I had and told her I had a jeep. Then told her that she called my cellphone and it was about to loose power. Told her to call me back on my home phone and gave her the emergency contact number for the us embassy. This is a warranty scam.

For 2 FKN months I keep getting this call on my cell phone. Same thing about a car warranty expiring. I always hang up after hearing the beginning of recording. Today I called the number back and it said the number is disconnected. Probably a message phone they recorded to say this because it is NOT OUT OF SERVICE. Next time I get the call I will wait for a human to come on and curse him out!! I'm going to find out what phone company in the 302 area code I can call and complain of being harassed with this number.

Just received call on cell phone.  Pushed the reject button on the phone instead of answering.   The automotive warranty scammers are really out in force.  Between the mail and the phones, we've been getting hammered with them.
